When I open Itunes on my Sony Vaio with windows vista all of the playlists are gone. All music is still there, just no playlists
My ITunes playlists are missing when I open ITunes on my Sony Vaio. The computer has Windows Vista as an operating system. All the music is still in the library but all playlists are gone. Any ideas?
There is some Sony media management software often preinstalled on Vaio systems that causes a conflict with iTunes saving its library database file. See this Apple support article:

You are not alone. I'm getting the same thing I'm running Vista. I'm reading that Windows 8, 8.1 preview, Vista and XP.
I'm thinking this has to be a Apple update to iTunes 11.0.4.4 fix.

I have rented a movie on apple tv and wish to finish it on my mac book air. When I open iTunes on my mac book air I can not see the movie in iTunes. It is an authorised device and I can see other purchases just. How do I fix it?

when i open iphoto i see my photo's for 1 second and then they are gone .The photo's are still there but i can see them only on the bottom or top of my screen when i try to open them i get a sign that it is not possible.Can somebody please help me?
Have you upgraded to iPhoto 9.6 for compatibility with Yosemite? If not, try that first.
It looks like iPhoto has lost the connection between the thumbnails and the original image files.
This can be caused by a corrupted iPhoto library, or the originals have been deleted or moved.
Try first to rebuild your iPhoto Library:
If you do not have a current backup of the iPhoto library, make a copy of the library, but do not overwrite any previous backup.
Launch iPhoto with the ⌥⌘-key combination (option-command) held down.
Select "rebuild" from the first aid panel. This may take a while for a large library.
Can you now see your photos again?
If not, rebuild the library with iPhoto Library manager as described by Old Toad: Re: iphoto crashed -

I have the same problem. Same laptop, same Windows OS version and BB Link won't install on my PC. It says the application is not compatible.

So if you tap the excel document you don't get a Done button at the top ? If not then try closing the Mail app completely : from the home screen (i.e. not with Mail 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot. -

after downloading itune to my dell computer (with windows vista), the DVD RW drive is disabled. The device status shows "device can not start (code 10)" Any suggestions? Thanks.

My wife purchased an external HD to which she moved my library for backup purposes, but now I only have bits and pieces of the library on my computer, with no rhyme or reason as to what is there. Any ideas as to how I can get the library back on my PC or what may have happened?
might still be on the computer, first thing i would do is use the computers search function to see if one of the missing items is located on the computer, if it is then re-add the folders it points you to back into the library with "add folder to library" under the file menu
don't try to just sync the ipod as it will likely remove everything from the ipod
if the items are from the itunes store you can use the option labeled "transfer purchases" under the file menu to transfer them, if not, you will need to look into third party programs to transfer it, unfortunately itunes can't transfer it if it is not from the itunes store. For these you can search online for "how to transfer music from ipod to computer" and you should get information, I believe there is another discussion that covers that here as well but I cannot find it at the moment. -
Transferring iTunes library to new computer with Windows Vista OS
Using the Apple Support Guide I have tried to move my iTunes library to my new laptop using my iPod as the back up device. When I went to copy my music to my new computer by dragging the iTunes folder out of the Music folder to the desktop, a message occurred saying I must be the Administrator to do this (I am) so it would not complete the task. Instead I have located the iPod in Computer and dragged the iTunes folder into the Music Folder and replaced the iTunes folder in Music with the iTunes folder from Computer (i.e. iPod).
When I open the iTunes folder in Music, all the folders with all my music are there. However when I open the iTunes program there is no music in the library that shows up. If I sync my iPod will all the music then be transferred into the iTunes library?
As we have moved overseas I no longer have the old computer so the backup on my iPod is the only backup of the music we have so I don't want to risk deleting it.

It happened once before, but it fixed itself. I read about it online and people say they brought their iPods to Apple and they said its Windows causing the error. Its not one of their error messages.
1st : Install SP1,SP2 and ALL Microsoft Online Updates. There were known issues in Vista with Apple ipods usb syncing feature in Vista, but in the lifetime of Vista it was fixed several times, so update the OS.
2nd : If you have a x64 version of Vista you MUST use itunes also in 64bit, because it installs drivers into the OS. 32bit drivers wont work properly in 64bit OS, even if the application itself will start.
