When I open more than one tab with ikls.ru web site - safari freeze immediately.

I have a Lion OS and all updates. When I open more than one tab with ikls.ru web site - safari are freezing immediately.

In safe mode the same problem in Safari. And I couldn't enable the guest account. You can see an attached pic. It's in Russian, but I think it's clear. I took a pic in a safe mode, but in normal mode it's the same.

When I have more than one tab open, if I click on a picture to view/enlarge, say eBay, and I click on the items photo to enlarge it, when the window opens to view the photo, Firefox crashes. I also notice while looking at a web page, the pinned tabs to the left of the bar are constantly reloading for some reason, The green circle starts going round and round for no reason even though the tab is not being viewed. Both problems seem to have started after the last software update.

  • Can you open more than one tab?

I have CS 5.5 running on Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. My Bridge is up to date (ver. 4.1.0.54). In the Content window I was wondering if you can open more than one tab?

No you can't, A Bridge window is limited to a max of 3 colomns and you can view only one 1 panel of its kind. You can have multiple windows open and have them set to customized workspaces.
If you want different folders showing in the content window you can create a workspace with a window sized half the screen.  Choose the amount of colomns and the width and height of the by placing the cursor on the borders until you see a move sign. drag until your happy, change the order or place of panels by dragging the tab to a new location (1 blue line appearing means a place in between, 4 blue lines means nesting in panel as a tab. Change te order of tabs with dragging. When you are happy save it as a workspace and open a second window and choose the same custom workspace for it.
However I would choose to use the folder panel and drag and drop the files from content window to the wanted folder in the folder panel. But you can choose the way you want.

  • Why can I no longer open more than one tab in Firefox? Has Firefox been saboutaged by an update by Microsoft?

I have been using Firefox for over 2 years and like the (unreliable) Windows Explorer before it I took for granted the ability to open multiple tabs. 2 days ago my computer downloaded some updates (even though I try to stop it) and after the compulsary restart I cannot open more than one tab in Firefox, even though the browser apparently invites me to. Is this an attempt by Microsoft to saboutage Firefox to build up support for its own product?

Not Microsoft, it is the Ask toolbar. Try uninstalling the Ask toolbar and it should work again. There is a compatibility issue with the Ask toolbar and the current version of Firefox.

  • Cannot open more than one window with Firefox

I've been having this problem for a couple of weeks, now, and I've run out of ways to try and fix this.
One day, after starting my computer up, I opened Firefox. No big deal, everything looks fine, tabs are working, etc. Then, when I went to open a second window, nothing. The first window still works fine, I can open tab upon tab, but it just won't open any more windows.
As much as I'm a fan of the browser tabs, I still prefer to have them spread out over more than one window.
I've read through a ton of different troubleshooting walkthroughs and whatnot, reinstalled three or four times, restored settings, but nothing works.
Well, not entirely, I guess. Here's the part that I can't quite figure out. When I disable every single addon, Firefox works just fine. I've done the checking down the list, trying to single one out, but it's *any* addon. Even something as simple as a dictionary search ([https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/68/]) causes this to happen.
I've checked with an older computer with an older version of Firefox, and it still seems to work fine with addons enabled, so I'm wondering if this is an update issue?
Would reverting back to a previous version of Firefox solve this, and if so, where would I be able to find downloads for a previous version?
So, like I said, I'm at a bit of a loss here. Sort of at a crossroads for trying to figure out what to try next, so I'm hoping someone a bit more knowledgeable can help steer me in a direction.
Edit: I just noticed that the posting includes system information with my question. I should clarify that I'm posting this from an older computer with an older version of Firefox. On the computer that I'm having this issue with, I'm using the newest version of Firefox (3.6.8).

Some old posts indicate the following add-ons have caused the problem of not being able to open a new window in Firefox in the past. If you have any of them you might want to disable or uninstall them to see if that is causing your problem.<br />

You need to update your plug-ins. It is important to keep them updated due to continuing security fixes and improvements in those plug-ins:
    * Adobe Shockwave for Director Netscape plug-in, version 11.5 (you '''<u>may</u>''' need to update)
    * Shockwave Flash 10.0 r32
    * Java Plug-in 1.6.0_11 for Netscape Navigator (DLL Helper)

You are using an out-of-date version of Firefox. Unless you have a reason for using that old version, you might want to consider upgrading.
*The Firefox version series 3.0.x is no longer being supported or updated, even for security issues.
*The last version in the 3.0.x series was 3.0.19 which was released 03/15/2010.
*You are using version 3.0.13 which was released 07/31/2009.
Consider upgrading to the current version, Firefox 3.6.8. Firefox 3.6.9 is scheduled to be released in a few days and the new Firefox 4 will be released later this year or early next year.

  • If I open more than one tab and then sign out of a password protected site in one tab, it will log me back in if both tabs are not closed and I return to the site. How do I change this?

If I open a firefox browser and then I were to open another tab (e-mail for example) which is a password protected website, and then I sign out of my e-mail in the tab and close that tab, I can still access my e-mail without having to re-enter a password by going back to the e-mail website from the brower that is still open.
ex. If I open google and am looking at something so I open another tab to go to hotmail. I then sign out of my hotmail and go back to the google site. If I then go to hotmail from the google site, even though I have signed out it will take me back into my e-mail unless I have closed all tabs upon signing out.
Is there a way to make it so that if you sign out in one tab it completely signs you out?

Make sure that Firefox closes properly to prevent session restore from restoring a crashed session.
    *"Hang at exit": http://kb.mozillazine.org/Firefox_hangs
*"Firefox hangs when you quit it": https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Firefox+hangs
Use "Firefox/File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit") to close Firefox if you are currently doing that by clicking the close X on the title bar.

  • I have always been able to keep multiple tabs open, but now can't open more than one tab?

I have always been able to keep multiple tabs open while working, but by mistake yesterday when I closed firefox I forgot to save all tabs before quitting. Now I can't open multiple tabs....only one.

This issue can be caused by the Ask<i></i>.com toolbar (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions)
Your system details show that toolbar in the user agent as AskTbMTV/3.12.2.16749

  • Why can't i open more than one tab?

safari won't let me use the plus button the keyboard shortcut or the dropdown menu to open a new tab?

Does anything happen? Can you open a new window?

  • With more than one tab open in private browsing, how do I leave private browsing all at once?

Before the latest Firefox update I was able to close a private browsing session by selecting the STOP menu item and checking the appropriate selection in a pop up dialogue box. Now, when I have more than one tab open in private browsing, I can't end the session by selecting STOP. The dialogue box opens and offers a START option instead of a STOP option. The same is true using CONTROL+SHIFT+P. To work around the situation I need to close all but one tab and then stop the session. I want to go back to the way it was before the update and opt out of a private session entirely, regardless of how many windows or table are open, with the former two-step process.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
See "Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile":
There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.
    See:

  • After i downloaded Firefox 7, I cannot open more than one page at a time. I have done everything you suggested about ad-on, etc. Other people are having problems. Can I get reall help with this or should I just reload Firefox 4?

Firefox 7 is a dud. Cannot open more than one tab at a time, will not open additional pages. Nothing you suggested has worked.
Can I take down Firefox 7 and reload Firefox 4?
I need to talk with a live person! I am real disappointed with this.

Sorry there is no telephone support. You could try the IRC if you want a quick response, ( whilst it is [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/ask open] )
Firefox 4 is not supported, but firefox 3.6 is

There is a change to a preference which may help, post back with more details of your problems please.

  • Why am I unable to open multiple tabs in the browser? It all of a sudden refused to let me open more than one at a time.

While on the internet, I tried to open two tabs, but it won't open any more for me. I tried right clicking and opening that way, but it won't let me. I removed Mozilla Firefox from my computer and re-downloaded it, but it still won't let me open more than one tab. It's happened to two of my computers now, and nothing works for either one except opening in safe mode every time.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
    * Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
    See:
    * [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]]
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
    * Use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
    * Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

I have two pc with the same configuration and i have the same problem. Note that i have Adobe CS2 installed + upgrade to Adobe CS 3. If i use Photoshop CS 2 i dont have trouble. Thanks,

  • If more than 12 tabs with youtube, video and sound start corrupted

If i open more than 12 tabs with youtube videos and let then open, on every new tab video and sound corrupted.
    I'm using Firefox 9 x64 nightly and Flash 11 beta2 x64.

    Hi,
What operating system are you on?
Does this only happen with the nightly or can you reproduce this on other browsers as well?
Are videos playing on the other tabs?
To confirm what you are seeing:
12 youtube pages are open by the time you get to 12 or 13 the video and audio are corrupted?
    Thanks

My hard drive has 70.93 GB available, yet when i have more than one internet tab open, i have to force quit google chrome because 'there is no more available application memory'. How can I solve this? I have a 2009 macbook pro running on 10.6.8. I have tried updating to mavericks through the mac app store but after it downloading for a day i got an error message saying there was a problem with the download. The same thing happens if i try to update itunes or the mac app store. After research, i have also tried repairing disk permissions, but every time they do get repaired the 'repair' button still appears, i'm not sure if it's because it was unable to repair the initial problems or if it just keeps detecting new ones.

2 GBs is a minimum in which you can do many things, but not concurrently. Be very careful to not install third-party add-ons, limit the number of applications you choose to enter in Login Items, run as few applications concurrently as you demand.
I would consider adding more RAM to your computer. Your model supports 8 GBs, so I would install that.

Then the (App) tabs from that window are lost unless you can restore an older copy of the sessionstore.js file (Time Machine?) that has that lost window.
