When I open my photos app on my brand new iPhone 4S it's just a black screen. Why is this happening? Can someone please help?
The picture app won't open and when it does it's just a black screen. I have pictures saved buy I can't view them. Please help.
Try to Reset your device.
Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears (ignore the Slide to Power Off option that shows up first).

Is the address on your iTunes account exactly the same (format and spacing etc) as on your credit card bill : http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1646 ? If it is then you could try what it says at the bottom of that page :
If the issue persists, contact your credit card company and verify that they and any company they use to process credit card authorisations have the correct information on file.

Under whose Apple ID were the apps that you are referring to purchased? If they are displaying her Apple ID and asking for her password when you are trying to update them, then that means they were purchased under her ID. They will continue to do that unless you delete them and purchase them again under your own Apple ID.

That doesn't help.
There's a clear distinction between temporary files, and files downloaded to the users' download folder.
Or at least, there should be.
I'm inclined to call this a bug, since the user (being me) didn't ask for the download.
Downloading upon opening a site from the address bar is a different action than downloading from within a site (e.g. clicking a url shortcut or a button to download from an indirection). -

I have no photos to see when I open my "Photos" app. I have told my device in settings to let me see all my photos in the cloud but there are none. That will depend on how you want to get your photos to your iPad.
If you want to be able to stream photos to your iPhone using My Photo Stream, or to sync photos to your iPhone using iTunes Photo Sync, disable iCloud Photo Library (Beta) again in the Photos&Camera settings on the iPhone. Then you can again upload photos to the iPhone.
But if you want to use the iCloud Photo Library (Beta), then use the web interface at https://www.icloud.com/#photos to upload photos from your Mac to the iCloud Photo Library. There is an upload button in the toolbar: -

I imported all my pics to Iphoto and I can't open/edit them now. When I double click on them, I only get an exclamation mark. Please help me I don't have copies. I tried burning them to a cd but it didn't work. Can someone please help me?
The ! turns up when iPhoto loses the connection between the thumbnail in the iPhoto Window and the file it represents.
What version of iPhoto? Assuming 09 or later...
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

I have iPad 4th Generation with iOS 6.1.3 Since my iBooks was updated to version 3.1.1 I cannot open pdf file attachment in my email. When I tap of the attachment, the iBooks icon no longer show itself. Can someone please help?

Reset the device did not help me but it does triggers me to attempt to resend the PDF file attachment on email--and it works the 2nd time. My problem is now solved.
The Adobe Reader is very helpful--it allows me to scroll through the document easily, unlike iBooks, where I cannot scroll straight up or down. -

This is a so frustrating. I had an iPadfor over a year now and never had any problems. Changed the computer this months.
Downloaded new iTunes and IOS5 for iPad. It removed everyting from my iPad (photos, music and all apps). I was able to get muisic and phtos back on, however purchased iPad apps are missing in actions. Can someone please help? Thank you.I have the same problem, since the update two days ago, appears when you always unlock the Apple logo and a loading bar (see file below). Have been three times all over itunes set to the factory settings and reload. Still the same. Now also in use, always on the screen with the Apple logo. Please help me, what's up?

I guess I will wrap this up. I have abandoned iPhoto and viewing my Photo Streams using it and moved to Adobe products (Bridge + PS). So that's that.

If you have a pc, when you plug your iPad in you should see the windows pop up window offering to backup the photos. Do that and it will save all your photos and videos to your computer where you can then sync them back to your new one.
If the pop up doesn't come up, double click on my computer and navigate your way to the iPad. Double cick on it an d navigate to the DCIM folder. Drag your photos and videos to your pc, then sync them back onto your iPad. -
I need to download all of my photos from my iPhone 4S and my iPad 2 to my MacBook Air because there is no more storage space available. I want to make sure all my photos are not lost and that they do not return to the original devices because of the cloud. Can someone please help ?
Connect your devices to the computer with the USB cable (one device at a time) and import the photos via iPhoto or Image Capture.
If you have not changed any default settings on your computer, iPhoto will automatically launch when you plug in the device. Then follow the import prompts. -

You do realise that wiping the disk means that everything on the disk is erased. Everything. Photos, music, emails, ...
So the first piece of advice is to make sure you have a back up of everything.
You need the OS disk to reintsall the operating system. You will use that disk first to erase the drive, then to reinstall the OS.

Exporting grouped shapes as an image
I have grouped several shapes and text in a single graphic and would like to export into Pages as an image (jpg, gif, whatever). Is this possible? The only way I can figure is to export the entire slide but that is not really the same.
