Thank you for the question. You will need to enable the menu bar in iTunes 11 so you can access the store menu which will allow you to authorize the computer. Here are the steps on how to process this.

When I plug my iPhone into my iMac via USB I can choose to "back up to this computer". On another sync to my iMac, can I choose to " back up to the iCloud"? This way I could restore all my info and settings from either source. Is this possible?
On the phone, under Settings > iCloud you can select to turn iCloud ON or OFF.
One iTunes, it senses that toggle and if you had selected iCloud it will say backup to iCloud. Here you can change the toggle to backup to computer and click "Apply" prior to syncing.
I do both for good measure. I backup to computer and then after i disengage the device from the computer, I set the iCloud toggle back to ON and then perform the iCloud backup over wifi.
I found that using iTunes and saying to backup to iCloud isn't always successful in the "last backed up" time and thus I do it separately. -
I have a strange problem. When I put my iphone 4S into my pocket (pants or coat) and move it around, the phone makes a beep noise/tone. I can't figure out what is causing the noise. It doesn't sound like any of my regular applications. Maybe it is the lock noise but I can't tell for sure. More movement makes more beeps. Even walking with my phone in my pocket creates beeps. The IOS is 7.0.4 (11B554a). Anyone else have this crazy problem?

My suggestions, when Restoring the iPod.
Disconnect your PC from Internet. (just to make sure no nasties creep into your system while you syncing.
Stop the Antivirus program
Connect your iPod to the PC, using a high speed USB 2.0 port at the back of your PC.
Disconnect all other USB devices, except the mouse and keyboard.
Stop all other programs except iTunes.

I just wanted to add what Apple Support walked me through. Worked perfectly. Similar to some of the posts here. This assumes you have finished the setup of the Airport using DHCP to obtain the IP automatically from Comcast and it says the IP is invalid.
Power off\on Sequence
1, Power off Comcast Modem. Remove Battery back up, if it has one. Disconnect the coax cable.
2. Power off Airport Extreme
3. Let both sit for 3 minutes.
4. Reconnect coax cable to Comcast modem and replace battery and power up.
5. Wait a minute or two to make sure the Comcast modem is completely up and then Power on the Airport Extreme.
(When AP asks for DNS, Type in both addresses below)

Freyfisher: I had the same problem whenn I switched to the Airport Extreme yesterday. Here is what I did:
1: uplugged modem for 30 sec. and detached all ethernet cables. Plugged back in and reattached airport extreme cable after all lights were solid on the modem. Then, I went into Airport Utility and selected, "Base Station"> "restore default settings". Then" Base Station"> Restart. Then go through setup assistant again. If no luck, try setting IPv4 to 10.0.1.2, subnet to 255.255.255.0, router to 10.0.1.1. IPv6 set to OFF if having trouble. DNS adresses: 75.75.75.75, 75.75.76.76, search domain hsd1.ST.comcast.net where "ST" is your two-letter State abbrev. Hope this helps someone.... -

When I open Safari, it just hangs up. I cant get to the menu to reset and i cannot find the apple.safari.plist folder in the preferences folder. Anyone have any suggestion?
Alright, I figured it out. I found the Preferences.plist in the ~/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration folder. I deleted it and restarted my macbook. Now Safari works!

I have imported all photos and videos from my iPhone 5S into Aperture ver.3.4.5 and now cannot find them. I thought I could open a panel showing all imports and merely list them chronologically, but I don't see how to do this. There are over 1800 photos and about 100 videos, any help to locate where they've gone would be appreciated.
Try to search with a Smart Album for photos and videos taken with an iPhone:
File > New > Smart Album:
Add an EXIF rule fro the "Add Rule" drop down menu: EXIF
and set it to "Camera Model includes iPhone".
Set the scope of the search to "Library"
If there are any iPhone images or videos in your library at all, this search should find them. Then ctrl-click any of the items and select "Show in Project" from the contextual menu.
Generally, Aperture should be showing your last import in the "Last Import" smart album in the "recent" section". And the "projects" view can be sorted by date, so you should see your recent imports.
You may want to check all search fields, if searches are active. -
After I have been talking on my iPhone 6 for awhile and then want to go to speaker phone, I cannot find the speaker icon. Any help?
Here's the situation. I received a text while I was talking on the phone. Went right to text, then could not get back to the screen. After trial and error, I discovered a little green message at the top of the phone that said "Touch to return to call". Problem solved.

The problem is with facebook, go to settings / facebook / your user name and delete your account, the do a hard reset (home+power for some seconds).
dont need to delete the facebook app! just delete your integrate account from settings

I had an old library on an old mac. I then started a new one on my new Mac and was able to easily switch between the two..
I opened iphoto today and I cannot find my old library which I'd added new photos too.
Hence all photos from the last year have disappeared...
Either this OR:
Half of my new photos have disappeared from my new library AND my old library has disappeared.
I've tried to find the library using a couple of ideas on this forum but i still can't find them....What happens when you try to export from the library? Where are you trying to export to? Are both libraries located in the same Place? If not where are they located. If on an external HD how is that HD formatted?
How much free space do you have on your HD(s)? -
I connect my iphone 4 to the itune. It asked me to download a new update for my phone. After I downloaded the update, the itune no longer able to detect my iphone through the USB. My phone is un-responsive showing the plug into the itune icon only on the screen. Please help.

I cannot delete a repeated appointment in my calendar. I deleted the main and accidentally hit save future dates. I tried to delete each future date but there was no edit function. I then clicked the calendar and i could change it but they all display read only cannot delete.
Were the photos taken by your new iPhone? If so, did you not import them off your phone to your computer (as you would any other digital camera) before the restore? If not, restoring wiped the data off the phone and your pictures are gone.

IPhone 4S doesen't connect to wi-fi unless it's in the same room. Please Help!!!
I have an iPhone 4S and i have recently upgraded to iOS 6.1.2 and I am experiencing problems with connecting to my home wi-fi. The iphone detects the wi-fi network (2 bars) from my room but when i click on it it says "unable to connect". The iphone only connects when i am in the same room as the wi-fi router. I thought it may be a signal strength issue, but my iPad and iPhone 4 both connect smoothly from my room and all other rooms and have no issues at all (Both running iOS 6.1.2).
I am having the same issues plus some. I have the S4 and after researching it here on Apple Support am convinced it was due to these last updates. So many comments with the same issues! I stopped by Sprint and asked how I could revert back or uninstall the updates. They informed me that wasn't possible and unless I was willing to shell out the cash to upgrade I was stuck with it. If this doesn't get resolved I will no longer be an Apple user of any sort. It's just not right!
