When I press calendar icon it opens and then closes?
When I open the calendar, or try too, it closes and goes back to home screen?
Try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.

Upgraded ipad2 to iOS5 + icloud - my week calendar when accessed pops open and then closes - - HELP
I updated my iPad2 to iOS 5 and iCloud. Now, when I access my Week Calendar App - it opens, and then immediately closes. Can this be corrected, or do I need to purchase/download another calendar?
Have you tried the 3 "I solve most of hte problems" things?
- Reboot the iDevice
- Force quit the app (press sleep/wake button until screen to shut down, then press the home until the app quit)
- Reset the iDevice (press sleep/wake + home buttons simultanously until the device reboots) -
When I have the downloads window open and I close the browser window, the next time I reopen the browser while the downloads are still going, it returns me to the last page I was on. All previous versions of Firefox would return me to my homepage which I would prefer. Please let me know if this is possible.
When you re-open Firefox and choose Restore Session, by default it picks up your most-recently-open window, and the other windows should then show up in Recently Closed Windows.
The Firefox add-on Session Manager lets you manage how many closed windows and closed tabs are saved, in case it's not enough. -
Downloaded Apps open and then close immediately
The downloaded apps, not the apps that came with the phone, close immediately after i open them. i have reseted it multiple times and it doesnt work. HELP!!

I too have just experienced this, I suspect because I hooked my iphone up to a friends laptop when visiting on holiday (in Canada) and thought that rather than opening a new topic, I'd add on the end of this one...
I have tried all suggestions found on Google (a restore, de-authorising my laptop and re-authorising with the itunes store, not syncing apps, downloading a new app (on the iphone and on my laptop) and then re-syncing and none of this has worked.
Interestingly, if I download a brand new app via my laptop and sync it to my iphone, it works but all of my old apps restored from the backup open and then close within 2 seconds.
Can anyone help?

Try this:
1. Close all apps in the Task Bar. Double-click the Home button and hold apps down for a second or two. Tap the minus sign to close app.
2. Hold the Sleep and Home button down until you see the Apple Logo. -
I just got a new IPAD and transferred everything through the cloud from my old IPAD 2. The new one says "this IPAD is currently being restored. It has been that way for over two hours. Also, I Books opens and then closes right away with no content. Does it take this long, or is there an issue?
I also tried manually underlining a few things on the new iPad and when highlighting a paragraph, it would skip a few lines and the line would go through a few as well. Looks like a major iBooks glitch needs to be addressed here.

Spry Accordion - Tabs open and then close after page loads
I am using a Spry Accordion menu driven from a database.
The menu opens up during the page load and then closes.
I'm using SpryAccordion.js 1.6.1
And to open a preset tab, I'm using:

Thanks, RonWell to both thanks. Actually I wasn't disappointed as I had a two part question...
I tested the 1.6 JS and remembered that I had to modify the 1.4 so that tabs actually would link. So I reverted back to 1.4.
So, going to 1.6 fixed the open panel on load but "unfixed" the panel tab from linking.....
So changing this in the 1.6 js fixed the link issue as well:

I've just updated OS to 10.10.1 and Finder keeps trying to open and then closes every 2 seconds with the message Finder is not Available. If Safari is opened with the window full screen it immediately closes and will only work with window smaller than maximum. Driving me mad! Any help please!!

Acrobat will not work, opens and then closes
I can not get Acrobat to stay open, I purchased the download it seemed to download fine but opens and then closes.
Did you install with anti-virus deactivated? Have you activated Acrobat? You may have to uninstall, run http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html, remove the Acrobat folder, reboot, and reinstall.
Another possibility is to go to the control panel>Programs & Features and do a repair. -

I upgraded to firefox 4 and that started since then

AcroRd32 Opens and Then Closes when Invoked from VB in PowerPoint
Hi,
I am trying to open a pdf file embedded in a PowerPoint presentation while in presentation mode.
Theoretically, I should be able to click on the embedded object and have it open in its proper application.
When I try to open a pdf file, AcroRd32 opens, briefly displays the document, and then closes immediately.
This happens in both versions Acrobat Reader 9 and X. The problem didn't exist when using Office 2003, but now exists in Office 2007.
I can open the document when in editing mode - just not in presentation mode.
I have built an Add-In for PowerPoint.
My VB code for opening the document is:

I have to use V3.5.10 despite wanting to run 3.6 (just updated to 3.6.6 too). However when I run 3.6 I hear thru my sounds set up a process open briefly and then close every 30 seconds or so - it's very regular and insistent and I'd like to know what it is and why. It's too brief to spot in Task manager processes listing. This did happen once under 3.5 I seem to recall but was cured when it upgraded.
