Connect your phone to computer, and sync like this. Check the boxes for the playlists, artists, albums you want to sync. Then click Apply. If you have enough space on your phone, you can choose Entire music library.

We are suffering very similar issues when communicating from my iphone to a friend who has both iphone and iPad enabled.
As long as I reply to an existing text chain, then it is visible on the target iphone. If I SMS the phone number, it gets routed to the IPAD!! And NO, I should not have to disable imessage when I want to send an SMS!! -

YEA! My jurryrig worked! To all with this problem:
You CAN have podcasts in a regular playlist IF you convert them to a standard MP3 first. So, yes, a lot of manual labor
The good news: if, like me, it is a track that you listen to frequently (in my case meditations for sleep and relaxation) then the time is worth it. I will mess with automator later to see if there is anyway to script this! Then, less work for me and more for my mac.
Here are the steps:
Select the file from your Podcast folder.
Change all data you need -- "artist," "album" etc...
Make a copy of the cover art for this file by dragging it to the desktop.
Select the Advanced -> Convert ID3 Tags menu item.
Check ID3 tag version, and select "v1.0" from the drop-down menu.
Drag the file to the desktop (this will make a copy of the MP3 on the desktop)
Delete the file from the iTunes list.
Drag the copy of the file you have on the Desktop back into iTunes.
Search for the file in the Library, and add the cover art again to the file.
Now the file is out of the Podcasts folder and works like a regular MP3 file inside iTunes. You can re-add it back to playlists! -

My guess is that when you see the router on your phone, you press the blue arrow on the right - thats why you see all the IP stuff. Don't press the blue arrow. Press further to the left. You should be prompted for a password then.

Use the time, till Photos will be released, to consolidate your photo library. Get all places and faces tagged, all keywords, titles, and ratings ready, duplicates removed, events and albums well structured, and when Photos will be released, you can simply let it migrate the iPhoto or Aperture library to iCloud Photo Library. My MacBook Air has OSX Version 10.9 and suddenly I can no longer access iPhoto. THe message says, 'You can't use this version of the applicaitonn iPhot with this version of OS X. You have iphoto 9.3.2." When I try to update iPhoto, I get a message saying I signed in with a different apple ID and password. This all happened about the same time I got a new iphone. The iPhoto icon has a circle with a line through it.

Sorry, but audiobooks cannot be downloaded more than once without charge, so if you don't have a viable backup, you may be out of luck. You can, however, contact the iTunes Store, explain the situation, and see if they can make an exception for you.

My Aperture APP stopped installing. How do I get it to complete the installation?

I found the Aperture APP icon in the appliction folder. When I click on it, an icon opens on the bar at the bottom of the screen and the application opens and is workable. However, when I finish working with my photo editing, and close the application, the bar icon desapears and I need to to back to the application folder to click the icon there to open the application again.
I know you suggested I delete the app from the folder, reboot, and reinstall. But I'm embarassed to say that I don't know how to proceed with the deletion.
Can you help?

The reason I reinstalled Thunderbird was, because I read somewhere in the community forums that my problem might be solved. The original problem was computer related, I accidentally erased all network protocols on my wife's Japanese PC and we had no internet connection for sometime. When I finally unravelled the connection dilemma and got things working the wife was in shock because her inbox was empty. I reassured her that the emails resided outside the programme. Hence the try at reinstalling Thunderbird. Well, I didn't get the result I was hoping for. The reinstall only fetched the messages that were waiting on the server. Now I'm not sure of what exactly the problem is. But I'm confident it is solvable but can I do it? Am I able?

GregoryAccording to your Question Description, you used POP3 mail in Thunderbird. If you didn't remove the OLD Thunderbird Profile, you can get the data.

Please let me know how can i view the backed up content on iClouds like the camera roll pics, since i have the pics there on iCloud and i want to save on the space on my iPad i want to delete it from my iPad if i can see it over iCloud.Even though iCloud can back up some content it is intended more to keep multiple iOS devices synced up rather than being a place to back up your content. The Camera Roll is included in the iPad's Backup however there is no way to access the back up's content without Restoring the iPad. If you wipe the photos from the iPad's Photo Roll the new back up file created will also have them removed.
Photo Stream, also a part of iCloud, is also intended to make your latest photos accessible on your other iOS devices such as iPhones, Apple TVs and Mac computers. It will only hold 1000 of the latest photos and is supposed to delete them after 30 days. This can give you the opportunity to view photos for awhile, back the photos up in a more conventional manner on your computer and share them with others. It is not a back up and is more of a temparary place to view them. Photos should be transferred to a computer which also has a good back up routine to external sources.
Even though iCloud can hold your iPad Backup file, the back up file does not contain most media files. The iOS backup file is more for quickly getting your devics settings restored if you have an issue with it or want to set up a new device. Your media files must also live else where in a more permanent back up such as on a computer and an external USB drive. For most actions, iCloud pretty much mirrors your iOS devices, delete something from one device it is gone from them all including iCloud.
If you want to remove photos then store and view them from an online source use services such as DropBox or other online photo services such as Flickr. -

Its a Apple refurbished macboook pro, just got it today.If iDVD was not preinstalled on your Mac you'll have to obtain it by purchasing a copy of the iLife 09 disk from a 3rd party retailier like Amazon.com: ilife 09: Software or eBay.com. Why, because iDVD (and iWeb) was discontinued by Apple over a year ago.
Why iLife 09 instead of 11?
If you have to purchase an iLife disc in order to obtain the iDVD application remember that the iLife 11 disc only provides themes from iDVD 5-7. The Software Update no longer installs the earlier themes when starting from the iLIfe 11 disk nor do any of the iDVD 7 updaters available from the Apple Downloads website contain them.
Currently the only sure fire way to get all themes is to start with the iLife 09 disc:

You then can upgrade from iDVD 7.0.3 to iDVD 7.1.2 via the updaters at the Apple Downloads webpage.
Export the slideshow out of iPhoto as a QT movie file via the Export button in the lower toolbar. Select Size = Medium or Large.
Open iDVD, select a theme and drag the exported QT movie file into the open iDVD window being careful to avoid any drop zones.
Follow this workflow to help assure the best qualty video DVD:
Once you have the project as you want it save it as a disk image via the File ➙ Save as Disk Image menu option. This will separate the encoding process from the burn process.
To check the encoding mount the disk image, launch DVD Player and play it. If it plays OK with DVD Player the encoding is good.
Then burn to disk with Disk Utility or Toast at the slowest speed available (2x-4x) to assure the best burn quality. Always use top quality media: Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are the most recommended in these forums.
