Slide your finger up from the bottom of the screen to reveal the Controls panel. One button controls orientation lock to prevent the screen rotating as you rotate the phone. You can toggle that control on and off as you need. Slide the panel back down when you are finished with it.

So far you have been more destructive than helpful, but again this could be ignorance at best.

Hi Def video is jumpy and will not play back smoothly in FCPX

I have the latest version of Final Cut Pro X only an older, but fully compatible IMac, and have a new Panasonic AG-Hmc 40P video camera. I have shot video on my Gro Prop Hero 2 and the playback of the unedited video is perfect, but as I scroll through the unedited footage shoot by the Panasonic, the video is jumpy and will not play back smoothly. The video plays perfectly on the the camera in play back mode, but in FCPX it is junk.
Do I have an incorrect setting that is doing this? I adjusted the palynack in preference but that made no difference. I need help?

There's a hidden feature in Mac OS X Lion that you can use to convert your video footage to Apple ProRes with very little effort and to the right specifications...
Bring your video footage into your desktop or hard drive and then select all of them, and then right-right click on one of them to bring up the options menu... select ENCODE SELECTED VIDEO FILES. Mac OS X will take care of the rest for you automatically.
If this option doesn't show up, make sure to install those codecs I recommendad earlier...

Iphone4 crashing my PC when I take a photo or video

Hi, Does anyone else have this problem, my brand new iphone4 syncs to my pc, but if I take a photo or video it crashes the PC straight away! Im using windows XP. I tried to access the phone through the control panel to disable camera device as suggested on the apple site, but it does not recognise the phone. HELP!

Hi thanks, spoke to lovely person at apple & we worked out it was a conflict with an old logitec web cam. After I removed the old drivers it worked fine!!
Only problem now, the phone won't load as a hard drive for me to take photos off it...

I've burnt a slideshow of my photos on my Apple Mac to a DVD+REW disc but it will not play on my DVD player or on a combined DVD/TV. However it will play on my wife's Acer laptop. I then erased the disc & burned another slideshow from my ancient Dell computer onto the same disc &it played just fine on everything. So it seems the problem ids somewhere in the Apple Mac process. Any ideas?

Do these videos import into 13?
If so, do you see a video and audio component on the Expert workspace Timeline tracks?

I have tried to open files by opening itunes or quicktime or media player. I have been able to play the videos broefly but then they typically freeze.

Uninstall Quicktime, Then reinstall it.

Video copied from iphone 4 will not play

When I use the windows photo and video transfer to copy a video from my iphone 4 I get a 1mb file and an error saying the file cannot be played, no matter which media player I try to use.
I am unable to copy the file directly from the folder inside the phone. I simply get a 256kb file that does nothing.
I'm using Windows 7 pro 64 bit and an iPhone 4 with all the updates.
The videos I record play fine on the phone and I can email the video to myself and that plays fine on my computer however the quality is massively reduced using that method.
Any reason why the transfer doesn't work and why I can't simply copy right off the phone to my machine? I've rebooted both devices and it still does not work.

At least I'm not the only one with the issue. I was looking it up so see if others had the same problem and found a bunch of posts about it. I'm assuming it's not the phone then, it's the software. Should I bring it to the Apple Store? Replacing the phone seems stupid, because the phone isn't really the problem. It's the software! Maybe the iOS 5.0.2 will fix it??? I don't really want to wait though, it's a pain. If a lot of people have this issue it should get Apple's attention. They need to do something to fix it, ASAP!

The iTunes Store will direct you to the same article. As Hackintosh said, first delete the track from iTunes, allowing it to move the track file to the trash. Then in iTunes on your Mac, sign into your iTunes Store account and go here:
In the window you'll be taken to, make sure that the Music tab and "not on this computer" are selected, then locate the defective track in the list and click this button next to the track name:

I am having problems playing back videos on my iPad or iPhone from my Go Pro Hero 3 using the Go Pro app. Can anyone help with this please?

First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
If that doesn't help try adding a new video to your Camera Roll. Perhaps the update process caused the problem. If a new video plays correctly then reload your older videos from your backup.
Perhaps some other users can provide more assistance.

I don't believe that is possible. It may be best to have those videos stored in iTunes if you wish to home-share/airplay them.

Connect your iPod to the computer (and iTunes) and look on the Device/Music pane, as below:
You need to have Sync Music ticked, as shown.
If you have Entire Music Library checked, then all your music should go back onto yuor iPod.
If you have chosen Selected playlists, artists, albums and genres, you will see additional options for choosing which of those choices you want.
If you make any changes here, you may need to click on the Sync, or Apply, button to make the changes happen.
