When I try to bring up my firefox browser I get a Javascript appl error (exc in ev handl: type error: this.oroot.enable is not a function) this small box pops up with that javascript error statement and firefox will not start until I hit the continue
firefox version 8, java version 6 update 29. I have already reloaded java software and reinstalled still have the same problem
That issue can be caused by the McAfee Site Advisor extension

I have an ipad 3rd gen with ios 5.1.1 and I can not update it to ios 7. It will take 13hours and when I try it stalls out halfway through and says software update failed. I have tried everything. Any help?
it actually needs more space than that. The file size is your 65 mb is probably the ota incremental file size. The full package is 700 mg, and the system needs 3 gig of free space to unpack and install.

Your computer needs a special OS X version that it hasn't been launched. Wait until Apple releases it

Cannot visit a website that I used to and it will not receive the exception.
I recently updated Firefox and now I can't access a website that I need to and that I used to before the update. It comes up with the connection is untrusted. I have received this before, no big deal. However, when I click the understand the risks and then add exception, it doesn't do anything. The other times I can confirm but not now.

Have you tried a RESET ??
Hold down the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button until you see the Apple logo.
It will reset and restart itself in a few minutes.

Why will it not let me put apps on same
Some developers allow you to download previous compatible versions of their apps, I'm not sure if Facebook and/or Netflix. As they are free apps try downloading the current version of them on your computer's iTunes so that the apps are in your purchase history. Then on your iPad go to the Purchased tab in the App Store app and see if you can download an older compatible version of them.
If you want paid-for apps then try contacting the developer first and see if they allow previous versions of their apps to be downloaded, and therefore whether the above will work for them. -

I am trying to use and education program that needs Java applets and it will not run on Safari. IE will not install from the web. How do I get a browser that will work to install so I can use this program when I travel.
Try using FireFox. IE will only run on a Mac if you run Windows on the Mac.
Windows on Intel Macs
There are presently several alternatives for running Windows on Intel Macs.
Install the Apple Boot Camp software. Purchase Windows 7 or Windows 8. Follow instructions in the Boot Camp documentation on installation of Boot Camp, creating Driver CD, and installing Windows. Boot Camp enables you to boot the computer into OS X or Windows.
Parallels Desktop for Mac and Windows XP, Vista Business, Vista Ultimate, or Windows 7. Parallels is software virtualization that enables running Windows concurrently with OS X.
VM Fusion and Windows XP, Vista Business, Vista Ultimate, or Windows 7. VM Fusion is software virtualization that enables running Windows concurrently with OS X.
CrossOver which enables running many Windows applications without having to install Windows. The Windows applications can run concurrently with OS X.
VirtualBox is a new Open Source freeware virtual machine such as VM Fusion and Parallels that was developed by Solaris. It is not as fully developed for the Mac as Parallels and VM Fusion.
Note that Parallels and VM Fusion can also run other operating systems such as Linux, Unix, OS/2, Solaris, etc. There are performance differences between dual-boot systems and virtualization. The latter tend to be a little slower (not much) and do not provide the video performance of the dual-boot system. See MacTech.com's Virtualization Benchmarking for comparisons of Boot Camp, Parallels, and VM Fusion. A more recent comparison of Parallels, VM Fusion, and Virtual Box is found at Virtualization Benchmarks- Parallels 10 vs. Fusion 7 vs. VirtualBox. Boot Camp is only available with Leopard and later. Return the MBP for one that works before your 14 days are up and/or call AppleCare ASAP!!!

when installing adobe reader on my mac it states that the install is complete, but on same screen its sets thaw an internal server error has occurred and reader will not work

I have exactly the same problem on one of my Macs (MBP 15 Mid-2010 / OS X Yosemite): Both reader and Acrobat Pro download without a hitch. Both also install with no problem.
But once you click the program to open, they both return "an internal error occurred".
I tried downloading three separate copies, and still get the same error message when I install and launch. I've also uninstalled the previous installations via CleanMyMac2 to make sure it's no longer in the SSD. Same results.
Am using a new SSD as internal boot drive, with fresh / clean installation of OS X and Apps (previous internal HDD crashed) -- And am seeing errors not only with Acrobat, but also with LR5 which always comes up with a "An error occurred when attempting to change modules" -- inspite or uninstall, download and reinstall. Not sure if it's a registry issue? (Not even sure if that's the case with OS X).
Do I need to reformat the whole SSD? I hope not!
