Apologies for the slightly pedantic answer, but in application terms, "closed" and "quit" are two different things. An application such as Safari can have several windows open, and each of them can be closed using the red button in the corner.
However, even after all windows are closed, the application is still running until you specifically quit it. You can tell it's still running by the small light under its icon in the Dock. If you hold your cursor down on the icon for a few seconds, you should see a pop up menu with the "Quit" option - click that to quit it. Or, click the icon once (this may launch a new window), then either go to the Safari menu and click Quit, or click cmd-Q, to completely quit the app.

Ziatron is correct that Flash does not work on an iPad, but it does work on a Mac. See Adobe Flash Player 11.2.202.160.

It's referring to the MAC password that you have setup.
A software prompts for a password only when there are restrictions set on the user account for unauthorised access to system files and folders.

When i try to download latest flash player i am redirected to adobe home page.

I am in a circle. I got message to update flash, yet when I click "download" i am automaticlly redirected back to adobe home page. I removed flash player and tried to downoad again but still get into this merry-go-round of home page-download page (Adobe.ca)

Hi, that message is due to the Download Manager(DLM). It's best not to use it. Use the link the poster provided and SAVE it to your Desktop. Then close all browser windows, disable any instant messenger services from your system tray. It may be better to download the Uninstaller and SAVE it to your Desktop first. Then run it, reboot and then run the Installer and reboot.
If you have any realtime Anti-Virus running, you may want to disable it until you are finished.

Use the EXE Installer for Windows and Internet Explorer.

I would recommend utilizing the Adobe Support Advisor - http://www.adobe.com/support/loganalyzer/ to automatically review your installation log and attempt to locate a solution. The summary you posted is not always complete so a look at the actual log itself would be beneficial.

I get "failed to initialize" when I try to download Adobe Flash

I un- installed my previous version because I was having trouble loading farmville. I used the adobe uninstaller not remove programs. I can't reinstall the latest version in either Firefox or explorer. I have windows XP. I downloaded the Adobe support and it found nothing wrong. Help please.

Issue Downloading Adobe Flash Player

Web browser and version - Safari Version 7.1
I do not have any version of the Adobe Flash Player currently installed on my computer.
When I try to download the flash player, the file goes to my downloads. When I click on the download, it will only open the file using MatLab. What can I do to fix this issue so the file will go to its downloader?

Because it's true.
Flash is only one of the many video formats available online. The iPod touch supports many open video formats (they are listed on the specifications page).
Flash is a proprietary format owned by Adobe - it is not an open standard.
You can view videos, films, music videos etc. from the iTunes Store, and also any web-site that uses the standard MP4 format. There are also 1000's of videos in the YouTube application. You can also convert your own videos and view them on the iPod touch.
