iCloud is not local storage and has nothing to do with your situation.

Well, at least it's good that there are no hardware issues - that's a relief and one problem area that you can check off.
OK, so let's summarize so I can get a clear picture of what's going on. If you try to download something from your web browser, what happens? What if you try to download a small utility such as "EasyFind" from the App Store? Or is the problem specifically linked to downloading updates?
I'm just trying to get a feel for if anything really means anything?
Usually what you download from, say, a website, goes into your Downloads folder. It's the default folder for things like that. Apps from the App Store are downloaded to your Applications folder. And software updates are generally, I believe, held in a temporary folder so that they can be installed (in many cases) when you're asked to restart.
It could be something as simple as repairing permissions on your start-up disk. You're running Snow Leopard, right? (That's what your profile says.) Try opening Disk Utility from your Utilities folder, selecting your boot disk and try verifying permissions. If you come up with some errors, try repairing permissions. After that, go ahead and verify your boot disk - you won't be able to repair it at this point, but at least you can see if you have any errors.
Let me know about the anything and get back to me after you've verified and repaired permissions and verified your boot drive.

Are you trying to call yourself to test FaceTime? If so, you must have a second E-Mail address registered with your Apple ID. In other words, there must be a different E-Mail address on each unit.

As I was saying, I have an iPod Touch which I bought this Summer on August, and until recently it never gave me a problem.
I recently downloaded a "free" app (which means, it's partly free, so if I want it completely I should buy one of the "extensions" it has).
Well, today I was trying to buy an "extension" for an app. I did everything as per usual, but for some reason, there appears to be a message that I can't buy it with visa, when I've already bought other apps and things online with the same card, without a problem. Which should cross the option that the problem resides in the card (I also contacted with the bank and everything was as per usual with the card).
Also, a friend of mine has this same app and for this person everything went smoothly without a problem.
Does anyone of you know what is the problem or what should I do?The message says: "The payment method has been denied, try another method"
I'm living in the same country and city since I was born, so I don't think the location is the problem.
And yes, I paid with the card a meal in Burguer King today. And nothing more. -

I created an Apple ID on my iPhone, but I can not download any application because a message appears saying that iTunes store can not login. The strange thing is that my Apple ID works perfectly when I try to access my icloud browser on my iMac and even I join this forum. I login with my ID system icloud without problems! Why can not I download applications? What relationship has between iTunes store and iCloud?
You cannot download the same Apps that you have on your iPhone. They are two seperate stores.
The store you have on your iPhone is the same for any iDevice (iPad, iPhone and iPod)
The store on your MacBook is only for Macs. -

I recieved an ipod 5 for a early christmas present a day ago, I already owned an ipod 4 so i just used my info from that ipod as a back up for my 5g. but now when i try to download music from itunes it says i must use my security questions (which i made over a year ago) I can't remember the answers and i can't get on the email that it sends the reset info to. i don't know what to do and its really frustrating. please help ASAP!
You need to contact Apple to get the questions reset. Click here, phone them, and ask for the Account Security team, or fill out and submit this form.
Whichever method you use, you probably won't get a response until the 26th. If you absolutely must make a purchase before then, create a new Apple ID; you won't be able to transfer previous purchases or iTunes Store credit to it.
