Why does a movie say it takes 3 hours and 15 min to rent on Apple TV? Is this normal? If not, please inform me on the error.

On your mac/Win PC can you log into the iTunes Store with your Apple ID and password??

When I try to update to iOS5, iTunes gets stuck on "Backing Up" its been there for hours and it barely moves. It finished backing up one then it went to a "Extracting Software" on the iTunes status bar up top and then it gave me an error saying something along the lines of "There was an error with the server" and back to square 1. You may have lost your connection to the apple server or connection with your itunes library.
1) You will need to shutdown Itunes and disconnect your iphone from the USB cable.
2) Reconnect your Iphone to the usb cable, wait for the device to be recognised and or drivers to be installed.
3) once all ok, your itunes should automatically open up/connect (if you have this setting set on), otherwise double click your itunes icon on your desktop.
4) once all sychronised and connected. go to Summary tab and UPDATE your iphone again.
Hope this works for you, as this happend to me and tried the above steps and wala!!! all good.
If the above still fails, restart your pc/apple and turn off/on your modem and then try again.
this normally happens if your connection from your device to the itunes hangs or looses its connection, or have a bad connection to the internet / apple server.
in windows the RPC Locator is normally the cause of this, in apple i have no idea (as im not an apply user).

Why when I try to re download my music it says this device is already associated with another device and I have so many days to re download my music back? How do I get around this and get my music back?
It is telling you that the device has been associated with another Apple ID. Once an Apple ID has been associated with a device, there is a 90-day waiting period before another Apple ID can be associated with that device. Here is a Support Article that explains the 90-day waiting period:

How can I make Apple TV recognize my password? Everytime I rent a movie I´m asked for my password and it tells me my password cannot be found, that I must go to Apple page to reset or change it. This happens when I´m watching TV and the lights go out. What can I do?
iTunes has many stores, in different regions. If you are trying to rent from a different location that would explain the error.

I'm not sure if you are referring to how long it's taking or why it varies.
The first thing to check would be your internet download speed, you can do this at www.speedtest.net.
1080p HD movies require a recommended speed of 8 Mbps, 720p HD movies require a recommended speed of 6 Mbps, while SD movies require a recommended speed of 2.5 Mbps.
If your internet speed varies, the time will be recaculated from time to time. -
Black screen when I try to rent a movie from itunes
I've paid for and downloaded a rented movie from itunes. I now have 24 hours to watch it, but I can't get past a black screen. Basically after pushing play itunes seems to almost freeze. Any ideas?

For the last 2 days when I try to rent a movie on my Apple TV the Apple TV attempts to access the iTunes Store and then I get a message saying Apple TV cannot connect to the server at this time. Please try again later. I have no trouble connecting to Netflix, Hulu or any of the other apps. I also have no trouble connecting to the iTunes Store using my iPhone or iPad. I have also tried restarting the Apple TV and my router. Any help will be appreciated.
I have a similar problem. After a recent update I cannot access the iTunes Store to resubscribe to Hulu. "Cannot access iTunes Store at this time." Dunno what to do.

Make sure the credit card address is exactly as it appears on the card, it may just be worth entering it again.

My apple tv appears to work fine, watching netflix and other apps. but when I try to rent an itunes movie I receive the Security Information Required message. I have sharing turned on, the apple tv and macbook are logged into the same apple ID.

pretty frustrated.It's telling you to verify your payment details. You need to go into iTunes on your computer and check that your address and credit card info are accurate. You will also need to make sure you have put in your security code.
