When I try to set up a link to AOL on the desk top, I get a link to Chrome, which I deleted from my computer. How do I get a link to Firefox?

When I drag the symbol from the URL line to the desktop to set up a link, I get a google chrome icon instead of a firefox icon. I removed chrome from the computer, but I still get a chrome icon which links does not work. How do I get the reference to chrome out of firefox?

Tried again about 30 minutes later, and now I get firefox links. Don't know what changed, but seems to be OK.

If you selected open a new Apple ID account, go back a step and enter use existing Apple ID.
You will have to set up a separate iCloud account or your iPads will mirror each other.

New MBPr when viewing safari in full screen mode it keeps switching to the desk top screen like I initiated a gesture

Everytime I am using safari in full screen mode my MBPr always switches back to desk top view within a matter of seconds. I can be typing a website or entering data in to a form and it still switches back. This has become very annoying. Firefox never used to do this. It does it with our Intranet site and on other external sites. I don't want to save the pdf. This is very infuriating and if it is not resolved I will change to another default browser.

In order to change the default reader for PDF files (allow Firefox to open the PDF instead of saving locally), follow these steps:

Even though it is geared towards applications purchased from the App Store and you're experiencing the issue with all apps, most of the steps would still be applicable to your situation. I would also take a look at the troubleshooting assistant to see if that helps:

Contact the email provider. That sounds like normal behavior for most IMAP email accounts.

Same issue here... used to work fine, now when I try to set up to publish photos to Facebook, the "Please try again later" message comes up in the pop-up window instead of the Facebook login. It just started doing this last week.

You can try going to Mail>the accounts>Advanced and turn Use SSL on or off, the opposite of what it is now.

I have currently FF 3.6.8 running under Windows XP 32 bit. I am using Multiproxy Switch ver 1.33 add-on to switch between multiple proxies.
My FF starting page is http://www.google.com/ncr . When I start Firefox and the actually configured proxy is unreachable, I get the usual message that the page cannot be opened ("Try again"). Then I switch to another proxy or to direct connection. Normally the desired page (google) opens. But in case I switch the proxy before the error message appears, this grayed message "Search Bookmarks and History" appears instead of the URL in the URL input field and I have to retype the URL.
Remark: I would really like to have this function "Searching Bookmarks and History" available in Firefox, because I often do this kind of search and need 4 clicks to get there (Bookmarks-Organize Bookmarks-Bookmarks Menu-and then input my search criteria).

I would be concerned too if I was not able to gain access to my iPad. If you are unsure what your Apple ID is, you can find the steps in this article:
Apple ID: How to find your Apple ID

You can reset a forgotten Apple ID password by going to the following link:

https://iforgot.apple.com
Also, you may be able to skip the step of entering your Apple ID if you are setting up the iPad for the first time.

Why does it say I have an invalid email when I try to set up sync?

I have an ipod touch. I downloaded the firefox home app onto the device.
I then tried to sync my home computer.
When I try to set up a firefox home account I go to "tools", enter "set up a sync " and then enter "create a new account". A window comes up that "email address". As soon as I start to enter my email an "x" shows up followed by "this is an invalid email". What's up?

Just keep typing until you have entered the entire email address.
