If you are using 10.0.3 or above Apple added a backups folder that for a little extra protection in cases like this. If you quite FCPX go to your Final Cut Pro Projects folder. Find the folder that has the project in question. If it has a backups folder there should be a file with a date stamp and .fcpproject extention, that is your back-up. Just move the back-up from that folder one folder up to the place where you deleted CurrentVersion.fcpproject from. When I have had to do this I haven't renamed the backup but some people to recomend that you rename it to CurrentVersion.fcpproject and it seems to work both ways. Ofcourse it wont work if there is already a CurrenVersion file there you will need to delete that one first.
If you don't have the backups folder or there is nothing in it I am not sure if there is anything that can be done.

I'm getting an error 100 when i try to download final cut pro x

I'm having an issue in downloading Final Cut Pro from the Mac App store. I've seen all the "log out, then log in then stand on your head" steps to make it work but it doesn't. I can download apps, just not Final Cut. I've uninstalled my trial version but am still getting the error 100. I'm running a mid 2009 mac mini with a (2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, NVIDIA GeForce 9400 256 MB, and 8 GB of memory). Any help would be appreciated.

Whether pictures, or executable files, will download into the download box that pops up. When the file is done downloaded, when I attempt to either left click or right click on the file in the download box, it will not allow me to open that file

Do you owe money from these previous purchases? If so, you will not be able to download anything further from the iTunes Store until you provide a payment method, either a credit card or a prepaid iTunes card, to clear that balance.

My only comment would be re: your computer specs:

To be completely honest, FCPX is a RAM hog. It just is. But, RAM is relatively cheap, and the pay-off is good.
4GB is right on the edge, IMHO. 16G is ideal.

I believe there is no "Export to Tape" feature as appeared in legacy FCP.

Try updating your QuickTime to the most recent version. Does that clear up the DEP errors in iTunes?

You probably didn't install iTunes from a user account with Administrator privileges.
