This is at the end of all the other tabs like info, ringtones, music etc. The music in that tab is always on my phone but does not show in my itunes library. How can I get it into my library? It doesn't sync either.

The new iTunes has a somewhat different look from the previous version. You can get the old look back if you prefer it by doing View > Show Sidebar in iTunes. Or you can adapt to the new look.

I just got an iPhone 4S and am unable to get it to show up as a device in iTunes.
I previously backed up my old iPhone on my Windows 7 PC. When I connect my 4S to the PC it is recognized by the PC but does not show up as a device in iTunes.
I have turned off all virus protection software & have tried uninstalling iTunes and all associated Apple software. I reinstalled all Apple software with no results in my 4S showing up as a device in iTunes.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Song PLAYS but does not show up in iTunes

I have an mp3. I right click on it, select "open with iTunes" and then iTunes begins playing the song. however, it does not show up in the song list with the other songs. You can see the title up in the top, where it shows the song thats playing, but it is not in the song list! When I search my iTunes for the song, it does not appear. What's going on?

What format files are these? If WMA the Mac version of iTunes cannot read those. If WAV they will transfer without labels (tags) because WAV does not support tags.
Have you looked in the Recently Added folder just to make sure they didn't end up with labels you weren't expecting?

I would like to delete a number of podcasts from my iPhone. They do not show up in iTunes and when I pull the arrow on the phone it does not give me a delete option. I am using a Windows 7 PC. Recently I had to restore my computer, when I first reconnected my iPhone I thought it might sync it and wipe out everything on my iPhone, but it didn't do that. 1) There is a max $50 in stolen dollars.
2) It is easy to dispute a charge. You call the credit card company. Complain. They call the retailer & refund you the money.

Brand new Ipod Nano 1 gig.
Shows up in itunes when I go under help and the diagnostics tab...(itunes fully updated)
Shows up in my computer
did the drive letter thing
turned the power option for the my usb to always on...
The diagnostics from itunes shows I'm runnning firmware version 1.1 on my ipod nano which makes sense because I'm unable to update the software because itunes will not recognize it in the main menu.
I have another ipod hooked up to this computer occassionally.
Not at the same time though....

Thanks! For whatever bizarre reason for which I have no answer - I sync'd my iPad to my MBP the old fashion way (not iCloud) and the movie showed up just fine. It is Nikon camera 'how to' video. I like to watch them for a better indepth discovery of what the camera can do. The only weird thing about the hard wire sync is that it was placed in a catagory "home movies" which was never there before...actually it showed up in two places "home movies" and TV shows.
So, thanks anyway! Pretty cat!

Try a different USB port.
Restart the device.
Restart the computer.

Sometimes entries for the next 24hours are shown in notification center, and sometimes not. It doesn't have to do with setting an alert, or not.
I really don't know, why it isn't possible to Show up calendar entries for at least 3 days for example.

Searching on keywords, if that's what you're doing, has never really worked. As to searching just on the category in the iTunes Store, it's most unlikely to throw up your podcast. There are thousands of podcasts out there, and it would be quite impossible to display on one page the entire list for any category. What you see are 'featured' podcasts, chosen by Apple as being special; please see this Tech Note:

Note that there is no way you can influence the selection other than making your podcast really special.

Can you double click on them on the memory stick, see if preview opens them, then save them to your Mac?
