Hi, when I use my phone as a personal hotspot I can no longer use the Internet on it. I know some friends that whilst their phone is set up as a hotspot they can still use the Internet on it, how can I get mine so I can still use the Internet whilst set up as a hotspot? I'm using the 4s on 3mobile and tethering with my 1st generation iPad!
It shows a connection. When using wifi n USB. I don't know how to connect using Bluetooth seeing what it says to do is totally different from my computer.
I do have a connection but I can only connect to some sites, I tried YouTube n nfl.com n they both worked but google, hotmail n Facebook said couldn't connect.
I tried using safari on my computer n like explorer I could only connect to a few different websites.

iam using iphone 4S with win 7 PC and i cannot connect to the internet through my phone but i tried with my other 4S and it works but what should i do for the first iphone 4S???

2nd one has os 6.0

A trick that works frequently with iPhones:
Settings > AirPlane Mode ON, Do Not Disturb ON
Power down and wait 5-10 minutes
Power up
Settings > AirPlane Mode OFF, Do Not Disturb OFF
If not successful, an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is usually in order.

Then:
Does the iOS device connect to other networks? See other networks? If yes that tends to indicate a problem with your network.
Does the iOS device see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

hie there Actually um trying to update new iOS 7 for my iphone 4 but when i press the button to install new software suddenly it appears why " iOs 7 failed verification because you are no longer connected to the internet " even my phone is already connected to net
I tried powering down and re-starting the iPhone (as suggested at http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1275). This seems to have cleared the "...not connected to the Internet" problem, and iOS 6.1 is now in the process of downloading.

Why can't I connect to the Internet on my Adobe Reader? And why do websites tell me I don't have Adobe downloaded when I have an updated version on my computer? It is an IPad,does that affect it?

after update to the latest version on my ipad, it no longer connects to the internet nor can i send emails. when plugged in to sync with itunes, it remains 'stuck' at syncing step 2 of 7 backing up. has anyone had similar problems? any solutions?
I had this problem. I held down the power switch to power down completely. Takes a few seconds. Then use the power switch to turn on. Might take a couple goes.

Update to IOS 6.1.1 failed verification because you are no longer connected to the Internet when using home Wifi and verifing connectivity by using Safari to surf net and viewing wifi setting. Do setting need to be adjusted?
This is what worked for me: Double tap your home button to bring up the programs running in the back ground, press and hold so they show the red close option and close all programs. After that shut your iphone down and power back on. Immediately go to General>Software Update and it should work. Good Luck

Is there a way to transfer the iTunes application to my PC using my iPhone? My PC has no means of connecting to the Internet and I do not wish to pay for Internet tethering for a one time use. Richard, I think there's a solution. Found this on another support site:

Did just that and now .local's resolve correctly. (make sure to restart the vpn connection to apply the new search). -
When Mozilla Firefox last automatically updated, it suggested that Adobe Reader needed updating. After updating to Adobe Reader 8, I can no longer print from the internet, only to a file. I know the printer and its interface must be OK because Word prints normally.
Problem solved, it was my oversight, I had not removed the check from the Print to File box in the print set up.

Not very helpful but I have the same issue. Plugging in and doing the update via. iTunes will probably work but I find that whole experience annoying (downloading apps not on the Mac, etc..)

I followed the directions to install the IOS 7.0.6 update to my Ipad Mini, but when I click on install and agree to terms & conditions, it says it is unable to verify the update because I am no longer connected to the internet. Not true. Help.
Ok, got it now. I turned the Mini off and rebooted. Seems to be working fine now.

I can't use the swipe feature on my ipod touch 5. How can I fix this?
My ipod touch 5, 28 GB will not allow me to swipe or scroll. I have to tap the feature I want then a box appears around it & then I have to double-tap to get it to work. I can't access anything that is not on the first screen because I can't scroll
