When I want to go back a page the drop down box is filled with the current page, all earlier sites have disappered out of sight

When I have been at a site for a while and decide to go back, when I use the drop down box it has filled with the current page location. The longer I am there the more times it repeats its self.

usually when i want to go back or forward i just hit the back or forward button on the toolbar. it will not work now for some reason. it is really a feature i enjoy. help!

Arrow icons back/forward, where is drop down box?

version 4, I use the back & forward arrows a lot, what happened to the drop down box, where I could go back using the list on the drop down?
much faster than hitting the back icon over and over?

You can get the drop down list by either right-clicking on the back/forward buttons, or holding down the left button until the list appears.

FF will not respond after opening a drop down box or filling in any form until I minimize and restore the page. This happens constantly.

Just to get to the page to post this I had to minimize FF 3 times because it doesn't recognize that I am on the page that is loaded. I can move my curser, but cannot click anywhere. When it just showed I misspelled "curser" and I tried to right click the word to correct it, I got the pop up dictionary, went back to try to continue typing and could not. I had to minimize the window, then bring it back up to continue typing. I have already fully uninstalled FF, I have reset back to an older date, I have shut down and taken the battery out. I have tried installing older versions of FF. Also, when I try to use bookmarks or other drop down menus in FF, it's randomly blacked out. I will attempt to show a screen shot if allowed. The box has two options,... "Send", or " Don't send",...
I always hit the don't send button.
It always drops down twice now when it used to only drop down once.

If I understand what you're describing, that's a function of the phpbb forum, not something Safari is doing or can change.
A suggestion: Instead of just clicking on the posts you want to read, I would Command-click to open them in new tabs. Your page of search results will remain open in the first tab, so when you're finished reading the posts, you can close their tabs and return to your list of search results.

It's not a matter of me assuming to restore it, once the error comes up, the only next step I can do is to restore it. I can't access any of the iphones settings in itunes or anything, it's a mandatory restore. If I just cancel the sync (before restoring) and disconnect the phone, all my apps crash on opening: aka unusable phone. So I have literally no choice but to restore every time the error shows up if I want my phone to work.
I have no idea where I may have duplicate files as it doesn't tell me, so if that is the problem (which I don't think it is) then I don't know where I have to go to delete the duplicates.
And the duplicate file error still doesn't explain why leaving iTunes to restore the phone doesn't work and me having to drag the window around. I know it sounds utterly ridiculous, my friend didn't believe me when I told him either but then I showed him and he was as confused as I am. If I just leave the restore to do its own thing at it's own pace, it will loa maybe 20% then fail for whatever reason.

It's real easy to create a new one and, in fact, it's too easy. I say that because multiple IDs are a PIA. The problem is that anything obtained from the iTunes Store is PERMANENTLY associated with the ID that was used to obtain the item(s). iTunes items can not be transferred from one ID to another and IDs can not be merged.
The problem arises when you want to update an app. If you're doing it from iTunes on your computer, you must log out and back in to get to the correct ID. Then you update and log out/in again to get back to where you started. It's slightly easier if you update from the iPad/iPod device as there is no need to log out/in BUT you still need the correct password for the appropriate ID. Of course, with a disabled ID, the problem is much worse!
A replacement Apple ID makes sense ONLY if you wish to start out absolutely brand new with zero iTunes Store purchases.
If you're really butting your head aginst a wall and you're reasonably close to an Apple Store, my suggestion is that you make an appointment with the resident "Genius" and get his/her help.
One last thought... If your brother actually got a human on the phone to dispute the charges, go there and explain the problem. Of course, if Apple did not accept his explanation of what occurred, that could be the whole issue. Apple believes that money is owed on the account!

First of all, why did you say yes to Nero Back up before researching what it does with files already on the HDD? When I install Nero, the Back Up is the first thing I disable, it is a nagging pain, there are much better backup programs available. There are several file recovery programs out there to recover deleted files, that is, if that is what happened. Also, if you haven't overwritten the files, so you should be able to find them.
