When should I expect a PM to the managers here to be read?

Just curious - I wrote to the Uverse care team 2 days ago about a worsening condition, and it still shows as unread. Not having needed their services before, I don't know what a typical timeframe is for them to read and respond to my message so I thought I would ask here so I know when to get mad ;-)

When should we expect album art support on Zen microph

When Should we expect support for album art and ease of looking at photos while playing music. I am very disappointed at the lack of this specific firmware upgrade. I hope to see it soon on the Zen MicroPhoto.

When can we expect a fix for the Windows 8.1 hotplug issue with a Thunderbolt device. I got a dock to easy my up-and-go time when moving from using my laptop on the desk vs in meetings. Instead my computer crashes and I have to reboot.
I am seeing this issue with the 2012 Macbook pro Retina running Bootcamp with Windows 8.1 x64 bit with the F4U055 Dock from Belkin

I can confirm that hotplug does work properly on Windows 8.1 with Asus Thunderbolt ExII (Thunderbolt 2)
But does not work with Windows 8.1 and MacBook Pro Retina (Thunderbolt 1)
To get hot plug working with the Asus Thunderbolt ExII, you install the intel thunderbolt drivers, and then you get an interface where you can eject devices, and do things like setup more detailed security. However, this doesn't have any effect with the MacBook Pro. I suspect that either:
1) Apple's Thunderbolt hardware doesn't support hotplugging on windows
2) Hotplugging on Windows requires Thunderbolt 2
So, I should check on my Mac Pro (dustbin edition) to see if it works there with Thunderbolt II
Be great to hear if anybody has any success with this on an Apple device!

I'm using volume licensing and the Adobe Licensing Website. When should I expect upgrades to hit for CS 5 upgrades to hit for the licenses I've bought an upgrade plan for?

It seems unlikely that they would phase it out on their own; see the recent European rollouts announced. I agree that it may go the way of the Newton, but that only based on Apple not updating the phone, fixing/patching. The Newton was an amazing device, it just never worked quite right. I had one. The iPhone is the same...sadly I have one of those too. I truley hope Apple continues to invest in the iPhone and evolve it into the phone some designer envisioned day one.

and able to download my MCITP Certificate to-date. But I am yet to receive an email on confirmation of the certificate and instead I've only receive MCTS certificate on Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure, Configuration on 2nd Feb, 2014. Considering
this is the 7th day since get done with exams, When should I expect to get the certificate entitled MCITP EA?

Are all of your passed exams appearing on your MCP transcript? If they are, sometimes it take a few extra days for all the titles to appear on your transcript. However, seven (7) days is a long time. If you call them, they might tell you to wait
until ten (10) days. That's what they told me a few weeks ago.
If there are passed exams missing on your transcript, you can scan them as images (less than 100K in size) and send them to Microsoft.
Gather the image(s) and other information including your MCP ID and your Prometric ID (it's on your pass exam) and then contact your Microsoft Regional Service Center. Their email address is

Joe, when can we expect a fix for the numerous keyword problems? Is this a priority?
There are so many problems that I’ll be very surprised if you can resolve them all on the first attempt. I doubt you have a complete list but I feel safe in saying they’ve all been mentioned here in one form or another. You would be doing yourself and the customers a service if you took the unprecedented step of providing your list so that it can be reviewed for accuracy. I’m finding new problems... or at least I think I am. I hate to waste your time reporting problems others have already reported or worse yet, problems I’ve reported — as I’ve lost track there are so many.
Please let us know what is going on with this. You’ve made progress on the performance issues (though I think I speak for everyone with a PPC system that it’s still not what it should be – and I have a G5 Quad w/7 GB RAM and Quadro FX 4500 card. Aperture should be smokin’ but it’s not...)

I have a 500 GB hard drive; that's how I've avoided the issue, to date. But you consider a 2000 shot bat mitzvah a small shoot, so I have know problem acknowledging you shoot a lot more than I do.
The key point about Aperture, to date, is that it doesn't add ANY data to original RAW files, period. Everything it appears to do -- everything is just a set of modifications to the master. This applies to sharpening, this applies to shadows and highlights, this applies to cropping... and it applies to metadata.
As for archival, etc., ... if you're archiving outside of Aperture... why not just use multiple Aperture libraries? It's a bit inconvenient (to the extent that it takes 15 seconds to change the setting and re-launch), but it gets around the problem. I mean, if you're archiving external to Aperture in original RAW format, you're not only "losing" the metadata... you're losing every single change you've made to the file. Truly, no editing functionality of anything would you be using in this scenario.

Android 2.2 was released 8/2. When should we expect to see the notification appear?

Does anyone know how the droid x updates are queued up? I keep checking my system updates button so many times, I've started to feel like a kid waiting for my x-ray spy glasses to arrive in the mail.

Verizon put a type of MotoBlur skin on top of the Android OS on the Droid X. The original Droid was more basic.
The delay is in the testing to make sure that nothing is broken when they put it out on the OTA servers for the Droid X. This involves more time before release. Its the nature of the beast. No matter how well programmers do a program, when the underlying OS is changed, there are bound to be problems. Look at the iOS4. I know of programmers that had to scramble to fix their programs because of something Apple changed, and now their programs have bugs where they didn't have bugs before. The changes were buried in documentation, so they didn't see the problem before iOS4 was released.
Verizon wants to make sure that their skin doesn't break with 2.2. I personally don't mind the delay. I would rather it take Verizon a few more weeks to get the update out, than to push it out prematurely and have something broken that renders the phone unusable.
No, I do not work for Verizon. I work for a Fortune 500 company as a Testing Engineer Specialist, so I do understand why it takes a while to get something out.

I preordered my iPhone 4 2 years ago and i dont remember how soon before i received it did i get a shipping email...today i was up at 3am (EST) and at 3:01 i was able to start preordering my phone and got a date of 9/21 as delivery...but how soon should we expect a shipping email? during this weekend or monday? The only indicator anyone in the forums has to go on is the previous Windows release. Following the Microsoft's initial release of Windows 7, it took 89 days for Apple to release Boot Camp support for Windows 7. If past is prologue, then we are talking, roughly, January 22nd or 23rd before Boot Camp support is released for Windows 8. As DS Store mentioned, it is possible to run Windows 8 within a virtual machine on your Mac. However, running Windows 8 in Boot Camp is likely preferable, since you have the best use of computer resources in that situation.

It has been fixed, Firefox 3.6.15 is now available, use the "Check for updates" option in the Help menu.

I know no one here works for Apple, but perhaps someone knows some information that I don't. What and when is Apple going to address the signal loss issue? My phone is completely unusable unless I stand in direct line of sight with a tower or hold it up by two fingers. Has anyone tried to exchange their phones at the store? I called the local one (about an hour away) and the only thing the tech was able to tell me was "don't use it like that" ... what a joke!

Sorry you are having that trouble. For me, the 4 is leagues ahead of my 3GS in reception and in holding calls. And there's no comparison to the original.
All I know is, despite horrible AT&T service at my house, this phone has had none of the failed calls and sudden underwater sounds the other two would experience. Data speed tests have all been faster than the 3GS ever was, too.
I hope yours gets better or at least as good as mine because this is the best gsm phone I've used at my house... And I've had regular use of iPhones and several from work from blackjacks to blackberries.

I'll like to purchase MacBook Air 2012 but prefer Mountain Lion pre-installed. It seems I need to keep waiting even the Mountain Lion is available today.

It will probably take a few days to a couple of weeks, depending on stock, for Apple Stores to have systems with Mountain Lion installed; longer for many independent dealers. If you're ordering from the online Apple Store, it probably will be much sooner, but call them and ask.
You may find it better to have Lion preinstalled. That way you can upgrade to Mountain Lion when you're confident it's stable and that all your apps are compatible.
