When starting iTunes (for WinXP) and go to Store, crashes with R6002

As the subject says, when I try to start iTunes on this WinXP machine, and it is set to go to the store (or I start it otherwise, and then choose to go to the store) it crashes (freezes) and gives a R6002 floating point support not loaded error... I tried this on an identical machine (Compal CY25) (the wife's) and worked fine (in fact I had to use her computer to register my iPhone!).
ANy one else had this, have ideas? I have searched the internet to no avail (other then a bunch of MS garbly-goop for C++ programmers). HELP...

Well, since I have gotten a whole zero of replies, I will add this: It now works with the latest version of iTunes. Sooooo, whether a known problem or not, it is now fixed. "never mind"

Apple TV 2 all of a sudden has trouble streaming.  I stream from my desktop computer's iTunes for movies, and tonight it started stopping randomly mid movie and saying it wasn't connected.  Any ideas?  Router?  ATV dying?
It just says not connected, and as soon as it bails to menu, it connects again and will play for another minute before doing the same thing all over again.

    Hello David,
Thank you for contributing to the Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like your Apple TV is having trouble streaming videos from iTunes on your computer. This symptom could have a variety of causes, and I'd suggest the following initial troubleshooting steps.
In addition to restarting your devices (Apple TV, computer, router), try the tips in this article, starting with "Check your home network:"

Getting "the procedure entry point CGImageRelease could not be located in the dynamic link library CoreGraphics.dll" error when starting Itunes. Haved reloaded many times and still the error.

Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. Now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "Apple Application Support" and then click "Repair".
    Does iTunes launch properly now?
If no joy after that, try the more rigorous uninstall/reinstall procedure from the following post:

  • Error messages when starting iTunes - 11556 and other. Who may help?

    Hi there,
When starting iTunes i get to the iTunes U store. Trying to connect to the normal iTunes store, I get the following error message:
"We could not complete your iTunes store request. The iTunes store is temporarly unavailable"
This message I get since about one week. Further I tried to sign in and then I get the following message:
"iTunes could not connect to the iTunes store. An unknown error occured (11556). Make sure your network connection is active and try again."
Network connection is working. iTunes connectivity diagnostics showed: all tests passed. I am using the latest version of iTunes (9.0.3.15). I tried to reinstall iTunes - did not help.
I hope, anybody can help me.
    Regards,
    kunzro

    Hey Richard
After I posted here I realized it was in the Windows/iTunes board. I reposted in the OS X/iTunes board along with the solution.
I did more searching on Google and found that the store was disabled in parental controls in the iTunes Prefs. Go to iTunes prefs, click on Parental. See if iTunes store is disabled. I unchecked it and am all set. Someone mentioned that when iTunes is updated, this setting is the default.
    Hope this helps.

  • When starting iTunes I always get the message "Do you want the application"... My firewall is on and incoming connections are allowed

When starting Itunes the following message appears every thime:
Do you want the application "iTunes.app" to accept incoming network connections?
I always click on Allow, but it doesn't help.
I'm not using the root user to work on my mac and turned the firewall on.
As mentioned on a website I already removed the /Library/Preferences/com.apple.alf.plist file, but it didn't help.

    Found the solution:
I checked iTunes by executing the following command in a terminal window:
    codesign -vvv /Applications/iTunes.app
I reinstalled iTunes because my result was different from the expected output:
    /Applications/iTunes.app/: valid on disk
    /Applications/iTunes.app/: satisfies its Designated Requirement
I logged in as a root user.
    In /Library/Preferences/ I deleted
    - com.apple.alf.plist
    - com.apple.alf.plist.lockfile
(although I could not empty the trash bin due to the lockfile, you can after a reboot)
I clicked on the iTunes.app application and pressed command+i
In that window I allowed everyone to read/write
I've moved the application to the trash bin.
After rebooting the mac and logging in as a root user, I could empty the trash bin.
I made sure that my firewall was started again, and downloaded the latest version of
    iTunes (currently 10.5.1).
Launching iTunes doesn't give any warnings anymore because it's auto-trusted by mac.
    Hope this helps others.

  • I have upgraded my iTunes for Windows and I have lost all my apps and music

I have upgraded my iTunes for Windows and I have lost all my apps and music.
Although i signed in with my iTunes account, i can see only 5 apps (that i downloaded in the last 2-3 days), although on my iPad and iPhone i have more than 100 apps.
If i connect my devices to iTunes, the syncronisation will be made the other way, from iTunes to iPhone/iPad, so i will lose everything.
    1. How can i restore these apps from the iCloud back-ups from my devices to my iTunes? Or any other method possible?
    2. If you can also give me a suggestion about how to find my music playlists, that would save me from a lot of useless work on creating them again.
    Thank you!

    Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
In the unlikely event that all the media has been inexplicably and permanently removed from your computer, see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.
When you get it all working make a backup!

  • Is anybody else experiencing crashes when installing iTunes for Windows?

Is anybody else experiencing crashes when installing iTunes for Windows?

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box (similar to those given above) are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

  • ITunes 10.5 beta: Error -50 when starting iTunes

    Hi all,
When i try to start iTunes from the dock i always get the error -50.
I'm also using OSX Lion 10.7 beta.
I have the same problem with iTunes 10.3, only 10.2 works fine, but i already updated my iPhone to iOS 5 beta, so i'm not able to use 10.2 anymore.
I've searched a lot of this problem on google and stuff but i only found solutions for this error while downloading a video or something else, but not when starting iTunes.
    Please can someone help me?

  • When starting iTunes I get a "Windows Configuring iTunes" window

Everytime when starting iTunes a Windows Installer window pops up and says "Please wait while Windows configures iTunes" while a bar at the bottom moves. It takes like 6 seconds to go away and then iTunes opens up. But if I open a song file from windows explorer iTunes boots right up. Also QuickTime gives me "Error 46: Could not load or find the QuickTime ActiveX control." when I try to run it. These happened after I upgraded to 7.2. Also something that might have had something to do with it, last week I had an icon tell me I needed to activate my windows vista even though I had already actvated vista around 2 months prior. So I got it activated again via windows tech support. I think something happened to my vista installation which caused vista to say it needed to be activated and also caused an alteration to my windows user account thus causing error 46 since it thinks it was installed on a different user account. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling. I've created a new user and installed it on there but to no avail.
    Please help

    Hello midnite1,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities!
I would recommend uninstalling iTunes altogether, and then installing the newest version from http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
