When trying to read emails on hotmail on firefox, the "back" button on my mouse doesn't work right. It works fine if I use internet explorer. This started about three days ago.
Also doesn't work right when I try to click on the inbox. I sometimes just get a blank screen. Seems to work fine on every other site except Hotmail.
Nothing changed after clearing cashe and cookies and restarting in safe mode.

Suddenly Can't Open PDFs in Firefox. Starting about three days ago firefox will no longer open any PDFs. I get a blank page in a new tab. Nice timing, with finals and everything where I need to view PDFs of practice tests.
Mozilla Firefox did not do their job, here. I am an editor and am constantly online. Now, I have to go to Safari to download PDFs. I reinstalled an earlier version of Firefox to get rid of the problem, but somehow Firefox has deactivated my PDF download feature. This is a total wreck and I am so angry I could spit. I have been having trouble with hotmail for about 4-5 days.
I enter my username and password but it doesn't sign me in.It keeps telling me the connection to the server was reset.
I saw there was an upgrade to version 4 and so I installed it, hoping it would help but the problem is still there.
I am also having trouble with some other sites including: deviantart.com and bookdepository.co.uk
These sites all work OK on my work computer which uses IE.
I have cleared all cookies and cache and checked for malware, but nothing has fixed this problem.Try to reload those web page(s) and bypass the cache.

My bank (ING) has cookies that retain my login. Without the login, I have to answer the challenge questions every time. I am not set for private browsing and I have accept cookies from third party sites and until they expire.
As a follow up, I've discovered that this is happening in IE on the same websites. When I log into a different computer and test the same scenarios, the cookies do not disappear. It seems to be a problem on my computer. However, if anyone knows how to fix this, I'd be glad to hear it.

When I open Mail the fans start up and only stop when Mail closes. This began two days ago.
Previous to that I never had any problems with Mail; but Safari has been very slow on occasions. I don't know if the 2 pbs are linked.You can check for problems with the sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak files in the Firefox Profile Folder that store session data.
Delete the sessionstore.js file and possible sessionstore-##.js files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).

About three days ago my ipod said i needed to sync and so i did . when i did it stop working and the wifi is grey out and says no wifi . Ive tried rebooting it , reseting , restarting but nothing seems to work . Can anybody help me ? Please !

I believe that when you reset your ipod(command given from the computer, right?) touch WHILE the ipod was updating, It cleared the system in the middle of writing files, thus corrupting(equivalent of cutting of in the middle of a sentence) the basic running system.
I suggest you go to an apple store and ask for a technical diagonosis in person. they may offer to help if the problem is fixable. If your ipod is still under warrenty, i would guess it would be free/low cost.

My Apple TV2 keeps resetting when watching NETFLIX. This started about one week ago. I can watch fine from my MAC. Both are hardwired to my Aiport network.

I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.

In Firefox only there is now a 5 second screen delay between keyboard entry and the input appearing on the screen (in Google Docs Gmail). There is much disk activity during this delay. Nope, that's fine.
The MSI rep I forwarded this to said that he has forwarded on-ward as he did not have a GE40 for testing at the time.
He did also agree and seem to think there is a problem with the EC that would cause this issue.
I expect he may post here once a fix has been found.

I'll wait. I think it is clear that the problem goes away when I restart laptop, and also after changing and accepting settings in Control Panel -> Keyboard. But next fn + func. key will again cause default settings -

About three years ago in 1012 I had an iphone3 sent and deleted text messages of course and as of now those text messages are needed for an upcoming court case i will be involved with. So is there any way to retrieve those text messages from three years ago. I am just in need of the text messages from February 2012 on. So its about 6 to 10 months of texts. what do I have to do to get them back if possible???
As the others noted, if you don't have any older iTunes backups then the deleted messages would not be recoverable. The free trial of Decipher TextMessage will show you if there are any text messages in your older backups that can be recovered.
