  • When I turn on my computer I get an error message; AppleSyncNotifier.exe Entry Point not found. What do I do to fix it?

When ever I log onto my computer I keep getting this error message.
AppleSyncNotifier.exe - Entry Point can not be found. Something to do with an SQLite3.dll file. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Hi Molly - I can tell you're frustrated and I will do my best
Can you tell me whether you have a 32bit or 64bit system. You can find out in the following way
    Windows Vista or Windows 7
If you have Windows Vista or Windows 7, there are two methods to determine whether you are running a 32-bit or a 64-bit version. If one does not work, try the other.
Method 1: View System window in Control Panel
Click Start, type system in the Start Search box, and then click system in the Programs list.
The operating system is displayed as follows:
For a 64-bit version operating system: 64-bit Operating System appears for the System typeunder System.
For a 32-bit version operating system: 32-bit Operating System appears for the System typeunder System.
Method 2: View System Information window
Click Start, type system in the Start Search box, and then click System Information in thePrograms list.
When System Summary is selected in the navigation pane, the operating system is displayed as follows:
For a 64-bit version operating system: x64-based PC appears for the System type under Item.
For a 32-bit version operating system: x86-based PC appears for the System type under Item.
If you have a different OS (operating system) let me know which one and I'll tell you how to find that out.
Once I know I should be able to give you the fix.
    Cheers

Are you really using Windows ME?<br />
Your More system details list shows an IE8 user agent
You need to do a clean reinstall and remove the Firefox program folder before installing a newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
    * It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder] and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

    Doublechecking, Dad:
I have also reloaded all other iTunes software.
Did you use the following document as a guide?
Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7
(If we're looking at program file damage down in Apple Application Support or Apple Mobile Device Support, the 2. Verify iTunes and related components are completely uninstalled section is very important.)

At my PC startup, I get an error message "AppleSyncNotifier.exe--Entry Point Not Found"  My iPhone now doesn't show up as a Device in either iTunes or My Computer on my PC. I've uninstalled/ reinstalled iTunes & run diagnostics-no luck. Ideas?

I think my problem is fixed now.
For the fun of it, I reinstalled iTunes 9.2.1 today (using the exact same installer as I did yesterday), but this time I didn't uninstall iTunes first. As expected, iTunes recognized my iPhone (as I expected it to, until my next reboot).
A few minutes later, Software Update showed up and among the updates is "iPhone SDK Compatibility Update". The description indicates that installing this should fix an issue where iPhones and iPod touches aren't recognized by iTunes. Isn't that interesting?
I installed that update and most of the others waiting for me (including Java, Safari 5.0.1, and a few others - not 10.6.4 though, due to the issues with nVidia graphics cards). After the reboot, I started iTunes, and it saw my iPhone!
So, if you're having this same problem, I'd recommend tracking down this update and see if that does the trick for you. Hopefully it will.

Error message when I log onto my computer.
Does any one one know how to fix this error?
It states: The procedure entry point Sqlite3_wal_checkpoint could not be located in the dynamic link librery SQLite3.dll

With that one, I'd first try uninstalling and reinstalling your MobileMe control panel. Does that clear up the error?

After updating itunes, I get the message iTunes.exe-Entry Point Not Found. The procedure entry point AVCFPlayerEnableHardwareAcceleratedVideoDecoderKey could not be located in the dynamic library AVFoundationCF.dll.
Then another error message tells me: iTunes not installed correctly. Please reinstall.  Error 7 (Windows error 127). I've tried to repair which looks successful until I try the desktop shortcut as well as going into the exe file in program files. Still the same message.  Operating a windows XP service pack 3 with 32 bit. Help would be most appreciated.--No problems with itunes until this recent update.

Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. If you're using Vista or 7, now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "Apple Application Support" and then click "Repair". If you're using XP, head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "Apple Application Support", click "Change" and then click "Repair".
If no joy after that, try the more rigorous uninstall/reinstall procedure from the following post. (If you've got XP, although the procedure is for Vista and 7, just read "Computer" as "My Computer", read "Uninstall a program control panel" as "Add or Remove programs control panel" and assume the system is 32-bit, and you'll be doing the right things.)

I recieve this message every time I start my computer, AppleSyncNotifier.exe - Entry Point Not Found. How can I fix this?

    No problem.
You can either get it via Apple Software Update ("Start > All Programs > Apple Software Update" ... it'll appear in the "New programs" section) or by downloading an installer from the following page on the Apple Website:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL769

  • I keep getting the error box "firefox.exe- entry point not found" it says- ?alloc@nsmemory@@sapaxi@z could not be located in the dynamic link library xpcom.dll.

This happens on more than just the Denver post Broncos site but I notice it there most. When I get the error it locks the page load until I click the OK in the error box. This will happen multiple times as pages load. It started when I upgraded Firefox to3.6.8. If I keep clicking OK I can read articles but when the pages come up I have to keep clicking to make the error box go away, a real pain.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
See [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] and [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems
See [[Basic Troubleshooting#Make_a_new_profile|Basic Troubleshooting&#58; Make a new profile]]
There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins"
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile (be careful not to copy corrupted files)
    See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Transferring_data_to_a_new_profile_-_Firefox
