When using firefox, how do i zoom in and out on a page?

example: when i use internet explorer i just click on the tool tab if i need to zoom in or out. however, with firefox, i cannot figure how do zoom in and out on a page?
thank you,
kim

I don't think Firefox has a slider to do that but it uses shortcuts.
'''CTRL + + (plus sign)''' is to zoom in<br>
'''CTRL + - (minus sign/dash)''' is to zoom out<br>
'''CTRL + 0 (zero)''' resets the percentage to default (100%)

    There is no built-in zoom function for video.
    So, you can either quickly run closer to the subject to zoom in, and quickly run back to zoom out, or use an alternative video capture app, such as:

  • Using Firefox, how do I block side pop out ads/links?

    When using Firefox I continue to get these left hand pop-out strips for links to Facebook, Email, Twitter, Reddit, Stumblupon and more. This strip of links covers the text on the page making it impossible to read any article.
    How do I get rid of it? I've installed AdBlock, AdPlus, NoScript and still can't get rid of the thing. Here's a picture:

    I only get the overlap if I zoom the page using full page zoom.
    I some cases "Zoom Text Only" causes issues and full page zoom causes issues, but in this case the opposite happens.
    You can hide that bar with this code in userContent.css or Stylish
    <pre><nowiki>@-moz-document domain(www.towleroad.com){
    #at4-share { display: none !important; }
    }</nowiki></pre>

    Yes but I would have to do that with each page I view. I want a resolution to remove that option permanently.
    Please understand, my browser(s) appear on a five-foot display (two-30" Cinema displays) and because of poor eyesight (which can't be corrected with glasses or surgery) I must Zoom the page to a readable size. But that is hampered now by this ridiculous left side link pop-out. A pop-out that is there for the convenience of the website to help promote their business through social media.
    I DO HAVE the option to ban this side pop-out using Safari - so why can't the Firefox people offer the same option? I dropped Firefox years ago and returned just a few months back hoping the problems with Firefox had been corrected. They haven't yet day after day we keep getting new upgrades disabling our addons until those developers can catch up.
    I like Firefox but I now like Safari much better. I can search for anything directly in the url bar and not in a separate search box. I am removing Firefox from my systems.

  • How do I zoom in and out in a photo

    I am complete new to using a MAC and Iphoto. Can I zoom in and out of a photo to do close up editing?
    Is Iphoto the only program I need to edit and retouch photos? If not, can someone recommend a simple and inexpensive program?

    I find the zoom slide quite easily when using the computer screen on my Macbook. However, when I project the images onto a screen the slide for some reason disappears. Any ideas?
    Welcome to Mac. The iPhoto tutorial is a good place
    to start:
    http://www.apple.com/ilife/tutorials/iphoto/
    Yes, you can zoom in. At the bottom of the iPhoto
    window is an icon that looks like a box with arrows
    pointing out. Select a photo and click that icon to
    enter the Full Screen Edit mode. At the bottom of
    that window, rt. of center, is a size slider which
    will zoom your photo. To see the edit tools, move
    your curser to the bottom of the window. Those tools
    will show you what kind of edits you can do with
    iPhoto. To keep the tools or thumbnails in view, go
    to View > Show toolbar or Show thumbnails.
    I use iPhoto in combination with PhotoShop Elements
    4. It is relatively inexpensive, at around $60 - $80.
    Many of its functions are simple and easy to use, but
    with some study and practice you'll find it is as
    complex and powerful as you need it to be. You can
    read about it here:

  • Firefox with my mac is not letting me pinch and close to zoom in and out on web pages

    firefox will not allow me to use my track pad to pinch and close to zoom in and out on web pages

    Some gestures have been removed in Firefox 4+ versions.
    You can restore the zoom feature by changing the values of the related prefs on the <b>about:config</b> page.
    * browser.gesture.pinch.in -> <b>cmd_fullZoomReduce</b>
    * browser.gesture.pinch.in.shift -> <b>cmd_fullZoomReset</b>
    * browser.gesture.pinch.out -> <b>cmd_fullZoomEnlarge</b>
    * browser.gesture.pinch.out.shift -> <b>cmd_fullZoomReset</b>
    * browser.gesture.pinch.latched -> <b>false</b>
    To open the <i>about:config</i> page, type <b>about:config</b> in the location (address) bar and press the "<i>Enter</i>" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.<br />
    If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.<br />
    *Use the Filter bar at to top of the about:config page to locate a preference more easily.
    *Preferences that have been modified show as bold (user set).
    *Preferences can be reset to the default via the right-click context menu if they are user set
    *Preferences can be changed via the right-click context menu: Modify (String or Integer) or Toggle (Boolean)

  • Internet provider wants to provision my modem when using FireFox, how can I do this.

    I bought a Surfboard modem (SB6121) so I would not have to lease a modem from Time Warner Cable any longer. When I use FIrefox to navigate the web, TWC asks me to provision my equipment. I talked with their customer service rep, who was able to see/ping my equipment with no issues. I can use IE8 to surf with no issues.

    Did you check the connection settings in Firefox?

    If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then try to select "No Proxy" if "Use the system proxy settings" or one of the others do not work properly.

  • Compared to google chrome, when using firefox with fb, it is choppy and so slow to load new tabs and general info. Google is by far superior wish you could make ff the equal as I use both simultaneously

    I use google chrome and firefox at the same time, logged on to different accounts in fb, google chrome functions smoothly, opening new windows or tabs or even just loading is quicker, firefox fills like it is working to hard, like pulling teeth, new tabs are slow to open, new windows are slower, just loading fb is slower, the whole experience is extremely choppy. Even when just using firefox alone, it is extremely choppy, not really sure how to explain it. It used to be the equivalent to goggle chrome and my browser of choice.

    It's possible that you are having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
    Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not caused by one (or more than one) of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do that easily and cleanly, run Firefox in [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode safe mode] (don't forget to select ''Disable all add-ons'' when you start safe mode). If the problem disappears, you know it's from an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode, and enable them one at a time until you find the source of the problem. See [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes this article] for information about troubleshooting extensions and themes and [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting+plugins this one] for plugins.
    If you need support for one of your add-ons, you'll have to contact its author.
    If the problem does not disappear when all add-ons are disabled, please tell me, so we can work from there. Please have no fear of following my instructions to the line, as all can be easily undone.

  • HT2845 how do I zoom in and out using the mouse?

    I often mistakenly zoom in on the safari screen with my mouse and don't know how to undo it or even how I've zoomed in.

    See if you have smart zoom enabled:
    (image from: http://magicmousehelp.com/smart-zoom-not-working-magic-mouse/)

  • Lately when using Firefox the mouse no longer works and no links or tabs can be selected. The only way to get the mouse to work is to switch windows with ctrl+tab

    The mouse is completely unavailable, not even able to select anything on the taskbar or start button.
    When this started happening I had to restart firefox, then I tried opening the task manager to see if anything was hogging resources and I found simply opening the task manager freed up the mouse, then I found simply using alt+tab to switch windows did it, then I discovered using alt+tab to cycle through the available windows straight back to firefox does it.

    It's all very easy,just go to the Help in the top left of Mozilla and select Trouble Shooting Information and then select Reset Firefox.When it has finished and restarted I went to Tools/Options/Advanced/Updates and selected the Check for updates but let me choose button.This will save all your Info to your computer as as file and will reset Firefox with no popup rubbish.No need for all malware checks and deleting Firefox

  • How do I zoom in and out in Pages for the iPad?

    I'm using Pages on my iPad (1), but don't seem to be able to zoom in. The "pinch open to zoom in" doesn't seem to work, it just springs back when I take my fingers off the screen. Am I missing something? I have no problem zooming in using pinch open in e.g. Safari or Keynote.

    I can get two options — Actual size and fit on screen. According to the help section if you use 2 fingers and 'quickly' pinch out you can get a view at 200 per cent. It has never worked for me.

  • On Yahoo Groups, Internet Explorer show a clipboard function for posting photos. When using Firefox the clipboard doesn't show up, so you can't post photos.

    On Yahoo Groups, using Internet Explorer, one can use a clipboard function to post photos to messages. When using Firefox, the clipboard doesn't appear and you cannot post photos on group messages.

    Make sure that you allow pages to choose their colors and that you haven't enabled High Contrast in the Windows Accessibility settings.
