Please try changing the registry key HKCU\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\10.0\Annots\cAnnots\cfreetext_003_afreetexttypewriter and change the opacity back to 1. This should reset the color to black.
Note: Please backup the registry before modifying it.

I'm wanting to use the "Actions" in Photoshop Elements 11. But when I get the actions box up, it is only showing a small list of effects to use. And no side bar. So I can't go any further. When I click on the little arrow at top and click on "load actions", I am only getting a box with empty space saying "No items match your search". The folder at the top does say "Actions". How do I get more effects? The tutorials that I've checked into all show a long list of effects in their box. Can anyone help?
To use the existing actions, try the following:
1. Open one of the Action Sets, in this example Special Effects is the Action Set, by pressing the small arrow beside the set name.
2. Then click on the name of the Action, in this example Faded Ink is the Action name.
3. Then press the Play button to run the action. -
Just installed mountain Lion. Viewing a pdf sent to me using preview and some colors are appearing BLACK, however when I view the same PDF in Acrobat they are perfect and what they are suppose to be. WHY would PREVIEW showing a different color?
Here's what I've found on the issue:
Pantone color definitions have changed (coinciding with CS6) — they are now "Pantone+" (I think that's what they're called). The "+" apparently means they're now LAB colors. Lab colors are not properly displayed in Preview (or in Finder previews) — they display as black (as far as I can tell, in all circumstances). I'm sure it's a tad more complicated than that, but that's the gist.
Now the bad news — nobody seems to know anything about a fix or workaround (unless you convert your PDFs to process — this might be a fix for sending to clients). It causes issues for me in AI files — being able to view them in the finder (with previews) is a HUGE time saver for my workflow... when they're all black, not so much.
In my chat with a director of product dev at Adobe, they placed the responsibility to fix on Apple (assuming Apple wants to support Pantone color definitions in their OS). -
I've imported some midi tracks, used the mixer to set pan, volume etc, but when I stop playback and restart it sets every midi track back to '0'. I've been using LE for years, this is a new one, any ideas?

that's because Logic reads the volume information out of the imported MIDI tracks and sets the volume fader according to this information. The MIDI information overrides volume settings you have done, so you have to identify the MIDI events that contain volume (or expression or pan or whatever) information and delete them. You can use the event list editor for this.

When using hotmail my email text appears blac, but when I get replies or look at the sent folder the emails are partly black text and then go grey, how do I stop this happening all the time please
Which email service provider are you using? You can install DropBox and share links to the files that way. When you snd to your self (cc or bcc) do the items show up? What file types and sizes are these attachments? Are you sending over WiFi or cellular connection? Try using more than one email account from a different provider (Gmail, yahoo, iCloud, etc) and see if it is email provider specific.

When using the Faces, they don't show. But if I click on the blank picture, they appear?
When I select Faces, the list of faces I had entered shows, but no pphotos show. When I select one of the Faces folders, the outline of the total number of pictures does show, but no photos.
Only when I click on the individual photo does it show.
Help!!!Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Include the option to rebuild the thumbnails. It can take 3 or 4 goes for this to work

Hello. Since my last firefox update, I have been unable to type an email - the box within which one would usually type does not appear when I press 'reply' to a received email, or press 'compose'. The email provider is '123-reg.co.uk. I have been using both firefox and the provider ['webfusion Ltd/webmail123] successfully for well over a year. The provider says it is a browser problem. I can still add an attachment to the email header, which successfully can be sent, but the recipient gets my standard email 'signature' with font messages and the attachment. Can anyone help? About two weeks ago she picked up her phone in the morning on her way to school when she noticed two cracks, both starting at the camera lens. Well we did and we got a reply from Motorola with a picture of the cracks saying this was customer abuse and that it is not covered under warranty. Even though they did not find any physical damage to back it up. Well I e-mailed them back and told them I did a little research and found pages of people having the same problems. Well I did not hear from them until I received a notice from Fed Ex that they were sending the phone back. NOT FIXED!!! I went to look up why and guess what there is no case open any more for the phone. It has been wiped clean. I put in the RMA # it comes back not found, I put in the ID #, the SN# and all comes back not found. Yet a day earlier all the info was there. I know there is a lot more people like me and all of you, but they just don't want to be bothered so they pay to have it fix, just to have it do it again. Unless they have found the problem and only fixing it on a customer pay only set up. I am furious and will not be recommending this phone to anyone. And to think I was considering this phone for my next up grade! NOT!!!!

How do I keep text from distorting whenever I resize the text box in Illustrator?
This has happened to me but that was over two years ago and cannot remember how I fixed it. I did not change any settings. It just happened when I rebooted my computer and opened up the file I am working on. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!What version of Illustrator are you using? Text boxes now have two modes. When you are looking at a selected text box, you should see an arm sticking out on the right side with a small circle at the end of it. Double-clicking on that will change between area type mode, where you can resize the box but not the text, or the other mode (sorry- forgot the official name) where you are changing the look of the type itself when resizing the box.

Why is the text box acting so weird??
I am trying to do something simple that I've done a million times in Photoshop CS5 -- create a text box with some text inside. But something is going wrong and I can't quite figure it out...
Notice how the text box is now much larger than the text displayed. I would like to make this text box as wide as the guide aligned with the "Donate" box.

Any idea what's going on here?Did the text come from an email or a word processor? Try cutting and pasting the text into a word processor. Opt for showing all the formatting marks, such as spaces, paragraphs, etc. Delete everything but the text and necessary spaces. Paste it back into a new text box created to the size you want with the text tool. It should now flow to the size of the box. The other option is to retype the text into a properly sized text box, making sure not to use the return button at all. I know this answer doesn't specifically address what is wrong with the box you show, but it should get the text into the shape you want.

I upgraded pages. Now when I begin a new document I automatically have a text box. How do I get rid of the text box so that it does not automatically appear. What settings do I need to change?
Perhaps you are loading a template that has a text block already on it.
You might try the blank template option and set that as your go to template in your preferences -
When using the "Fill & Sign PDF" feature, is there a way to stretch to size the text box on a specific area of the page...instead of the text box going on in one straight long line....? I'm not seeing there's an option or ability to do so, just wanting to confirm.
Improving the handling of multiple line text fields is in our plans, but for now, you will have to add manual carriage returns (Enter).

I am trying to use motion tracking to have text follow a section of the background.The text box follows the motion path, but the text just sits there. What am I doing wrong?
Motion basically looks at the the source footage and it's timing (in the timing section of the Inspector) when analyzing for tracking. Filters are basically ignored by the tracker. Retiming actions, like time re-mapping, or retiming behaviors that are applied before the tracker should be used by the tracker. Did you change the timing after doing the tracking? If so this would also require you to re-track the shot. Understanding that you found a workaround, describing the effects you applied would help to explain why you ran into problems.
