When we connect two bw systems to one R/3 system?

Hi ,
When we connect two bw systems to one R/3 system,
could you please exlain what is the imact to SAP and BW in terms of query performance, batch performance,Develoment ,Quality system, security,BW Support.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
kranthi

you can connect multiple BW to single R3 source system.
In the delta queue (RSA7 in source system), you have a field with the target system, so you don´t have problem if you have many target bw system, because the data selection is done by system field.
Challenge arises when you have multiple R3 feeding to single BW system and then you have to consolidate the master data say 0material fed from different source system R3 then you can consolidate data using consolidated infoobject.
The following components concatenate to the key of a consolidated InfoObject:
1)source system ID (two-character source system ID; permitted values are stored NW BI table RSSOURSYSTEM)
2)one blank character
3)backend object type (four-character backend object type; permitted values are stored BI table RSBWBEOTYP)
4)master data key value as stored in the source system
Note that the key of a consolidated InfoObject solely consists of non-integrated informations from the different source systems. Integration across source systems results from a (maybee repeatedly applied) data consolidation and cleasing process which unveils duplicate master data keys.
Hope it Helps

  • What happen when we connect Two PC with IP from Same subnets

Scenario 2nd : What happen when we connect Two PC with IP from Same subnets. PC1 -192.168.10.1/24 PC2 - 192.168.10.2 on a two different L2 Switch on different vlans which are connected via a LAN cable.
    All ports are access ports
Interview Question : No More Info.
    Pc1<SwA>------<SwB>PC2
Q.1 Will they communicate If yes what will be packet/frame flow.
Q.2 If not where will be the packet/frame drop. ? Why.
I need step by step if possible plz how the packet moves , vlan taggings n all internal works that happens behind .. plz
    thnx in advnce ....

    Hi Abhishesk,
The PCs should communicate each othet.
Since there is no trunk port involved, there is not tagging involved.
Since both the PCs are into the same subnet. PC1 will not need default gateway for the communication with PC2. So PC1 will start with sending ARP request for PC2 MAC address.
Since all the ports in SW1 are in same VLAN, the ARP should reach all ports including the switchport where SW2 is connected to.
Sw2 has got a complete different access port on ALL the switchports. Sw2 will receive the ARP from Sw1. Remember that there is no tagging for the frame. Hence Sw2 will again send the ARP packet to all the ports which belong to same VLAN wherein the packet is received. ie, Sw2 will send the ARP packet to all the ports in Sw2. PC2 will also get the the ARP.
The ARP reply will make it way back using the same logic.
Now both the PCs can start the actual packet exchange.

  • Connecting Two Power Supplies in one PC

    Hello there  :hypecrite:
Will someone help me on how to connect two Switching P/S in one PC (If it's possible)?
I tried using two P/S in my old PC and it's working just fine. However, the problem is that I cannot switch them on simultaneously because the one is connected directly to the motherboard and the other, I just used a simple switch to turn it on.
Also, please check my P/S for this PC if it's OK.
    Thank you and more POWER!!!
     :hypecrite:

    Hello again :hypecrite:
Thank you for your support guyz.  I would like to tell you that you are all correct.
I think it's time for me to stop fooling aroung, experimenting things, too.  And to trust the verdors instead.  I looked for the psu brands that you all mentioned and it turned out my pockets could still handle such a cost, eventhough it costs twice as much as the psu that I have right now, but as long as it's dependable.
And about the problem with my CPU's temperature that I posted last November 12, 2004 (MSI KT4A-V with S/PDIF out and Core center), AMD support center finally replied to me and told me that my temp is OK but not to go above 70C.
Below is my inquiry to AMD and their reply:
    My inquiry:
    Dear Sir:
I would like to ask what is the NORMAL operating temperature of Athlon XP 2400+ FSB 266 model 8?
When my PC is at idle, my CPU temp reading is 60C and during full load, it reaches to about 66C. It doesn't have any problems though (such as random reboot) but I'm a bit concerned of the temperature reading.  Some people say that it's a bit TOO HOT  for comfort. Still others say that it is OK.  What do you think?
I have read your post on MAXIMUM operating temperatures of Athlon XPs but not the recommended NORMAL operating temperatures.
And also when I turn  the BIOS CPU core voltage to AUTO mode the default is 1.575V. My friends said the minimal operating voltage of 2400+ is 1.650V. Is it OK to just leave it to default?
    Thank you very much

    The Reply:
    Dear Guillem,
Thank you for contacting Asian and Pacific AMD Technical Support Centre.
I can confirm that the temperatures ranges from 40° - 55° C  in moderate usage and with a higher workload around 65° C, but never over 70° C.
What the correct voltage is concerned there are three models of the Athlon XP 2400+. If you have the CPU with the OPN AXDA2400DUV3C the
voltage should be 1.60V otherwise it is 1.65V.
It seems your system would overheat dangerously when set to the right voltage. I would suggest, you do check if the heatsink /fan is installed
    properly.
You may find a different reading after upgrading your BIOS.
    * Please make sure to download the right BIOS version for your motherboard.
Then, please, make sure that your processor Athlon XP 2400+ is configured in BIOS as follows:
    -          FSB speed to 133MHz (It is a bidirecctional bus, the full speed would be 266)
    -          CPU multiplier of 15x
    -          CPU voltage of 1.65V (1.60V if OPN = AXDA2400DUV3C)
With these settings the clock frequency of the processor should be 2000 MHz.
And finally you can test the CPU on another system to establish if the processor or the motherboard is responsible for the problem . If no other system is
available to you then ask your retailer/reseller to test it for you.
Given the case that the processor is faulty, we inform you that the PIB processors (box processors) have 3 years warranty, whilst OEM processors (tray processors) have only one year. In both cases the first year is given by the reseller and the PIB processors second and third years are served directly by AMD.
If you have any further questions, please, do not hesitate to contact us again.

Yesterday, I increased the CPU voltage to 1.60V (from the default of 1.575) and my temp reading was reduced to 50C at idle (from an idle of 60C) and at full load to 60C (from a full load of 66C).  I was not expecting this though.  I was expecting that my CPU's temp will increase further.  But this is what happened. I guess the RIGHT THING should be the RIGHT THING.
Tomorrow, I will buy a new psu with the brands that you mentioned and I hope that my PC's stability and performance will increase further.
Again thank you very much for your support and all.

  • Connecting two USRP N210 to one computer

    Hi,
I am trying to connect two USRP N210's to one pc. I want to simulate a real-time communication p2p link and I must use some blocks which are only available in MATLAB Simulink, i.e. I will have to configure one USRP as transmitter and the other as the receiver and in the middle I will put some Simulink blocks. My question is very basic. How do I get the operating system/ MATLAB, etc. recognize both of them, i.e. the two different IP addresses. I wonder I should use a network card with two slots or two normal network cards? or is there a simpler solution?
FYI: I am very new to USRP's.
    Thanks,
    Reza

    Dear Reza,
Two possibilities : (a) use the so-called MIMO cable or (b) use two network interface cards.
In both cases, USRPs are differentiated through their IP adresses.
I'm not using Matlab so I'm not sure whether (a) works in this environment. Solution (b) will work.
Also note that for real-time processing our experience tells that the
quality of the NIC+driver makes a difference.
    Best wishes

  • Two portals (same SID), one R/3 System - changing portal client number?

We have one R/3 system but two portals.  One is EP6, the other is EP7 and is due to replace EP6.  On installation of version 7.0 we had to keep the SID the same on both portals.
Now we are having trouble with SSO into R/3 as the ACL in STRUSTSSO2 will only accept one unique SID with client number of 000.  However it does seem to accept the same SID but different client number.
My question is, is there a way to change one portal generating the verify.der certificate using something other than default 000 client number?
    Is this messy?
    thanks.
    SiB

    Hi Simon,
    > is there a way to change one portal generating the verify.der certificate using
    > something other than default 000 client number
    > Is this messy?
There is a way and it is absolutely not messy but the supported way; you just have to set the UME property "login.ticket_client" to some different value than "000" on the portal server in question (and of course you have to use this value on the ACL in the SSO target system).
    Also see https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/wiki?path=/display/ep/singleSign-Onand+Cookies& -- checklist number 3 and http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/e2/f71940d4558f5ce10000000a155106/frameset.htm
I have just done this on my actual project, it's quite straight forward. Remember to restart the portal WAS after changing the value!
    Hope it helps

  • Two BW systems to one R/3 system

    Hi,
We have connected two BW systems to R/3. The physical connection is working as it should, but we have problems loading data. The message we got is to do with basic idoc type "BW unknown in source system".
Can anybody tell me what to do?
    Regards,
    Harald

    Hi
Is the 2 BW systems identical?
if they are check your midlewear (usually a Basis task).
If the 2 BW sys are not the same then u need to check the compatibility between R3 and the failing BW (could be Plug in's or SP's).

  • Connecting two mobile to the one bluetooth car kit...

Is it possible to connect two mobile phones to the same bluetooth car kit at the same time?

I dont think its possible, i may be wrong, but imagine if both phones were connected to the car kit and they both got a phone call, there is no way it would work as it would not know what phone to connect.
So i dont think its possible.

  • Multiple CRM systems to one R/3 system

    Hi all,
Is it possible to connect Two CRM systems to the same R/3 system?
My gut feeling is, it is impossible to do that. Am I correct or is there a way to do it.
Any help will be highly appreciated...
    Thanks
    Jothi

    Hi,
I it is very much possible to do this. SAP provides the functionality in the form of Multiple Backend Exchange feature. Please refer to SAP Note 853430 and also the link http://service.sap.com/crm-mep.
Also you can find a presentation in the link https://websmp107.sap-ag.de/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=01100035870000579336&_SCENARIO=01100035870000000112&_OBJECT=011000358700002029062003E.

  • Multiple CRM system with one R/3 system, possible?

    Dear all,
I wanna see if multiple CRM systems can hook up to one R/3 system.  My hunch is that this is not possible, because information exists in table such as R/3 CRMKUNNR for BP data would not be able to distinguish which system an entry would need to send to for syncing.
    Am I right?
    Thanks,
    Kirby

    Hi,
Well there is also the MDM (Master Data Management) application with SAP Netweaver. Which actually makes things a lot easier with a number of CRM installations with multiple R/3 instances.
Maybe you would also like to do some read up on MDM.
    Thanks, Debasish

  • Connecting two BI systems to one R/3 system

    Hi Experts,
We are upgrading our BW 3.x to 7. This activity we are doing on a sandbox server. Now for integration testing we want to connect this BI sandbox to R3 QA system. RFC destination parameters are maintained in both the systems.
Now when we go for source system Restore option from DW workbench, it pops up with message -
"Connection AA is used in the ARQ100 (R/3 QA) source system as a connection ABQ100 (BI QA).
Do you want to delete this connection in the source system? Connection is restored after it has been deleted successfully."
I checked in RSBASIDOC table in R3 QA system, there exists this entry to ABQ100.
My question is - without touching the R/3 QA -> BI QA connection, can I create a connection between R/3 QA & BI sandbox? & How?
or Can we create new connection similar to AA for this new BI sandbox system?
I have already gone thru SAP Note - 775568, but it does not mention anything related to my scenario.
    So appreciate help from experts.
    Regards,
    Vikram.

    Hi WernerS,
    Thanks for the reply.
Both the BI systems have diff Logical Sys names. And at this time I am not concerned about delta.
But as I mentioned earlier, while trying to restore source system from new BI sandbox server, it is asking to delete the connection from R/3 QA to BI QA which I dont want.
My question is How to establish this new connection without disturbing the existing R3 QA to BI QA connection.
    Regards,
    Vikram.

  • Connecting two large FAT32 drives - one doesn't mount

I have two WD 2TB HDDs formatted as FAT32. One is in a 4-bay external box connected via eSATA, the other in a WD case connected via USB. My computer is a Powermac Dual G5 2.0GHz running 10.4.11
Connecting either box individually leads to no problems, i.e. volume mounts and is available for use. So I have confidence in the formatting, drives and cables.
However when I try to connect both at the same time, only one loads correctly (the eSATA one as it loads quicker). The USB drive can be seen by Disk Utility but the volume is greyed out and using the Mount button does nothing - though on some occassions it asks for administrator name and password (entering these does nothing).
If I startup with only the USB connected then it loads ok but if I then connect the eSATA I have the same issue but with the eSATA drive volume greyed out.
Can OSX mount multiple FAT32 drives?
    Cheers
    Nick

USB External drive is a 2TB Western Digital 3.5" Elements with external power supply.
eSATA box is a 4-bay ICYBOX unit with 2TB Western Digital drive. ICYBOX has its external own power supply.
As both drives are externally powered rather than bus powered I wouldn't think it is a power problem.
TheICYBOX also has USB connection and the same occurs via that, so I don'tthink it is eSATA. I've also put the drive into another eSATA case withsame issue, so I don' think it is the ICYBOX.
Finally,I've tried with another external 1TB Western Digital 2.5" Elementsdrive; same issue, drive in eSATA box mounts, external drive doesn't.
From memory I've been able to simultaneously mountthe ICYBOX and a 320GB Western Digital 2.5" Elements drive, but I'llcheck that again (hence my thought about ht eproblem being due to largeFAT32 drives)
    Cheers
    Nick

  • Connecting Two webapplication servers to one backend

    Hi Gurus,
We are using MAM 3.0 version on SAP Netweaver 7.0. Can we connect one more Webapplication server  parallely with exising server to the samebackend. Two webapplication servers in parallely with one backend. Is this possible? could you please give us some documents so that it would be very helpful for us.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Satish

    Hi Domas,
As pointed our by Holger, this is supported for inbound flows where your use case is to read (pull) some information from SAP into SharePoint. But use cases like reporting and workflow which publishes some items in SharePoint you cannot have the same ECC system.
But if you intention is only for DEV landscape setup and want to save a VM image and still want to support reporting & WF scenarios, then you could also create a new client which is the copy of your existing clients in the same ECC system.
Since logical port configurations are client specific you could practically connect same ECC system (but 2 diff clients) to 2 gateway systems.
    Thanks,
    Girimurugan

  • Connecting two time capsules on one router

I have 2 TCs, TC1 will be used upstairs, TC2 downstairs.  Both connected by cable to Netgear router.  TCs will have different names.  Can I set up each independently, do I need to bridge one?  Any problems with possible interference?  The single strength from TC1 can be seen downstairs but starts to fade quickly as my wife moves her laptop around house.

1). Would my solution be to follow the Airport Utility set up instructions to 'add to network' the new device?
When you first power up the new device and open AirPort Utility, choose the new device and select the "join" option, then you will be given an option to "extend" the wireless network in a later step during the configuration.
2). Could I then run my iTunes library from either the new Extreme's external HD, or the new TC's connected external HD?
Yes, you could move the iTunes library to the new drive and then "point" the iTunes application to the new location. I assume that you already have a backup of the library, correct?
If you are planning to use Time Machine to backup your Macs, keep in mind that Time Machine backups to a drive attached to the USB port on the AirPort Extreme are not supported, so the Time Capsule would be the recommended device if you plan to use Time Machine.
Also keep in mind that if you move the iTunes library to the Time Capsule, Time Machine will not be able to backup the library since it is already on the Time Capsule.

  • Can I connect two 4k TVs and one additional monitor via DVI to my MacPro (late 2013)?

    Can I connect the following?
    - 4k TV via HDMI
    - 4k TV via Mini DisplayPort with an HDMI adapter
    - DVI monitor with 2560x1440 resolution

I saw this page before but I am not 100 % sure if I interprete the statements correctly. For example, it is stated that "Two HDMI (HD or 4K) devices" are supported. When reading only this, it seems that the configuration in my question is not supported. However, they also wrote:
"Mac Pro supports a total of two DVI or HDMI displays when connected via the built-in HDMI port or using the Apple Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter. To connect additional DVI displays, use an active DVI adapter such as the Apple Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI adapter. You can connect up to six active adapter DVI displays. This requires a powered USB hub since Mac Pro offers four USB ports and you will need six to connect them all."
Does this mean that I can also attach additional 4k HDMI TVs (and not just DVI displays)?
