When will BIOS bugfix be released?

Dear Lenovo,
I have waited for quite some time to have the X60/s RICOH-bug fixed. As you are aware, the X60/s-series suffers from the same problem that the X61/s-series suffered from i.e. extremely poor performance (i.e. very high cpu usage and very low transfer rates) when attaching e.g. SATA drives through the Cardbus port. The reason for this problem is a faulty BIOS implementation by Lenovo of the RICOH chip (which controls the Cardbus port and the SD-port among other things).
X61/s-users have been very fortunate to have their problems addressed in a BIOS update earlier this year and saw six-fold increase in transfer speeds.

•    (New) Security function was enhanced.
•    (New) Firmware update of Intel AMT ME.
•    (Fix) Data transmission speed of CardBus and 1394 device gets slow.
As the problems with the RICOH controller has been admitted by Lenovo to be Lenovo’s faulty implementation, I am getting frustrated that there has still not been a BIOS fix released for the X60/s-series.
When can we X60/s-users expect to have the same error corrected that Lenovo corrected for the X61/s-users earlier this year?

Installing the BIOS 1.2.2 released Jan 8, 2009 on my X61T did not solve the performance problem.
Does anyone know a solution?

The new BIOS 1.2.2. claims to have solved the eSATA performance problem:
"(Fix) The computer with RICOH CardBus Controller has slow data transfer performance."

3) And install first CommonModules, then PowerSaver, then HotKey for restore NB100'a hotkey functionality.
4) Reboot.
You will get new tray icon for controlling power and brightness, and brightness settings won't reset after start.
P.S. Windows 7 don't need this files and works fine from scratch :)

I'm not clear what you meant by integrating FP11 to your project. What specifically are you looking for?

When will iTunes 11 be released?

I have been waiting since the announcement and they stated it will be released in late October now its 23rd Oct and still no release. Does anyone know when it will actually be intially released?

I was just getting ready to start a discussion on this same subject. Perhaps they were waiting until after Windows 8 launched which was officially October 26th (which I am not thrilled with 8 at all). Maybe 8 is good for their own tablet but for a notebook, they seem to be trying to emulate apple by calling their programs "apps" and it is like hide and seek trying to find anything... not to mention outdated drivers...
Anyway, I hope they keep the "October" date of which is only 4 more days.
Or, since some of the flubs of IOS 6 it may be delayed I hope for the release but the silence is not a good sign.

hello Dubrovsky, the next major ESR version will be firefox 31, which is going to be released on july 22nd. automatic updates for ESR users on the current 24-brach to 31 will be starting mid-october.
so you should test the code against firefox 31, which is currently in the nightly stadium: nightly.mozilla.org

When will face time be release over 3g?

When will face time be realsed for use over 3G as this would be really useful.
Having only recently been given the new ipad 3 for my birthday, I wanted to use the face time facility when I visited a relative in hospital becuase my husband could not attend with me. But because the hospital did not have wi-fi i could not use the face time service which really dissapointed both my relative and my husband.
I have tried using Skype as a replacement as this system does work over wi-fi and 3G, but unfortunately they have problems of their own.

Okay. I really don't post anything here but I think this was the best place for this question. If not sorry.
As of before all of iOS updates have been in the morning at 10 I think. Will this year be different. I wouldn't mind updating my iPhone at 12:00 am. In fact that's the time I'll most likely update anyway because of busy schedule. So what do you guys think? Will be released at midnight(12:00am) or later in mid morning (10:00am)??

"Us guys" are all over the world, and just users like yourself. We have no idea what time it will be released. Here's an idea: download it the next day, at the most convenient time for yourself, and when the servers have stopped crashing. The chances are your life should continue long enough without iOS 5 for this to be possible.

When will Verizon/Motorola release a DVR with MORE STORAGE?!?! This is pathetic

Just thought I would repost a letter I sent to verizon beggin g for more DVR storage, as 160 GB of storage is pathetic, and laughable whne I can buy a 2 TB drvie for $100. I realize it is Motorola's fault we are locked to 160 GB at the moment, but Verizon is the one who chose them as a vendor, so this is hardly an excuse. Motorola should be able to turn on the USB port on the box for additional storage at the very least. Anyway, here's my letter, posted out of desperation and frustration more so than expecting any great results.
"Hello. I am anxiously wondering when you plan to offer larger hard drive capacities in your DVRs. We have FiOS now and are happy with the service, however, the fact that the devices can only hold 20 hours of HD content is pathetic, and has us looking to switch back to Dish Network, who allow you to use external hard drives via the USB port on the back of the receivers to add record time. We don't have the kind of lives where we can watch TV every night, so we often have to wait until we can find time to go through our favorite shows, and 20 hours cannot hold more than 1 or 2 episodes of any series with the 10 or so shows we enjoy watching in HD. I realize Motorola makes the boxes and motorla ultimately controls the capacity, but Verizon MUST have some pull here, and if not, you should really look into buying a company that makes boxes and move the operation in house for the sake of keeping customers. Give that a 2 Terabyte drive that can hold over 12 times the amount of shows as the pathetic 120 GB drive in my recorder can be bought at the local best buy for $100, I am sure a large company such as yourself could pick them up for far less. PLEASE make increasing the storage of the DVRs a TOP priority, and please let us customers know your plans with regards to storage in the near future. The capacity has not increased in years, despite more and more HD TV customers signing on, and the number of HD stations tripling. Thank you "

That IS good news. We're constantly juggling and recording in SD because of the low storage capacity in the Motorola unit. Any idea on the time frame for the new DVR and will current subscribers be able to upgrade? I was just about to upgrade our old Series 2 Tivo to Series 3 HD and then do the home-upgrade on that to 1.5TB.
