When will these be in stores to view size...not to purchase?

Since you can pre-order on the 12th, I thought they might have samples before then?

    The release of each generation of iPhone will be roughly (or, no shorte than) an year.  iPhone 4S is coming out this week, you're not going to see the next one before Q4 2012, no matter what it is called.
    Wait as long as you want, for the iPhne 5 or 6 or whatever, more than likely the next model will be available in year 2012, but March and November are very different, the chances is you're not likely to see it until late 2012, and IMHHO, it is really nonsense to talk about "the next iPhone" while the latest one is not even available on the market yet.

    surely they can sell ip4 without contract but do you have an account AT&T? Because I believe you still need an account with AT&T in order to buy the phone. And even if you do buy it without contract, your still locked to AT&T.
    I suggest getting the ipod touch instead.

    We have no idea when, or if, spoken directions will ever be added to the iPhone as a default feature. There are, however, other apps available from third-party developers that provide turn-by-turn directions.

    Yeah, that is what I was afraid of. The same thing happened when they launched the iPad I heard. My phone AND my sim is broken now and I was waiting for the iPhone 4. Now I'll have to use a borrowed phone for such a long time... :'(
