Where are my MTS file thumbnails?

I usually use Sony Vegas pro to do my editing of video.  I often gave used the Elements Organizer to rename the cameras numbered clips to something more meaningful before I start.  I have opened all of my holiday pictures into Organized & I can see the thumbnails for all formats used on the holiday except for the .MTS 1920x1080.   I can see the thumbnails in all other programs like Windows Explorer to Sony Vegas.
Where are the thumbnails & how do I get them to display?
Thanks in advance

You don't say which version of the Elements Organizer you're using or what operating system you're working on, but they can make a difference which files display thumbnails in the Organizer.
Also, you do want to ensure you have the latest version of Quicktime from Apple.
And there are some components that only become activated when you first use them in a Premiere Elements project. In other words, if you're doing all of your editing in Vegas, you're not giving Premiere Elements a chance to download the components necessary to display .mts files in the Organizer. Try starting a Premiere Elements project and adding the .mts file as the first clip on Video 1. This will trigger the program to download the .mts components.

  • Where are the stamps files with their crazy names located in the Macintosh

    Hey
I am looking for the files stamps with those crazy names. I work on a iMac OS X Tiger.
I have created a stamp and found the corresponding file in "acrobat user data" but I want to create a dynamic stamp.
I have found this tutorial :
    http://www.acrobatusers.com/tutorials/2007/custom_dynamic_stamp/
very helpfull but I am unable to find the dynamic file they mention in this tutorial.
I would like to know where are located the files, whith they coded names, corresponding to the models of stamps given by acrobat. Where are they located in the Macintosh ? I can't find them.

for the existing stamps, go to where Acrobat has been installed, right-click or ctrl-click the Acrobat package and select 'Show package contents'.
The browse to the following folder assuming you're using the English version of Acrobat:
    Contents/Plug-ins/Comments.acroplugin/Stamps/ENU/

  • Where are my important files located in Leopard 10.5?

I had an old file from apple titled "Where are my important files located?" which applied to 10.3. I could not find this same doc for 10.5. It had the location of all the important files for safari, mail, address book, etc. and was handy when I was mirgrating files or backing up or so forth. Is there now an updated file/doc for this with regards to 10.5 Leopard? Or is every important file's location still located in the same location? Thanks

    Hi Teal,
I'm a big "foggy" on a lot of the OS X 10.3 "Panther" stuff but I think you'll find OS X 10.5 to be pretty similar in most regards.
As far as your user information, everything related to your user will be in the /Users/username location. The "Library" folder is probably the most important when it comes to application related data such as Safari, Mail, Address Book, iCal, etc. Some applications will have a folder directly inside the library folder (/Users/Username/Library/ApplicationName) and some will store data in the Application Support folder (/Users/Username/Library/Application Support/ApplicationName)
The important thing, is that all of your user data is stored in the /Users/Username location that will often be represented by a "House" icon when signed into that user.
Where it gets a little tricky, is some applications will store data in the /Users/Shared location and the /Library location. So if you ever do a total system migration there's a possibility you'll need to reinstall some applications. A Time Machine backup can assist with system migrations as it does a full and complete backup of your HD, including the User's home folder.

  • Where are the audio files located?

You know how when your video source is missing, it shows that ! with a yellow triangle around it? Then, when you hover over the !, it shows you where iMovie expected to find the video, and then you can just move the video there and it's fixed. But for audio, it doesn't show you where it is supposed to be located when you hover over the ! in the audio file (music green bar).
So, where are the music files supposed to be located so that it can find them?
    Thanks!

To the best of my knowledge, iMovie simply links to the music file from wherever it is located in your system. That could be the iTunes Library, your Desktop, an external drive, or other places. So if you move the music to a different location, I assume that iMovie will lose track of it. iMovie doesn't actually import the music to the project - it's just referencing it (as far as I'm aware).
If you know the name of the track (or tracks, or artists), try doing a search both within iTunes and on your hard drive using Spotlight. If found, the best solution is probably to drag it again into your project, then do the necessary edits if applicable.
Note that, in iMovie the music tracks are identified by song name - it's shown at the beginning of the green audio bar. So the songs shouldn't be too difficult to track down. It's just a pain having to re-instate them.

  • Where are the Physical Files of Portal App (Forms,Reports, etc)

    Hi..
We are developing our portal using Oracle Portal..
We use the Portal form, report, link, url, dynamic page etc in our development.
    The case is,
Our QA want to restrict the access to the file (version control).
So, they want to do a backup/copy of the development files (form, report, dynamic page etc..) and if there are changes to the portal, they want to use the backup as the development files.
    The problem is,
we not sure where the files are..
We don't know where the forms, report, dynamic page are restored and what are they (.jsp?.cvf?.java?.fmb?.rdf?)
    Can anybody help?
p/s Fyi,we also use jsp..so, we can see the physical files..e.g. index.jsp,login.jsp....but for the portal form, report, link????Where are their physical files?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
Portal Application components do not have any physical files. It is available as a package in the database. You can see it in the manage component screen. Clicking on the package body link will show you the whole package. You can copy this into a .SQL file and compile it later whenever you want, in the schema where the application is built.
    Hope that helps.
    Thanks,
    Sharmila

  • Scratch Disc Full: Where are the temp files kept?

    Hi,
I just tried to open a few of very large image files (9GB in total) and when I did I got the message "scratch discs full". Now I understand why that happened, but it seems to have eaten a whole load of disc space that wont come back. I've since closed photoshop, restarted my Mac, etc. but about 10 GB is still used up where it wasn't before. I can't locate any temp files anywhere (prefs only tells me the scratch disc is my Mac HD, not which folders it's in). Can anyone help me with this? Where are Ps temp files usually located on a Mac? I need those 10GB back!
    Mac OSX running Photoshop CS3
    Thank you!

Hi again Chris (or anyone else who cares to contribute),
My Mac's HD space continued to disappear and I have now, finally, located the cause (I think). I checked the system log (Stystem Profiler/Software/Logs/system.log) which was itself 4.5 GB in size (too large I think?). However, when I went to the file location (/var/log/system.log) I also noticed that the "asl" folder (in the same folder as the system log) was 20 GB in size!! Having read a few forum posts about similar issues, I took the risk of deleting both the system.log and the majority of files in the asl folder. This seems to have worked a treat (I now have 25GB returned to me).
As I said in my original post, this all started happening when I opened a few very big Photoshop docs (ones with layers). Do you have any idea what caused / is causing this to happen? I haven't opened Photoshop since deleting the asl files, but new ones still seem to be appearing in the asl folder. They are tiny (100KB at most) but I'm a little concerned I haven't fixed the problem. Any suggestions?
I can't see why new asl files would be appearing when I haven't even opened Photoshop.
    I'm running on OS 10.5.8
    Many thanks,
    Matt
P.S. By the way, the size of the system.log seemed to be caused by a repeated message regarding RealPlayer, which I assume is unconnected, but I have included it below just in case (I've removed RealPlayer from my Mac to see if that helps, but the asl files still seem to be appearing):
Jul 28 18:16:07 localhost RealPlayer Downloader[299]: Failed to create window context device
    Jul 28 18:16:09: --- last message repeated 1 time ---
