Where are the instructions about how to upgrade to Firefox 5?

Where are the instructions about how to upgrade to Firefox 5?
I have FF v4 and want to upgrade to v5. But despite my searching, I cannot find any instructions on how to upgrade. Why do S/W developers for the most part fail to provide this essential information?
Specifically, does one do an in-place upgrade (install to existing v4 directory)? If so, are all the user's settings/ preferences/ configurations/ bookmarks/etc. preserved? Or does one install to a new directory? If that is the case, how does one then incorporate their former customizations into the new install? Also, what happens to add-ons, plug-ins, etc.
Install instructions, including upgrade instructions, should be readily available on the same page where the download link is!
Please advise. I'm anxious to upgrade, but without this basic information, I will not feel comfortable in doing so.

In Firefox 4 and later you can go to Help > About Firefox to check for updates and update.<br />
You can update Firefox in the same installation folder.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder] and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

  • Where are the guidelines for how to interface customized data acquisition equipment to LabVIEW?

I have a need to do some very specialized data acquisition that may require building special hardware. I would still like to use LabVIEW as the front end and perhaps even carry portions of the interface over into the final product. However, I cannot find the documentation. Where is that kept? I have seen references to a number of generic protocols, without any links back to the details, that may be suitable. The data is high bandwidth, but bursty with sampling rates up to 40 MHz and events that last about 100 milliseconds. Can anyone recommend which of the various methods would best suit this application?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Once you have figured out your communication bus, it is just a matter of how to format your commands and data.  You will need to do this regardless of programming language you choose.  Formating the data is quite simple in LabVIEW.  You just have to write the data to the right thing.
Quickly based on the limited parameters you have given us, I would go with an Ethernet connection.  I'm not completely sure if the Ethernet bus will be able to handle your bandwidth, though.  If not, then you will need to go to a PCIe or PXIe connection.

  • WHERE ARE THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE FUNCTIONS ON THE NANO PLUS?

You know this is a nice device, but there is no instruction manual explaining the 40 plus functions of this device, AND TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE THERE IS NO TUTORIAL ON THIS SITE , FOR THE NANO PLUS, GOTO THE NANOPLUS PAGE, HIT TUTORIAL OR HOW TO AND YOU GET A MANUAL FOR THE 20 GIG BIG SCREEN UNIT, THANKS FOR NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
?NOW TRY TO GET TO CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SEE HOW HARD IT IS TO ENTER YOUR PRODUCT INFO ON THE DROP DOWN, NO PHONE CALLS, NO EMAILS AND NO ONE TO EXPLAIN WHAT THE GAZILLION FUNCTONS ARE ON THIS DEVICE, YOU KNOW ONE WOULD HAVE A HARD TIME REFERING SUCH A PRODUCT TO A FRIEND, WHEN THE COMPANY SEEMS SO SECRETIVE ABOUT A SIMPLE INSTRUCTION MANUAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks but uhm I am using the msntv2 and after the mp3 drop down, then the Zen drop down, THERE IS A BLANK DROP DOWN WHICH CANNOT BE FILLED IN WITH THE PRODUCT #(FL008)
you know it would be alot simpler to make the info simpler to get since there is no TANGIBLE paper instruction manual provided with this product to explain all of the many functions that come up on the screen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
?but if someone can tell me how I can access the manual on this or any other site, I wont have to junk
this complicated gizmo and get an Ipod

  • Where are the instructions for adhoc distribution??

Is it not available to individual developer program? My program portal shows nothing about it. Im not even sure where to start. I can deploy to my own test iphone just fine. Just no idea how to use ad hoc. Any hints?

ok thank you. I missed the ad hoc radio button in the Distribution Provisioning Profile, no wonder I was lost. One question, when I tried to create the ad hoc provisioning profile, it wont detect my certificate. Could it be because it is already associated with my other profile (the app store one). So I should delete that profile?

  • Where are the drivers and how come my monitor works without them?

    Hey folks!
I thought the drivers were all in the kernel, but then again I always have to install the Intel/Nvidia/whatever drivers to get my graphic card/chip working, but that's only if I want to run X. So how come I can see the console text displayed before that, at various resolutions (which I can select in GRUB)? How can anything be displayed before I've installed a graphics driver...? What kind of driver is used before that? Curious.
    Thanks in advance.

Oh I see. Just like the graphics in the installation process then? What about the two Archlinux logotypes at boot? Could they for instance be displayed at the login prompt as well?
Most certainly. In fact, I tried a distro a few years back which actually had a penguin permanently in the background of the console as sort of a wallpaper.
BTW, you have 2 Arch logos because you either have 2 cpu's, 2 cores, or hyper-threading.

  • HT201272 Where are the audiobooks and how do I get them back?

I can't find the audiobooks I have deleted from my iPhone and iPad to download again. Can anyone explain how to do this?

Audiobooks are currently a one-time only download from the store. Do you have copies of them in the Books part of your computer's iTunes library and/or on a backup ?  If not and they are still in the store, then you can try contacting iTunes and see if they will grant you a re-download : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

  • I cannot print from iPhoto 9.2.1  It says that there are no "themes" installed. Where are the "themes" and how do I install them?

I have 'upgraded' to iPhoto 9.2.1 and now cannot print my photos. It says that "this feature is unavailable" because there are no "themes" installed. Themes? I just want to print one of the 6,000 photos I never had problems printing before.

    Yes.
    To re-install iPhoto
    1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2a: On 10.5:  Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows:  In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
    /var/db/receipts/
    2c: on 10.7 they're at
    /private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
    3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
If you purchased it on the App Store or have a Recent Mac you can find it in your Purchases List.

  • Here are the instructions on how to fix the newest update problem with the .dll error message:, Here are the instructions on how to fix the newest update problem with the .dll error message:

Go to My Computer, Uninstall Programs, and uninstall in this exact order :
          Itunes
          Apples Software Update
         Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour (my system required a reboot on this one)
         Apple Application Support
Reboot your computer, go to the official Itunes website (make sure it's the Apple Itunes Website and not some other one!), and reinstall Itunes.
I got the same .dll error message after the reinstall, but my Itunes was downloaded successfully and I was able to Sync my phone. : )
Good luck to you and God Bless!
(Sad that we have to come to the Discussion Forum to figure this all out instead of Apple taking care of their business and helping us out, huh?)

Someone else said they did a system restore to a previous update, and then a java update and that worked for them, saying they were going to stick with the earlier version of itunes until they get the bugs out of the new one.  I t tried restores and that didn't work for me either, but maybe it will work for you.  Good luck and I hope you get it working soon..

  • Want to sync a 3Gs phone, where are the instructions

I want to unlock a 3Gs and use put it online with At&t. I was told to download Itunes and follow instructions. Can't find them.

Every 3GS was made for AT&T if I remember correctly, so you won't need to unlock it.   Unless of course you bought one from overseas.

Want to import clips from existing iMHD files, but can't find them. Where are the clips, and how do I import them into a new movie?

    rick has a mighty mouse
    ctrl-click is the same....
    BUT!
be careful, you play with fire.... the iMprojects are for good reason in these .pkgs you can destroy your iM project by doing "something" wrong.....
why don't you just export from iM? the save dialog has a "selection only" feature... select clip, export.

  • Where are the actual Aperture files located? Only in the application? I am transitioning to Lightroom and would like to only move some of the files. Advice appreciated. Also anyone know how to transfer in with edits?

Where are the actual Aperture files located? Only in the application? I am transitioning to Lightroom and would like to only move some of the files. Advice appreciated. Also anyone know how to transfer in with edits? Using iMac, OS X, most recent Aperture and Lightroom 5.7 with plugin for Aperture.

    Define "the Aperture files".
    Read this concise guide.
The files you imported into an Aperture Library can be exported (at any time, and repeatedly) using the command "File ▹ Export ▹ Originals".  Your Originals are never altered.  What went in is what comes out.
Adjustments and changes to the metadata that you made since creating an Image in Aperture by importing a file are saved to a text file.  This file is combined, on-the-fly, with the Original to create the Image that you see in Aperture.  There is no file saved to disk that is the full-size Image.  Thumbnails are saved, and Previews are saved.  These are JPG files, almost always smaller than the Original.  They are not substitutes for the Image for the use you have.
When you need a file of an Image to use in another program, you export the Image from Aperture.  "Export" means "Make me a file of this Image according to these file specs I'm providing".  The way to get files of your adjusted Images is simple:  create them by exporting.  Specify "Original size", and use a loss-less image-file format (e.g. TIFF 16-bit) if you want to retain as much visual information as possible.
Search the Web for information about transitioning from Aperture to Lightroom.  Note that I say "transitioning".  You cannot move a database from one format to another without significant changes, and likely some loss of information.  Adobe provides a tool and some instructions.  I strongly recommend working out the process step-by-step, and then proceeding with first a few Images, then a bushel-ful, and stopping to use the first few, the the bushel-ful, before committing your entire collection to the process.
As always, never use any computer file without having a back-up.
We have seen mixed reports here of the success of the LR tool that creates a LR database from your Aperture database.
If you want to carefully define the process, and test and refine it, use the excellent process-development, analysis, and execution program inShort.
Sadly, there is not and can never be a good, thorough re-positioning of the digital assets in your Aperture Library to become digital assets in a LR database.  Just as a metaphor for any user contemplating transitioning to another digital asset manager:  that would be like digging up a house in one country, planting it in a hole in another country, and expecting to be able to use the toilet and the sinks, turn on the lights, cook dinner, and sleep soundly.

    Dear Doron
Solution Manager system will never physically participate in the upgrade of a Netweaver Server. It will only help you to find the right files via the maintenance optimizer. Also if you want to develop / use a Project for your upgrade you could use the upgrade roadmap and then use Solution Manager as a Project Management tool for the upgrade.
Besides this there will be no guide available for "upgrading" a system, since the upgrade roadmap is generic and the maintenance optimizer feature is isolated from the roadmap. You will have to follow the upgrade guides available on
    http://service.sap.com/instguides.
Hope that this answers your query.

    Amit
