  • I have no DVD drive on my computer.  Where are the downloads located?

I received discs for Photoshop elements & premier elements 12 with my new camera but my computer doesn't have a DVD drive.  I assumed it would be no big deal to download them from the Internet...wrong.  .I have serial numbers to install Photoshop but I cannot find where the downloads are located.  I find plenty of "trial" downloads but I should not have to pay for a product I already have.  Can anyone help me out there in cyber-land?  Adobe has no information on the website and I am unable to locate a live person.  So, that is you!  Hey live person, can you help this little ol lady?  Thank you so much!!

I am okay with a computer but not a geek that is for sure!
I downloaded the assistant and nothing happened.  I went to the site you so kindly suggested and started the download, and when I tried to apply it to the computer it said elements were missing.  I deleted the download and then started again.  Right now it is once again downloading the assistant.

    Thanks for the update.
What was the problem...the length of time for the download or just getting any download at all?
If necessary, I will go step by step with you through the tryout download from Adobe. But, the purchase of a USB external DVD/CD burner for your computer is a good idea and investment.
If you do the shopping for this, check out how many connections are necessary for it to the computer....none, one, or two...check out the length of the USB cable.
Please let us know how we can help. But, your mentioned place of purchase has a squad who should be able to help your with the purchase.
Thanks. Please update us on your progress when your schedule permits.

  • Where are the official microsoft ISO's for windows 10 preview?

    Hi All,
Where are the official Microsoft ISO's for Windows 10,  10051 and 10056 preview?   They are all over the web, but I don't trust them unless they comes from Microsoft itself.
    Many thanks,
    -T

    To ToddAndMargo,
RE : Is there a way to manually go to Windows Updates and manually download a particular file
No. All updates will be downloaded and installed automatically. You don't get to choose which to install and which to decline.
RE : And I can't find 10049's ISO either (from Microsoft).
As of now, the only most current ISO available is for build 10041. Build 10049 ISO is not yet available.
When build 10049 is released from Slow ring, usually it is also the time its ISO will be released.
    RE: ESD file. How?
One cannot download an esd file of build 10049 from Windows Update.
You download and install the entire build 10049 via Windows Update. When it is done, you can then find its Installed.esd file from RecoveryImage folder and use it to manually create an ISO fie. You will need a specific program to create an ISO from Esd.
You might ask " why do I need an ISO fie if the operating system is already installed ?"
Some users are advocates of "clean install". They prefer clean install over upgrade install. Clean install can be done by burning the ISO file into a bootable DVD or an USB with at least 4 GB capacity and use it to install.
You can also use the same media and install in another compatible computer.
It can also serve as an emergency backup incase you need to reinstall.

  • Do you send the real traffic or a copy when you are using the CWS service and where are the datacenters located ?

Hi, when you redirect traffic to the CWS service for scanning, do you redirect the real traffic this way or is it a mirrored copy of the traffic ?
If all traffic is redirected to the Cloud, where are the Cisco datacenters located. Good to know I guess, since you don't want to avoid to much of latency

  • Where are the PLAYLIST and EQ preferences for iTunes located?

Somehow I lost my iTunes Playlist when I moved the audio files to another hard drive on the same computer. Does anyone know where the PLAYLIST and EQ preferences for iTunes located on a Mac? Also can I make a copy or backup of those preferences? Thanks!

There are no Playlist Preferences - playlists are saved into the iTunes Library database file (what we call "the Library" in these forums).
There is however a com.apple.iTunes.eq.plist file - it's in the ~user/Library/Preferences folder. Individual EQs for your tracks are stored in the iTunes Library file.

  • Where are the settings located to set the path for CFC Components in CF9?

I have 2 coldfusion 9.0.1 instances running as separate windows services and they are some how cross referenced to one another. I need to fix this and I know it is just a matter of repairing a setting somewhere that is not readily available in the CFAdmin page and does not appear to be in any of the files located under the instances CFIDE and WEB-INF directories. Any help would be highly appreciated.

You can map a path to components in each instance application.cfc.  this.mapping["/components"] = "C:\ColdFusion9\wwwroot\sitename\components\"; for example.

  • Where are the dictionaries located for CS3?

    Mine seem to have disappeared.

    Dave
What is it you want to do with the dictionaries? You are not supposed to change anything in the main ones. Any changes you do land in the files in your user, in your user dictionary. The fileformat shown is not important. Dictionaries are the same for all Suite Adobe apps. To relink to a dictinary you first have to create a custom one for your user. Only then will you be able to choose it.

  • Share photos by email - where are the templates ?

Hello, can anyone tell me where in Aperture 3 are the nice looking pre-made templates which exist in iPhoto when sharing photos by email?
    Thxs,

I just tried it from Aperture and it works great. All you have to do is select the photos you want to email from within Aperture. Right click, output, email and Mac Mail will open placing the photos you've selected in a new mail dialogue box. Once they are there, just click Stationary (which is in the upper right portion of the new mail dialogue box toolbar. After you click stationary, pick the template that you want, and the photos are automatically dropped into place. If you don't like the template, you can choose another and the photos automatically switch into the new template. If you don't like the arrangement, just drag the images around and they will automatically switch positions. It really couldn't be easier. And remember, you have the ability to control the quality of the image that is sent via the Aperture preferences, export tab. I don't think it matters when you are using templates, but for future reference, you should set this the way you want from the beginning so that the images get sent at the quality you want.
    I hope this helps.

  • Where are the auto recovery files stored for Visio 2010?

I have auto recovery set for every 5 minutes.  I have been working on a file that has been saved several times a day.  Today when just moving a shape Viso 2010 crashed after I had been working on the file for over 2 hours.  Auto recovery popped
up every 5 minutes indicating it was saving the file.  After the crash the ony file I could find was the file as it was when I first opened it this AM.  None of the work done today was saved.
Did auto recovery completely fail?  Where can I look for the auto recovery file?
I have not done a reboot because I am afraid that if the file exits it will be gone for sure if I reboot.  Any suggestions are welcome.
There must be a temp file or something that I can look for but not sure what the extension would be or the location.
    Hopefully someone here can help.
    thanks,
    greg

How do I know? You state the the auto-save file extension is .vxd - that's the Visio document XML format.
You can change this in File -> Options -> Save
As for the crashes, are there any messages when a crash occurs?
Check that the video drivers you have are the latest, try a different screen resolution to see if that changes anything and turn off or change any screen accelerators.

My mistake - the file format is .vsd - standard visio format
Here is the info from the event viewer for the specific crash that caused me temporary pain.

  • Where are the includes located in UCM

Trying to edit "workflow_docs_list.htm" and now I'm trying to find where the include "workflow_docs_table" is located in UCM. Anyone have a idea where I can find the include at?
Answered my own question so close this topic if possible.
Edited by: JTyson on Nov 27, 2012 3:13 PM

Sorry about that I asked because I have to request the needed file and need to know beforehand, for the answer what I did was I found the .htm file that built the page (for my problem it is "workflow_docs_list.html"), and found the include that is being called (the include was "workflow_docs_table"). Next I went to the workflow page I wanted to work on (workflow "XyZ" under Active Workflow) and added &IsPageDebug=1 to the end of the url (gotta make sure the URL is for that active workflow or it won't work).
Once the page loads there is a gray tab, click it and it will expand showing some options, click "iDocTrace" and expand the popup window and search for the include you want ("workflow_docs_table" for my case) and it will show the file location if it is being used.
I do have a new question if anyone whats to take a shot at it. I have a table of data that has a metadata tied to it, but if I try to access the metadata through iDoc I just get the id number tied to it, I wanna grab the name I gave it in the table. The reason is if someone was to remove/add a new item in the table we would have to make a lot of changes to difference areas with the idoc and was hoping to avoid using the current method of converting the number into it's name.
    example
    table x:
    id=1; name=test
I get the id number instead of the name if I called the metadata tied to it via iDoc and was hoping to get name instead is this possible?
Solved: the function getViewValue was just what I needed, getViewValue("view", xTest, "viewColum")
