Where can I download Boot Camp Assistant 3.3?

The version that comes with a fresh install of Snow Leopard is 3.04.  I plan to install Windows 7.

Yes, Boot Camp Assistant for Snow Leopard is stuck at 3.04.  But, I went ahead and partitioned the hard drive, installed Windows 7, and then installed Boot Camp from the Snow Leopard DVD.  Once installed, Boot Camp can be updated directly from Apple through Apple Software Update.  Problem solved.
I'm afraid that Snow Leopard is the end of the line for me on this machine.  It ran Lion so hot that I had to downgrade.  Might be the ATI graphics on this old MBP that weren't supported well under Lion.  Anyway, Windows 7 runs well and is getting regular security updates.

You can't. It is included with a version of OS X. and to my knowledge for Win 7 you need BC 4. Which should already be installed.

  • Can not download Boot Camp Assistant

I'm trying to download Boot Camp Assistant on my MBA, but it always stop and giving message as: download could not continue, an error occurred while downloading Windows support software
I don't know how to fix this problem, anyone have experience on this?

64 bit.  I found the support drivers and got the windows installation done.  When trying to run the 64 bit support drivers in Windows 7, it says my computer doesn't support 64 bit.  Sooooo.....
I'm assuming I have to download the 32 bit support drivers for Windows 7.
    Correct?

  • Where can I download Boot Camp?

Boot Camp is not on my OS Leopard. I looked in Applications, Utilities and did a Spotlight search. It did not come with my copy of the OS. Where can I download it?
    Thanks.

Boot Camp is for Intel Macs only and won't install on a PowerPC Mac such as yours. If somehow installed anyway, it won't do anything other than present an error message.

  • Where can I download Boot Camp Support Software 4.0.4131?

  • Can I download boot camp support software outside of boot camp assistant?

I've been able to install windows 7 with boot camp assistant and an external cd/dvd drive.  I have not, however, been successful at downloading and applying the boot camp support software.  It has either not loaded onto a USB drive, or will refuse to write to a CD.  Is there a solution to this, and/or can I download the up-to-date support software from another machine, burn it to disc and run it in windows (as older versions ex. 3.1, seem to be .exe files)?

  • Can't download boot camp for Mac Air A1466

Hi, I bought a Macbook air yesterday, which I guess could be the newest version.
After I got home, I'm trying to install windows on this Air. But when I try to download the Windows Support from boot camp Assistant, Its' showing the following message:
"Can't install Windows Support Software because it is not currently available from the Software Update Server."
I contacted phone support, the technican told me that apple update server is down, he don't know what to do.
I tried to use the boot camp in SnowLeopard disk, which gives me"the bootcamp doesn't support current model".
Now I'm lost, I don't know what to do with it. If I couldn't install the Windows on this Air, I wouldn't buy it.
I have other Macbook Air which I believe is 2010 model, works fine with dual boot, Lion and Windows 7.
Anybody has the direct download link for bootcamp that compatiable with my Macbook Air??
Please help me sovle this, I need this new computer for my next trip before Sunday.
    Thanks.

really annoying issue. i have the same problem and looks like a million others who have posted in the past 2 days is about the same thing lol
yes they've not released the new package yet. BUT if you have the old package say from the 2011 MBA, then you can install drivers from the package manually (just explore a bit and you'll find them) and most things will work. i.e. i did the most basic things like wifi and display (! HD3000 drivers works for 4000)  and it's all been fine for now.
obviously this is just a workaround but im sure once the proper package is out, you can just install it on top of your windows installation (with manual drivers) and everything will be as it should be.
quite irresponsible of Apple imo. everyone is stuck on this.
in the keynote, someone mentioned they "closed down apple just so they can run/staff WWDC". makes me imagine that those words literally, meaning we'll have to wait till the event ends before we can hope for anything lol.
i sure as **** hope they're not waiting till Mountain Lion before the new update is out....

  • Can't start Boot Camp Assistant

    Hello community.
When I want to start Boot Camp Assistant with only the bottom option ticked, and I click the Install button, nothing happens.
I can click it 10 times and still nothing happens.
When I tick the second and third options, it goes to about 2/3, then freezes.
I made the USB stick using
    Windows 7 USB/DVD download tool
because when I try it with Boot Camp, it says
Your bootable usb drive could not be created.
Any tips how I can get it to work?

Apple discontinued BootCamp beta last year. They have all expired and no longer work.
    It was a beta program.
You need to purchase Leopard in order to install BootCamp and get the updates.
You can also install Winders without BootCamp using a virtual program like Parallels or using the free bootmanager, rEFIt. Either of these will allow you to install Winders, Linux or any other OSs on your HD, but you are on your own if you take that route.
The only support path is using Leopard.

  • How can I activate Boot Camp Assistant?

How can I activate Boot Camp?  I want to install an educational library that is on a CD.  People that have PC's can use the CD.  I have a mac mini and I want to open the CD to read/review.  I have the Snow Leopard model.

Open Boot Camp Assistant in the Utilities folder. You will see the following:
Click on the Print Installation & Setup Guide button. Click the OK button in the dropdown panel. You will now see the main Print panel. You can now print the document to your printer. If you prefer to make a PDF file you can read on the computer instead, then select Save as PDF from the PDF dropdown menu on the lower left. Save it to the location of your choice.
Now, read this document carefully in order to follow the proper procedures for creating a Windows partition on your hard drive to which you can install Windows 7 from a retail Windows 7 installer DVD.
    Other options for running Windows:
    Windows on Intel Macs
There are presently several alternatives for running Windows on Intel Macs.
    1. Install the Apple Boot Camp software.  Purchase Windows XP w/Service Pak2, Vista, or Windows 7.  Follow instructions in the Boot Camp documentation on installation of Boot Camp, creating Driver CD, and installing Windows.  Boot Camp enables you to boot the computer into OS X or Windows.
    2. Parallels Desktop for Mac and Windows XP, Vista Business, Vista Ultimate, or Windows 7.  Parallels is software virtualization that enables running Windows concurrently with OS X.
    3. VM Fusionand Windows XP, Vista Business, Vista Ultimate, or Windows 7.  VM Fusion is software virtualization that enables running Windows concurrently with OS X.
    4. CrossOver which enables running many Windows applications without having to install Windows.  The Windows applications can run concurrently with OS X.
    5. VirtualBox is a new Open Source freeware virtual machine such as VM Fusion and Parallels that was developed by Solaris.  It is not as fully developed for the Mac as Parallels and VM Fusion.
    6. Last is Q.  Q is a freeware emulator that is compatible with Intel Macs.  It is much slower than the virtualization software, Parallels and VM Fusion.
Note that Parallels and VM Fusion can also run other operating systems such as Linux, Unix, OS/2, Solaris, etc.  There are performance differences between dual-boot systems and virtualization.  The latter tend to be a little slower (not much) and do not provide the video performance of the dual-boot system. See MacTech.com's Virtualization Benchmarking for comparisons of Boot Camp, Parallels, and VM Fusion. Boot Camp is only available with Leopard or Snow Leopard. Except for Crossover and a couple of similar alternatives like DarWine you must have a valid installer disc for Windows.
You must also have an internal optical drive for installing Windows. Windows cannot be installed from an external optical drive.

You don't download anything.  Just use boot camp assistant in Application > Utilities to get started.  You need a copy of Windows though.

  • TS2570 Where can I download Boot Files for my iMac

I have fitted a new Hard Drive as my old one crashed.
But I no longer have my OSX Install Disk.
Where can I download files to make a bootable USB for example?

Actually internet recovery is drive independent since it comes from the EFi Rom chip not the hard drive.
It even establishes it can restore in cases where the hard drive has been replaced.
    OS X Internet Recovery
Newer Macs include the ability to start up directly from an Internet-based version OS X Recovery. Your Mac automatically uses this feature when the Recovery System on the startup drive isn't available. For example, if your startup drive encounters an issue, or if your startup drive has been replaced or erased. Internet Recovery lets you start your Mac directly from Apple's servers. Starting up from this system performs a quick test of your memory and hard drive to check for hardware issues.
Assuming the computer came pre-installed with Lion, or is one of the supported models that could take the updated Rom firmware for it and was updated, it should be possible to use Internet Recovery on a completely new and blank hard drive.
