Where do I find the default FTP client?
I'd like to set the Finder back to being my default FTP client, however when I hit Go -> Connect to Server and type anything with ftp:// in front, it opens my Firefox. How do I set it to open the Finder instead?
I know I can set the default browser in Safari but I can't see anywhere to set the default FTP.

If I rebuild my launch services database won't I need to manually set all the file associations again? After all, this isn't accidental, I must have set Firefox to handle my FTP for some bizarre reason. I haven't tested whether thats true or not because I did check out the home/Library/Preferences/com.apple.launchservices.plist like you suggested.
In there, having opened it up in PropertyList editor (knew I downloaded that for something! I found an entry LSHandlerURLScheme with the value ftp and above that LSHandlerRoleAll with the value org.mozilla.firefox.
I checked on another machine where the Finder did open and saw the value it had in the same place was com.apple.finder so I put that in, hit save and off it goes. Perfect!
There were other entries for sftp and others so I edited that as well.
So thank you very much, that's exactly what I was looking for. Not exactly simple though!

That's your carrier default wallpaper, you can get it by going to options, display, then click on the advanced button, which looks like an equaliser and then click 'reset to carrier wallpaper'.

Where can I find the 11g XE client conectivity libraries for download?
Hi to all,
I'm new to Oracle and I have already installed the Oracle Database Express Edition 11g server and now I want to test connections from client PCs but I can't find de client libraries installer for this edition. In the online documentation I found a link for downloading de client libraries but it is broken.
In the download page there are no client libraries for downloading. Should I install all the database on client PCs?

Not necessarily. On clients PCs you can install any compatible Client version.
But... why do you need a client software on Clients ? A browser should be sufficient... -
This process was drag-and-drop on my Mac, but I can't find anything like that process for Fire FTP on my PC's Firefox browser.

I say "I think" because everything appears to have worked (no error messages, browser restarted successfully), but I cannot find a link to the add-on anywhere. Here are my two questions:
1. Where can I access Fire FTP when using my PC (not my Mac - the Mac's interface with this add-on is flawless)?
2. Where is the icon for this add-on, and how do I add it to the toolbar on the PC? (Again, the Mac works effortlessly in this regard)

As I am learning more and more about app development, it seems a lot of time can be wasted if you don't follow the rules Apple has set forth. I find post here and there about what not to do, such as using private API's, and tried searching in the Dev Center for something. As I learn I want to learn the, your app has more chance of not being rejected way, where can I find the "no-no" list Apple has?

Note that iOS apps can only be distributed via the App Store while OSX apps can be distributed directly by the developer.
Creating a non-App Store app in OSX has several advantages and disadvantages:
The App Store handles a number of practical issues for you: like setting up a download page and processing payments. It also (supposedly) gives you access to a larger customer base and is the "default" location for getting apps that Apple pushes new users to. The App Store is also more convenient when re-downloading apps, safer and more convenient as users don't have to keep track of activation codes for purchased apps.
You don't need to sandbox your app, this is helpful for certain apps that need to access data from other apps or needed to call other apps e.g. via AppleScript.
You can use private APIs, although this is generally not recommended as these classes are not documented and may change/disappear between OS releases. But poking around in private APIs and other internals may sometimes be the only way to access certain information or to get certain features.
Not being a App Store app will also mean that you can't use certain APIs - I think that iCloud is one of these. -

the files should be in 'your home folder' library, esp.
if you use Mail application.... ~/Library/Mail

that would most be associated with the file.

while one video was getting cached . I could see the cached file in the cache directory that mozilla firefox uses which in my pc is .....Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\uujksq39.default\Cache. but later on when the full video was completely cached i couldnt find the file existing in that directory and i still have my session of that firefox opened and can watch the video from the firefox session.
since the cached video is still there ,there most be some place where the firefox is storing that file. is it the case that when the file is big (greater than some threshold value) firefox stores in some other directory?You can do a search an the about:cache page.

Where can I find the file where the static mapping allocations of the DHCP server are stored?
In our company we are using DHCP to assign static ip addresses to our clients.
Now we are forced to change the ip address range. To prevent changing each allocation
of mac-address to ip-address manually with the admin tool i would like to change the allocation
in the file where the allocations are saved. The reason ist that i just have to use copy & paste for all
the allocations.
So how is the file named and where can I find the file where
the static mapping allocations of the DHCP server are stored? Is it just an ASCII file?

I scanned an Item from my computer to my documents. The scan was completed. However, when I searched in my documents, the Item was not there.
Where can I find the item scanned?Most scanners default to Pictures folder or the Desktop.
If you select All My Files and Arrange by Date Added you should be able to find the file.
If you turn on Show Path bar and Show Status bar for your Finder Window under View in the Menu bar, when you select the file you will see the path of the file in the bottom of the Finder window. -

I accidentally mapped my Ctrl+Shift+Alt+E (merge all visible to a new layer) shortcut to another one, and I can't find where the original function was in the Keyboard Shortcuts panel. Does anyone know where I can find the original function so I can remap it? I have a lot of custom shortcuts and I don't want to switch back to Photoshop defaults.
I suspect the shift-key is just a qualifier and the original shortcut should be under Panel Menus > Layers > Merge Visible

Where do we find the apache plugin?
We have a complete 9.2 platform installation and an alsb2.5 installation as well. Docs(http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs92/plugins/apache.html) say that the plugins can be found in:
WL_HOME/weblogic90/server/plugin
However in our installations there is nothing there.
Any leads to where we can find the plugin is greatly appreciated.

Can't select rating in smart album
It is impossible for me to create a smart album where my rating ("Mitt Betyg") is anything other that 4 or 5 stars. If I click in the star field, it is like the field is insensitive to clicks in the first three stars. I have tried this on Macs in a M
