Comments : I wanted to delete an address from my address-book. On the address-card I marked the to-delete-name and clicked "delete" - it didn't work - I couldn't delete the address;
I went in my menu to "Postbus" (mailbox) while my address-card was still on my desk-top.
I clicked "verwijder" (delete). I still have the address that I wanted to remove but I lost all my mail at once. My Mailbox is empty and I can also no longer retrieve new mail. I can send mails out though, but I can not retrieve new mail although I can see that I do have several messages waiting to be picked up. I checked my accounts and everything is still there. I re-entered codes and passwords but nothing seems to work when I hit the get-mail-button. What shall I do now ?

Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library, or a backup of it, then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

Ive recently had a replacement Iphone for the one that I had lost. My old phone had over 900 songs on it and about 70 apps and i still had around a gb free. Since ive had my new phone ive backed it up from Icloud and lost a lot of space. I only have 279 songs on it and 53 apps and i have no space left. Im confused. You should have 13 GB available after the iOS and the Apple Apps ...The rest is yours to fill. If you connect to iTunes you will see a graphical representation of how your iPhone's storage is currently consumed. Also you could Reset the phone and check the available space again. Hold Sleep / Wake button down and the Home key at the same time until the Apple logo appears, then release the buttons and wait until the Reset brings you back to the lock-screen.

If you have it turned on it is now under the music section on the top where you have Songs, Albums etc. It is on the far right next to Match.
If you cannot see it then Preferences and Tick Radio Option
If it is still npt there the Preferences, Parental and untick Disable Radio

Today when I opened up Bridge, the preview panel on the right hand side has disappeared. It shows as being selected when I go to the Window Menu but it isn't there. The scroll bar is also missing so I can't view all of the thumbnails. Does anyone have any ideas about why this has happened and how I can return it to it's normal format? Thanks, Michelle.

No, but you can choose Reset Workspace from the workspace menu to get it back to normal.

bit of a pain as i used it quite often

iTunes 7 is pretty smart overall, nevertheless I have a few serious gripes with the interface. Firstly the little 'snowflake' icon on the bottom right that switches on the visuals has been replaced by the browse and burn icons. Was there a problem with the previous layout? My wife and I use that button everytime we turn on the visuals on our Mac Mini sound system in the living room. It was super convenient because you could move in a single mouse sweep from selecting a playlist to switching on visuals. With iTunes 7 you have to either select from the pop-down menu or switch to the keyboard and press cmd+T. It might not seem such a big deal to some but it's definitely a backwards step, no matter how small.
The album art selector/display is very cool and niftily programmed however I'll never use it. The reason? Because if you fill it with album artwork, all those images are displayed over the visualiser at the start of each tune, which I HATE. I don't want sleeve designs ruining the beauty of G-Force which I paid good money to see. It's bad enough having the track info show when I already know what's playing! iTunes 7 is simply not configurable enough if you ask me, and hey, you shouldn't have to start configuring Fkeys to make up for the fundemental lack of choice in the program preferences.
I have a pal who loves the gapless playback in the new iTunes 7 because it's great for mix cds. Well maybe that's the best playback feature of iTunes 7 but I'm afraid it doesn't make up for the loss of the visualiser button, so there!

Along with what Skydiver119 has already told you, my 64GB iPad 3 only had 57GB of available storage out of the box, so if you keep doubling the amount of already used storage on the device as you go from 16 to 32 to 64 and then to 128GB - I assume that the figure that you see is correct. The iOS and preinstalled apps account for the storage that seems to be "missing" to you on your iPad.
The amount that you see in Settings>General>About>Capacity is in fact, the available storage capacity for your iPad. You can't change it. It is whatever it says it is in that setting.

TS3276 My gmail or icloud mailbox has no incoming mail, showing that the mailboxes are connected but nothing coming in, mailbox rebuild option is greyed out. any ideas?

My mail has suddenly stopped receiving any incoming mail, I have gmail and of course icloud but nothing coming in or going out. I've ran the connection doctor and it's showing that the connection to the internet is fine, so where is the mail?

Where has the link to the exchange gone? It used to be available on the adobe website, but it's disappeared now, or it's not very obvious anymore!

Where has the music store gone?

Hi there,
I have just moved to South Africa with a new Touch so I've been a bit preoccupied recently. I have now realised that iTunes opens in the Apps Store and I can't find my way to the music store
Where has it gone and is there a way I can change it back to opening there again?

Sigh.... This has been asked and answered here dozens of times. Music, movie and video content in the iTunes Store will come to other countries if and when Apple can work out all the multitude of licensing, copyright and royalty issues with all the various entities that hold the distribution rights in your country, along with any legal and infrastructure issues that might arise.

There is no conventional file system in ios. Apps store their own data.

If I understand correctly, you can edit what is shown in the side bar within the "Finder Preferences".
under the "sidebar" tab tick the boxes of the things you want to be shown in the side bar of Finder.
under the "General" tab tick the boxes of the things you want to be shown on the desktop.
Hope this is what you are after and this helps.

Hi, I am writing on a 2013 Macbook Pro which I updated to the Yosemite operating system 4 days ago. I have just lost an essay using pages that I've worked on over the past two days (around 6 hours of work) I've searched trash and all files documents and can't find it. where has it gone? I found multiple versions of the piece when i wanted to email it to a tutor and started to tidy up and now all of them have disappeared. Can anyone help? Thanks Margaret

Thank you sir - in 6 minutes you have accomplished what Apple couldn't in almost as many weeks.
Moral of the story: Renting movies on Apple TV 2 ***** and I shan't be doing it again. It amazes me that Apple has launched a system that allows the GB tap to run freely with no regard to logic whatsoever.
As you point out any future (if any) rentals will be made via iTunes, which I had imagined was more or less equivalent given Apple's usually harmonious relationship between various modes of doing essentially the same thing. Not so in this case. I've also rented directly from the iPad as well, which turned out to be a hassle until I discovered Airplay.
Thanks again for your response - at least now I understand what happened.
