Where is import button?

I am just starting the trial. I have downloaded the sample pictures. Imagine my joy when the first thing to do... I can not do! There is no import button on the bottom left... just Copy or Paste.

You need to be in the Library.
Press the G key for grid view.

I have reinstalled the drivers. I watched it install the realtec and cirrus drivers. Hovering the mouse over the speaker icon says 'speakers: HP'. They are actually 'Creative'. 'Properties' indicates 'IDT High Definition CODEC' and 'This device is working correctly'.
Driver details gives 'c:\Windows\system32\drivers\dmk.sys'.
There is still no sound, although the little level meter on the control shows a green bar rising and falling.
Obviously, it thinks it's working, but there's no connection to the speakers. They're not muted, either. I checked that too.
Any other ideas?

Or, if by any chance what you are trying to do is to import (rip) a CD... insert the CD, let it register in iTunes, and then "Import CD" will appear at the upper right as shown.

I'm trying to import a song from my husbands shared library on his computer. While I can play the song on my computer the import button that's usually on the bottom sidebar is missing? Where did it go? How do I copy this song to my library? Anybody else having this problem?

I finally got my home sharing to work. But after selecting all, there are no "settings" or "import" buttons on the bottom right of iTunes. Help!

This button does not exist on my computers either. Been looking all day. Can share music but can't transfer library ITunes you are about to lose a customer.

Shuffle or repeat songs

Turn shuffle on or off: Click the Shuffle button

Shuffle albums or groupings: Choose Controls > Shuffle > Albums (or Groupings). iTunes plays the songs in the order in which they appear on the album or in the grouping, and then chooses another album or grouping at random.
Repeat all songs in the current view (for example, a playlist): Choose Controls > Repeat > All.
Repeat the currently playing song: Choose Controls > Repeat > One.
Turn repeat off: Choose Controls > Repeat > Off.

Home sharing 'import' button iTunes 11.1... Where is it?

In Home sharing, I select the songs I want, but the 'Import' button doesn't ever seem to come up. Any help with the new iTunes 11.1?

HT4527 I want to move all my iTunes from old PC to new PC but Home Sharing on both and it works. At Step 11, I clicked Home Sharing Import button doesn't work.

Help! I want to move all my iTunes music, podcasts, etc. from an old PC to a new PC. I set up Home Sharing on both and it works. I followed the steps in http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4527 to the letter. At Step 11, I clicked on Home Sharing on my new PC, then Edit > Select All so I could then import everything to the new computer. No matter what I try, the Import button doesn't work. There are two buttons on the lower right hand side of the iTunes screen - one for Settings and one for Import. The Settings button is clickable but the Import button isn't even live. In other words, I can see it but not click on it. I have double-checked my firewall and it is not the problem. How can I get the Import button to work?

These are two possible approaches that will normally work to move an existing library to a new computer.
Method 1
Backup the library with this User Tip.
Deauthorize the old computer if you no longer want to access protected content on it.
Restore the backup to your new computer using the same tool used to back it up.
Keep your backup up-to-date in future.
Method 2
Connect the two computers to the same network. Share your <User's Music> folder from the old computer and copy the entire iTunes library folder into the <User's Music> folder on the new one. Again, deauthorize the old computer if no longer required.
Both methods should give the new computer a working clone of the library that was on the old one. As far as iTunes is concerned this is still the "home" library for your devices so you shouldn't have any issues with iTunes wanting to erase and reload.
I'd recommend method 1 since it establishes an ongoing backup for your library.
Note if you have failed to move contacts and calendar items across you should create one dummy entry of each in your new profile and iTunes should merge the existing data from the device.
If your media folder has been split out from the main iTunes folder you may need to do some preparatory work to make it easier to move. See make a split library portable.
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library or a backup then then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device for advice on how to set up your devices with a new library with the maximum preservation of data.

I get an error while changing modules pop up when opening Lr. There is no import button to use and if I try to load the default catalog I get the error message again essentially making Lr completely unusable for me! please help

When launching Lr i get the initial screen to come up followed by an "error while changing modules" pop up. I have uninstalled and re-downloaded, followed all the suggested trouble shooting fixes and still nothing. When the app starts it has the basic info boxes but without any options in them (i.e. no import button or any buttons at all for that matter).All my other creative cloud apps seem to be working fine but Lr won't. Please help

Ah, see, you said you had done it differently before.

You'll need to reinstall Reader if the libraries aren't registered. You can't register them manually.
Perhaps if you posted some of your code (where it creates the objects, etc.) we might be able to give you some more advice. You're sure you aren't trying to use anything outside of the AxAcroPDFLib.AxAcroPDF class?

Importing buttons

The problem is that whanever i import a button from the library-when i attempt to change its text/label this applies for all the buttons imported in the document.
I want each imported button to have its own text.
Despite, in the relevant pop-up window(where i am asked to choose yes or no if the text change will be applied to the other buttons also) i choose no, this has no effect, if for example i have
imported 4 buttons and i change the text to one, this will have effect also to the others.
Well, how do i fix it?

Thanks for the question. I understand you are attempting to import music from one computer to another. I assume you are using Home Sharing to do so. You may want to take a look at the following article (and the Home Sharing section) to make sure you aren't missing any important steps:

One important step is to make sure your computer is authorized with the same account:
On your new computer:
7. Click the Store menu and choose Authorize computer. Enter your Apple ID and password (that was listed in the Advanced menu in step three or used in step 5).
8. Choose Advanced > Turn On Home Sharing from the menu bar.
9. Select the Home Sharing icon on the left side of iTunes.
Note: Once Home Sharing is enabled, the Home Sharing option disappears from the left side of iTunes until a Home Share library is found from another computer.
10. Once your new computer sees the Home Share from your old computer, click that Home Share on the left side of iTunes on your new computer.
11. Select the content in the Home Share that you want to transfer to your iTunes library on your new computer, or choose Edit > Select All to choose all of it. Then, click the Import button in the bottom-right corner of iTunes.
12. Wait for the content to finish transferring.

Where is Import

Hi,
I can see a menu item called export within the tool. But, where is import? BTW, I also noted the export doesn't seem to work like you expect it to. If you select tables and packages only packages will export. If you export table, it only exports the structure, not data!!. I have never seen an "apply" button doing the actual job. I would have expected a "Run" button to actually do the export. Apply is normally to set an environment variable. Isn't it?
Anyway, I cannot expect more from ORACLE, can I?. It took more than 20 years to recognise there is some thing called "GUI" (Graphical user interface) in this world!!. You will see about 10 items installed in your program group if you install an ORACLE client. I wonder how many of them are useful? "Configuration and Migration Tools", "INTTYPE file assistant" what is that all about!!
We also have to remember this is for a product which is more than 10 times expensive than SQL Server/Sybase. Hope this is the first towards recognising the "real" world! ORACLE you got a big challenge ahead. Good luck!!

So you haven't got my point? Okay, here they are:
1. Missing an option for import. If you want me to
use command line "imp" utility I can use "exp" for
export and SQL*Plus for creating a data chunk for
SQL*Loader as well, can't I? Then why this tool? I
thought you want make things easier.This tool does database editing and browsing, PL/SQL coding and debugging. Why incorporate functionality in a V1.0 tool which is already available.

I've just tried that and managed to export both packages and tables...

No. The default user home is C:\Documents and Settings\%USERNAME%. The default document location is %HOME%\My Documents, but defaulting to the home directory gives you more flexibility. Who wants sql scripts mixed in with Word docs?
4. Though I was a bit carried away by ORACLE's
issues. I can show 1000's people out there agreeing
with me on ORACLE's user interfaces, especially the
utilities installed along with the client. Don't
think I am an MS freak. Though I uses other databases
time to time, I have been actively using ORACLE for
last 8-10 years. But, I can still say ORACLE has to
go miles and miles before it reaches some standard on
it's UI's.Oracle's user interfaces are consistent across all platforms which for me is the important thing, and they are perfectly usable. Your opinion may differ.

MY IMPORT BUTTON HAS VANISHED!

I have recently upgraded to iphoto6 and the blue import button in my library has vanished. Is that no longer an option? I have imported 10,000 photos in the past 3 years via a flash card reader by using this very basic import function and cannot figure what has happened to the button. As an alternative, I went to File > Import to Library but could not figure out where to find the card reader. I then tried to import photos directly from my camera (Nikon D50) and nothing happened when I plugged in the cable both with iphoto closed and then open.
Help...I need to have an empty flash card in the morning!

When you do File > Import to Library can you navigate
to the Desktop, and do you see your card reader at
the Desktop level? That's where my card reader goes.
I select columns view in the Finder so that I can see
which pictures I need to import.
Or, if that doesn't work...

Thanks for the advice. When I tried to go to File > Import to Library I was not able to find the card reader but I figured out after that attempt that the port I was using (the front port in the G5 tower) was not working....this probably would have worked if I'd plugged the card reader into the rear port which what I ended up doing with a cable connected directly to my camera.

Oops, I forgot a step between 7 and 8 ... before syncing the iPhone I need to explicitly send the document back to iTunes on the iPhone, or the changes won't come over at all ...
and then one more thing ... Numbers on iOS does NOT recognize a number of key features of the OSX app, such as conditional formatting ... so after editing my document on iOS and syncing it back to OSX on my Mac, all of those settings are lost (no more conditional formatting, have to do it all over again)
What am I doing wrong ?

Having a problem with "open" and "import" buttons!

I am having some trouble with a basic function in Logic. When I go to "file" and select "import," the window of options appears. However, when I select a file and click the "import" button, literally nothing happens. I have had a similar problem, when I go to the "file" menu and select "open." A window will appear for me to browse to the logic file I want to open, but when I click "open," nothing happens. However, if I manually go to the file and double-click it, then the file will open. The drop-down is set to "All logic document types," though I have tried "all Logic songs" with the same problem. Please help!

you know whats funny, this project has to do with arrays of objects and not inheritance. We learned inheritance last week but the lab we are doing which is this, is for arrays of objects. sorry for the confusion lol. so you can completely ignore this, it actually has it in big bold letters at the top of the web page for the lab.
