Where is Logic x installing the sounds?

I bought Logic x and downloaded all the extra sounds, but where is Logic installing this? I would like to move them to my external drive, because after installing Logic x, my Mac became very slow and I think it's because of the extra content. ( the internal drive has still 500 GB free though).

Do you have the 7.2 crossgrade? It's $49 from the Apple store.

After that, software update will take care of the rest.

You need the admin password you created when you first set up the machine.  Just about every installer running under OS X will require you to authorize the installation by entering an administrator password - even software update requires this.  You really should not forget your admin password, as it is required for many things in OS X since, unlike Windows, you often need to manually type in the admin password to proceed with an install or update (whereas Windows will take admin authority, if you are logged in as an admin, by simply clicking continue or yes).
If you cannot remember your admin password, you can reset it from the recovery CD that came with your mac - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1274

CS5 for Windows can only be installed on Windows operating system.
You would need to purchase CS5 for Mac OS.
Given that CS5 is now 4 versions back, it's unlikely you'll find a copy.

  • Guys ... I have a 2008 MacPro running the current Yosemite.  I also have installed the sound amp called "BOOM!"  I have the Sound set to Line Out which should have the computer boot up to BOOM! Instead, it boots up to the Internal speaker. What's up?

    Hi Folks ...
I have a 2008 MacPro running the current Yosemite. I have installed the recommended upgraded video card, but the sound is as it was new. I also have installed the sound amp/graphic equalizer called "BOOM!"  I have the Sound set to Line Out which should have the computer boot up automatically to BOOM!  and thus to the external speakers.  Instead, it boots up to the Internal speaker.  According to the folks at "BOOM!", this is happening to others who have similar Macs.  They can't find any explanation within BOOM!, so I am turning to you all.  Any ideas?

    Hi Kappy ...
Sorry, I guess I didn't state the problem very well.
I don't want the computer to boot up to the internal speaker.  I want it to boot up to the external speakers.  However, even though System Preferences is set on Line Out, when the computer boots up or reboots, it erroneously goes to internal speaker.  So, every time I boot up, I have been going to System Preference/Sound and clicking on Line Out.  From that point on, everything is OK until the next boot up.  It is a small annoyance, but annoying all the less. The simple explanation seems to be that when the computer is shut down, it does not hold the setting for Line Out and resets itself to Internal Speaker.  How do I change that behavior and get it to go to Line Out whenever it boots up?

I forgot to back-up my information (pictures, excel documents) on MAC before installing boot camp and Windows.  I am mid-way through the process, at the point where I need to install the drivers. Will i be able to retrieve my documents on MAC and finalizing the Windows 7 installation (for the 1st time) or not?
I am worried that  may lose my information... Appreciate any feedback! Note: already half-way in the process of installing!

Yes, IF you picked the right partition, as in the Boot Camp partition. If everything is done right you should be able to boot into the Mac side.
If you already booted into Windows and are at the point of installing the Boot Camp Drivers your already done installing Windows! Yea! All you need to do is just install the drivers and everything should work normal.
The Windows partition and the Mac partition are seen as two different HD's now as far as the computer knows.
You can use the Boot Camp control panel in Windows to boot into the Mac side and the Startup Disk in System Preferences on the Mac to switch to Windows. If you can't then press and hold down the Option key untill you get the boot screen.

  • Hello, please help, my interface is connected to the microphone and when i open Logic 9 it does´t work. But I opened garageband to check and it works fine. I can record voice with any effect... With Logic i see the sound passes in the interface.

Hello, please help, my interface is connected to the microphone and when i open Logic 9 it does´t work. But I opened garageband to check and it works fine. I can record voice with any effect... With Logic i see the sound passes in the interface but does not arrive in Logic. The Loops works fine and i can hear. Is just the sound to record the voice it does not work. What can i do ??? I used Logic before in the same computer and it worked fine. Thank you so much, I´m a begginer recording myself.

Make sure you go into preferences in Logic and set the audio input to be your interface and the audio output to be either built in output or the interface, if that is hooked up to something else. It sounds like Garageband has the audio interface set as the input but not Logic.
Also make sure you close all other applications except Logic to ensure it is not running in slave mode...

  • Where I have to install the Hybrid Connection Manager

I got to connect to a database on-premise with the Hybrid Connection.
I have installed the "Hybrid Connection Manager" locally into the SQL Server.
But I don't know if it is correct.
If I have several DataBase servers I have to install the "Hybrid Connection Manager" locally into each one of them, or I can use another server to install the controller?
Now I want to connect a webService on-premise with the Hybrid Connection. I don't know where I have to install the "Hybrid Connection Manager". In the web server? I have tried it, but the install not Works properly.

  • Situation while Installing the sound driver

    Hi,
I am facing multiple problems, let me try to brief u one by one.
I am having HP DV6000 series with windows vista 64 bit, from past few days I am seeing the sound button is in mute condition that is it is orange all the times and when i tried to play any song or so, there was no sound.
Went to see the device manager under sound option, I can only see the Bluetooth hands free audio and stereo audio only
For some reason I cannot see any entry for the Realtek codecs, so I went to the HP site
Downloaded and Installed the latest s/w in my machine, now the situtation is I can see the entry in the Add/Remove Programs & i can see the software is installed,
But it is not listed in the device Mgr--> Sound, video and game controllers options.
So 2 resolve this i went into Add New hardware and added the new sound controller, now after doing that I can see the entry of realtek in device mgr but it is always with the Yellow Icon, and I am getting the message as Error code 10.
PF below the screenshot for the same.
I hope this make some sense.
Expecting a reply from any of the experts from HP or MS.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
First try installing the latest Chipset driver on the link below.
    ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp36001-36500/sp36491.exe
Save the download to the Desktop, then right click the installer and select 'Run as Administrator' to start the installation.
    When installed, restart the PC.
Next, download this Realtek driver and again, save it to the Desktop.
    ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp38501-39000/sp38899.exe
When the download is complete, right click the installer and select 'Run as Administrator' to start the installation.
When complete, restart the PC again and then check whether the installation has been successful.
    Best wishes,
    DP-K

  • How do I install the sound and graphics drivers on my Equium L40-10Z?

Ok heres the deal, I have everything working pretty much except the sound. Its the analogue inc card that I have on this laptop and not the Realteck one. I believe it also goes under the name of SoundMAX. Been searching for the driver on google for hours now, so can anyone tell me if they have managed to get their sound working and how?
Also about the graphics, I am not fussed but if anyone has any info on that it would be great.
Does anybody know the specs of the chip set, motherboard etc for this laptop, so I can download the chipset drivers.
I am using Windows XP Service Pack 3!
    Thanks

I downgraded from Vista so I only have a Vista system resume disc. Also my model is the psl41e which has a slightly different soundcard than the psl49e, which the xp drivers are for. I am downloading all the Toshiba branded drivers, but if someone could tell me how to find the Analogue SoundMAX driver on xp for the psl41e then I would be very greatful.
Also how do I find out the specs of my chipset etc?

  • Satellite A300D-15B PSAKCE - Cannot install the Win XP 64bit sound driver

    Hello all,
This is my first post here after lurking for the last week or two, My hope is that somewhere here there is help and hence hope!
I have a wonderful Toshiba A300D-15B PSAKCE with 4GB/O RAM, however I am suffering from some problems that the holy SEARCH function cannot solve. I use this laptop as a development box for uni/work alas...
After an absolute nightmare with Vista32 and Vista64 I decided to go back to windows XP32, however this wont install, keeps claiming a CRC file failure after (and yes this is with the SATA in IDE mode and with an XPSP2 disk)
I decided that I really DONT want to goback to Vista, so installed Windows XP64. Now the initial Instal goes very easy, I have the basic setup, the chipset, graphics, network, processor, usb, pretty much the basic... except... and this is where I have lost most of my hair.... SOUND!
Firstly attempting to install the sound driver results in Failure, claiming the mmdriver.inf cannot be found or corrupt, obviously I checked, and yes there it is, for the sake of it downloaded the MMDRIVER.INF and placed it system32, and still the install fails.
I have also tried a "Manual Install", from the .inf files... this includes the XP32/64 drivers and the Vista 32/64 bit drivers, still the same
problem, driver continues to fail install. I am becoming increasingly bald. Outstanding Drivers that WONT install

Now, as I write this I have heard rumor that the A305D uses the same
audio/graphics drivers.... well.... off to try something I guess...
if there is any help or ideas I would appreciate it.

    Thanks Jaba
Initially I attempted to locate the MS patches you mentioned, KB835221 and KB888111 respectively, alas there were none available that I could find for XP64, also at the time of tapping this message theres no XPSP3 for XP64 bit either.
Lucky for me I logged into my MSDN account and downloaded XP+XPSP3 tore the house up looking for a CDR... anyway long story short.... solved all the problems with the required updates of SP3, I now have my Toshiba A300D-15B all singing 'n dancing laptop setup completely with XP32.
Had to take a hit on the RAM though, gonnna have to go on with only 3.2GB instead of 4GB,
arguably when one counts the memory foot-print that vista ultimate 64 had used I am probalby still on a winner here in memory avaiable terms LOL!
    thanks again! much help!

  • Tecra S11-15T asks to install always sound driver

    Good day all
My Toshiba laptop S11-15T has a sound driver problem, every time I restart my laptop in want me to install a
Microsoft UAA bus driver high defection audio driver.
I've tried re-installing the sound drivers but it doesn't do the trick.
    Please assist...

    Hi
What Windows OS do you use?
    Is it Win XP?
As far as I know the Win XP SP3 contains the Microsoft UAA bus driver high defection audio driver and some patches and fixes.
If you use this system, I recommend installing all patches and service packs firstly.
Then you should uninstall the sound driver and after new reboot install the driver which you could download from the Toshiba page.

  • How to install the Runtime Repository for the first time

Please let me know if I am correct...
We need to run the OWB Runtime Assistant Tool from the database server where we are to install the Runtime Repository and also the user with which it needs to be created should have the SYSDBA privileges. We run the OWB Runtime Assistant tool and then follow the subsequent instructions.
    -Arnab

The runtime repository was installed successfully, but I think we need to associate a target schema for the runtime repository as well where the deployable scripts will be kept.
I am not understand the fact that the runtime repository should 'own' the target schema ?? what does this mean ???
