Where is my service?

My landline connection has been down for 10 days now and no engineer has attended the fault yet despite multiple (false) promises from the BT service desk. Apparently there are still 60 other faults ahead of me in the queu. I consider it to be a disgrace that it takes more than 10 days for an engineer to attend to a fault in a city like Aberdeen.

How can I get into the Services 'menu' Folder (Finder Menu/Services). I mean, where is the "Services menu" Folder placed in my mac?

If you are looking for a way to edit the items that appear in the Services menu... there is not a specific directory that controls the list.
However there is a lovely (donationware) Application called Service Scrubber that enables editing of the menu. You can download it at: http://www.manytricks.com/servicescrubber/

Where is Location Services in the Settings Menu?

Where is Location Services in the Settings Menu? I ask because I was told to switch off some of the location services in the various apps to help me save battery life, but not too sure where Location Services is?

AlliisonR: Location settings have been moved to the new Privacy section underneath Brightness & Wallpaper in Settings icon. Tricky but it's still there.

Where did Verizon service go?

     I have a Verizon LG Cosmos 3 prepaid phone, and it is impossible to get an actual person by calling them. In the past, I pressed 0 from their IVR and I was able to get an operator. That was disabled. First, I should have account owner status. I have one phone, I am the only one who uses the one phone, and I am the only one who pays for my one phone. I should not have "limited access" when signing onto my account online.
     Next, somebody stole all the Bluetooth profiles that I should have according to my phone menu. Now, the only Bluetooth profile I have is the Bluetooth headset profile. I don't use a Bluetooth headset, so that is useless to me. I like Bluetooth to be able to transfer picture files between my computer, my Ipod Touch, and my LG Cosmos 3.
     That master reset I did last week did not give me back the Bluetooth profiles. Now, I want back all my ringtones I purchased since I began using this LG Cosmos 3 phone using your VCast application which came installed on my phone. The VCast application does not show any purchase history for me. I don't think I should have to purchase them a second time.
     What happened to the MyVerizon website which is pre-installed on my phone? I used to like making credit card payments within 2 minutes using your browser. Now, I get server not trusted messages. I liked being able to access my email using the web browser once in awhile on my phone. Now, I get server not trusted messages. I really can't afford or need to pay $10/month to use the email application on the phone once every 1-2 months.
     Why are most of the websites giving me server not trusted messages on the Verizon web browser now? Why did Verizon end the web browsing feature on their phone first devices? Exactly, what is going on with Verizon's management? Why did the chat session with your live chat representative freeze when I requested to updated to the account owner? Where is your service, Verizon???

Well I can tell you a master reset wipes everything out as in factory reset so you will have to set it all up again just like you took it out of the box meaning you need re-do your Bluetooth things to connect again. Most devices work that way unless you have some kind of app that backs everything up settings and all in case you have to reset. Mary

I am using CRM 5.0. I just forgot that Categorization profile can be used for the same.
I have configured the categorization profile for the same and its working fine.
One more thing -
I want to create an Appointment with Customer for problem resolution at the Customer Site. I want to assign Resorces to the Appointment so that the responsible resource is notified and sent to the Customer Site for Visit.

Why can't Verizon help when my phone has no service where there IS service for everyone else on Verizon?

I have just been on hold with Verizon tech support for an hour and then they terminated the call without ever connecting me to anyone. I have made 4 calls on this issue and was on hold for more than 30 minutes each time. Nobody could assist because I was on a land line. The last person told me to go where there was another cell phone and then call tech support. I did that but no tech support available. They kept saying "sorry you are still having trouble, goodbye." My home is served by a land line and I live where there is NO cell phone service. I rely on my cell phone when I go to town or are on the road. I found out last week that my phone is no longer finding service. It may have not been in service for more than a month and I never noticed. Perhaps its activation got screwed up when I looked into upgrading on the web not and did not or perhaps Verizon is forcing me to upgrade by cutting me off. Now I have no service anywhere and can't get any human assistance. Does anyone out there have an email address I can write to? I will keep calling next week but THERE IS NO VERIZON SUPPORT ON HOLIDAYS or WEEKENDS. There is no real online help for my device. My bill is current. HELP!!! Verizon should deduct by bill (I'll accept the minimum wage) for every hour I spend on hold or talking to tech support people who can't offer any support.

I am a newbie to Oracle Service Bus and trying to learn it.
Today i have developed my first service bus application and I am also able to deploy it.
As a deployment artifact , I am having sbconfig.jar.
My module contains 1 proxy , 1 business service and few xsd.
My question is
1.) what is the standard practice for checking service bus applications .?
2.) Where we checkin these files and how. ?
3.) do i have to checkin the sbconfig.jar itself in the repository. ?

No, this is a derived artifact, and shouldn't be checked into any VCS(*)
You check in the source files -- *.proxy, *.biz, *.xsd and so on, and also the content of the DevConfiguration folder.
P.S. Granted, those files are XML and branching and merging is a MAJOR PAIN in OSB, but this is the best you can do.
(*) Unless it is the Release Management VCS where they often require to drop the deployable artifact into there, because they are not very interested in sources when promote the code to PROD.

How to list all active local ports where a server/services is listening?

How can I list all local ports where a local server or services is listening?
The listing should contain the path and program name of the listening server/service.
So I need something like:

How can I do this?

lsof (compile, sunfreeware.com, blaswave)
it wont show full path i think (man lsof for more) however it gives pids/ports/exe name, so you could take that and script it or do something with the output.

As this looks like a Microsoft / C# problem, you may not get much help from this forum, which primary focuses on the Oracle Web Services stacks.
You may want to try to post this question to .NET dedicated forum on MSDN. See sites like http://www.gotdotnet.com for example.
On the Oracle forums, you may have better luck in one of the "Windows and .NET" forums.
You should also try to test the private method -- SearchProduct -- first, outside the Web Service and test your Web Service with a static result, so that you can narrow down where the issue is.

Where does the Services for Object (GOS) store data?

I have a requirement that I need to upload a Blocking Reason document for any blocked vendor.
The normal process we follow for blocking is XK02->Extras-> Blocked Data or XK05.
We want to check before the Vendor is saved with blocked data whether he/she (who is blocking the vendor) has uploaded the Blocking Reason Document .
I found out that we have an option in Vendor screen for uploading a document under 'Services for Object' in XK02 as shown in the below (in the red box).
After uploading the attachment it will show the uploaded document in the Attachment List as shown below.
I don't know where this entry is stored. I checked in the table SOOD (SAPoffice: Object definition), but there is no entry in there.
I would like to know on how to check whether the file has been uploaded at the time of saving the vendor.
If anyone knows the table in which this data is stored, kindly point it out.

Where is ESR ,Service Registry in ECC or SAP-PI?

i am trying to develop a custom web service in ECC 6.0 with the end point "Function module' . i went to SE80 and did all the required things.
I want to know where is my ESR and service registry in ECC? Does it only exists in SAP-PI or it also exists in R/3 ECC 6.0 ? I dont know about it and if it exists in ECC 6.0 how does SOAMANAGER helps and what role does it play in that?
so when ECC 6.0 act as a service provider , our WSDL will be generated in R/3 ECC 6.0 so in that case where we register our service and how?
Well I read that SAP Service Registry along with Enterprise Services Repository are shipped with SAP NetWeaver Process Integration 7.1 and SAP NetWeaver Composite Environment 7.1 but then when we create our custom enterprise services in R/3 ECC System how ESR and Enterprise registry comes in to play? how this whole thing works?

Key message: ESR + SR is part of PI and/or CE and doesn't exist on ECC.
Now regarding your confusion over service created on ECC from FM:
ESR is modeling tool which just model the service, and you can't really execute this service until unless you implement it somewhere (may be ECC). ESR act as central repository of meta-data of all services, however no service execute on ESR and it is just some sort of storage place. Real benefits ESR gives is that you can connect different systems with ESR and extract meta-data (WSDL) to implement webservice in backend (ECC or Java).
On other hand Service Registy act as yellow page where information about actual services is available so if you are looking for some specific service you look into yellopages (Service Registry) and locate the endpoint (actual address) of webservice, again service execute on backend systems not in Service Registry.
When you create service out of FM in ECC then you are still creating service but you are not using ESR, you can also publish service into Yellowpages(Service Registry) so others can locate your service. This approach is called inside-out development, for inside out development you don't need ESR.
You can also design same service in ESR first and then create proxy in ECC and call FM inside proxy, this approach is known as outside-in approach of developing services.
On SCN you can find plenty of information on this subject, and remember outside-in/top down approach is recommended (design first then develop).

There was page on the apple web where you can download a service repair manual. I think is on the apple support page. There was service source package for almost every machine out there. For some reason all I can find now is the user guide
Has that page been move? It was accessible before. Does anyone know where I might find this page? I Google it and I see people selling the service source which was meant to be free.

for which machine? they never fully released a total service guide PDF for most macs to the public, just for certain parts. you have to be an apple authorized service provider to get these types of manuals.
the only other option is to find DIY guides done by others for whatever task you have at hand.

We have the same problem.
Our development team want to yuse these fileds , but do not know how to activaite the fileds on screen ME21N - SERVICE ITEM
On the CONFIGURATION button we can see a whole load of fields from table ESLL but not the one we want.
We followed OSS directions in order to add these fiekds (tables T162V and TCVIEW) but this did not help,
We got an answer from OSS but I (basis) do not undestand 1- want oss want , 2- what effect this can have on the whole system

The fields ESLL-PER_SDATE & ESLL-PER_EDATE are associated with the
switch PSM_FM_CORE_PEROP, which is globally turned off in DV6 system.
So In order to display the fields, you have to activate the switch and
along with that the value should be available in tables TCVIEW and
T162V. Could you please activate the switch and retest the scenario
and let me know about the results.
