Where is NPSWF32.dll on Windows 7 please?

Hi,
I'm trying to fix that terrible dual montior full screen bug by patching NPSWF32.dll - it worked fine on XP but on Windows 7 I can't find the file anywhere to overwrite.
Any suggestions please?
Thanks

Please help!
To be honest, and I don't mean any offense by this, but I'm genuinely surprised that it's taken so long to fix such a huge bug anyway.
What's going on please?

I suggest you try the following
    download the FP uninstaller from http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html (save to disk);
    download the executable installer(s) from http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/fp_distribution3.html (save to disk);
    close all browser windows, then run the downloaded uninstaller;
    restart Windows;
using Windows Explorer go to C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash

  • Where can I download Oracle.DataAccess.Lite.dll for Windows CE 5

    Hi,
I'm starting a project with Visual Studio 2008 and I need to access an Oracle Database.
After searching a lot, I found this page: Oracle Database Lite 10g Mobile Client Windows Mobile, but it's for Windows Mobile 6, do you know where can I found the DLL for Windows CE 5 ?
    Regards,
    Sandro Herbst

Developer 6i is no longer available for download (at least not that I can find: it is not available in the usual places [e-Delivery, OTN, My Oracle Support]). The only way I can think of that you can get the version you need for Red Hat is to contact Oracle Support and submit a special request for the software or if you know someone that has a copy of the software - ask them to make you a copy.
@BelMan, your link at http://www.cedet.dk/ours/otndownloads.html is no longer valid.
    Hope this helps,

Thanks stevejobsfan0123 for the reply, I know I have to buy a disk but when I searched for it on amazon I read many reviews about saying that either it is inadequate or that it's a scam. Do you know any website where I can get a legitimate disk of windows7?

I checked my windows 7 pro machine for the module I see many copies if the DLL with different dates two different sizes all are version 11.0.51106.1 so I guess there are 32bit and 64bit versions. Some are in Adobe folders some in Wacom folders ad in two windows folders including system32.  I do not know if there is and entry point "_crtCreateSymbolicLinkW" in it.

  • Unable to install flash player due to NPSWF32.dll error

My issue is that I recently tried updating my adobe flash
player for use in Firefox. I had removed my old version, and upon
installing the new flash player 10 I was given the message "Error
    opening file for writing:
    C:\windows\system32\macromed\flash\npswf32.dll". After looking at
many tech forums and googling answers I have tried using the adobe
uninstall tool, then rebooting, then installing...I have tried
installing an older version of flash player, and a few other
approaches...none of which worked. I did look in my common files
folder in the C drive and found a "npswf32.dll" file in the "adobe
AIR" folder, however I don't know if this needs to be moved,
deleted, or what. Any advice would be appreciated as I am
frustrated in trying to find a straight answer to fix this and be
able to view video and other flash content on firefox.

    Hi Moe,
I suspect the problem might be due to the use of Windows Embedded as the OS (which I don't believe is on our "supported" OS list).  Did you have any issues with previous versions of the player on these systems (10.x or 9.x)?  Is it possible to take a screenshot of the error dialog you're getting and also include a copy of the flashinstall.log file?  Please feel free to send them to me directly at [email protected]
    Thanks,
    Chris

  • NPSWF32.dll error when installing flash player

I've been trying to install flash player but I keep getting the same error when I try:
Error opening file for writing              C:\windows\system32\macromed\flash\NPSWF32.dll
When I ignore that one I get another error
Error opening file for writing               C:\windows\system32\macromed\flash\NPSWF32_FlashUtil.exe
and then when I ignore this it 'finishes downloading', but it's basically useless and does not work. I went to the location above to see if I could find the file- NPSWF32.dll, but it's not there. There is a macromed and Flash folder but it is empty inside. I downloaded the NPSWF32.dll and tried to put it in the flash folder but the system wouldn't let me. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but I keep getting the same error. it is driving me insane, please help me if you are familiar with this problem. i googled this and saw that a lot of people had this problem as well but i've yet to find a working solution. I'm on windows vista and im using 3.6 firefox.

Hi , The files you are speaking of are removed with the Adobe Uninstaller and then the Installer will install the needed
    files into the Flash folder.
http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html  Download this Uninstaller and put it on your Desktop
http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe This is the FF Installer, SAVE it to your Desktop
Since I don't know what add ons, extensions or plugins you have, Just disable them all for now.
Follow the instructions for the Uninstaller, close all browsers, check the system tray. No programs that use Flash should
    be running.
    Disconnect from the Internet
Disable any and all Anti-Virus/Spyware programs that run in realtime.
Disable any Firewall that you use, except Windows Firewall
Run the Uninstaller from your Desktop, then Reboot. Wait until fully Rebooted, then Reboot again
Run the Installer from your Desktop, then Reboot
Enable your Firewall and your Anti-Virus/Spyware programs
    Connect back to the Internet
Go to this Adobe test site to confirm you have the FP vs 10.0.42.34 installed http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about
Go to your plugins and make sure you have SWF(Shockwave Flash) vs 10.0.42.34 there and it is Enabled
Enable Java-the latest is JRE 6 update 18.
Then check your Flash folder and post back with the files that are now installed.
Now if you have old versions of Java installed(check the Add/Remove) you would need to Remove them via Add/Remove
and install the latest Java. NOTE: You can do this prior to the Uninstall/Install process. Post back and I'll give you the Java install procedure.
    Thanks

  • How to update NPSWF32.dll

As I understand the file c:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash\NPSWF32.dll is part of the Flash?
When updating flash I expect this file to be updated as well as the Flash10*.ocx file? (my current version is that latest -  Flash10l.ocx)
For some reason this is not happening.
Question: How can I update my NPSWF32.dll file to the newest version? (My current version is 10.1.85.3 which is reported by www.Secunia.com to be insecure)
Should this file have been updated by the install_flash_player_10_active_x.msi?
    Any information will be appreciated.
    Harald

Sorry I did forget to mention that I am unattendant updating a lot of PCs (Win XP SP3) using install_flash_player_10_active_x.msi. This file updates the files in C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash\ (Flash10l.ocx, FlashUtil10l_ActiveX.dll, FlashUtil10l_ActiveX.exe etc). On some of the PCs there is also a file called NPSWF32.dll. As I understand this is used by Firefox?
But how can I update the NPSWF32.dll to the latest version running an unnattendant installation? I have found info about a file called NPSWF32_FlashUtil.exe but have not yet found from where I can download it.

Microsoft store will provide a download manager (.exe) using your Product Key, which needs to be run on a PC. This manager will then let you download an ISO image to a USB and/or DVD.

I think that the link error in the end part is solved with this compile error.
Because "sample.makefile.txt" is for GNU make, I tyied to build using Cygwin and GNU make.
but the same compile error went out.
My Knowledge is insufficient concerning C/C++ development....
I have no idea how to deal with this error.
Who can help me about this problem ? please give me some answers!

Where is the summary tab? Please be very explicit

Some of these smart arse answers ignore the fact that often there is no Device option in the sidebar or even a Summary button when a fault occurs.
It isn't a question of not being able to follow simple instructions, it's a design flaw. Having spent many years in the Windows world I came to Apple to get away from this sort of hassle. In every other respect it was the right decision and I'm now a huge fan but the syncing of devices remains poor.
I use an iPad and iMac, both with the latest software, but it's a recurring issue that iTunes suddenly stops recognising the iPad. Apple needs to address this because users don't want to have to become techies to go about day to day activities.
The original question here wasn't at all unreasonable but some of the responses are unhelpfull and arrogant.

    Hello Sad Man.
You may be having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not coming from one of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do that easily and cleanly, run Firefox in [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode safe mode] and select ''Disable all add-ons''. If the problem disappears, you know it's from an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode, and enable them one at a time until you find the source of the problem. See [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes this article] for information about troubleshooting extensions and theme. You can troubleshoot plugins the same way.
If you want support for one of your add-ons, you'll need to contact its author.

    Best Regards,

Since you have the new version installed you don't have anything to worry about. By default, programs will use the files located in the system32-folder first and only resort to using the files in their plug-in folders if the file in question is not in the windows system32-folder. So if the files in the system32 folder are the most recent then you're ok.

  • Using JTWAIN    -   where put JTWAIN.DLL ?

    hi,
I am trying to use JTwain to acquiring images, and I found that JTwain works easy inside the IDE of Netbens.
But a problem come about the installation of the dll_, that is used from the library of Asprise JTwain _(file AspriseJTwain.dll)_.
The documentation of Asprise JTwain says :
Put AspriseJTwain.dll into your system path, e.g., C:\Windows\System32.Following this suggestion my code work fine, but I need to distribute the program; and for this purpose is not comfortable for me that the installation have to do the copy of the file.dll inside the directory C:\Windows\System32.
I would ask if (in order to do the installation easier) it is a different place (than  C:\Windows\System32) where put the dll.
    Thank you for any advice..

Thank you Andrew for you answer,
I don't need use Java Web Start feature.
The application runs not in the web, but in a calculator (in stand alone mode).
    How I said, I put the dll inside the package of the class that need acquire the image;
I think that this is the same that you said:
“to put the DLL in a Jar” .
When I put resources into the packages, usually, the IDE of Netbeans handles all automatically
(make jar files where classes find the resources...), and the jar that is produced execute properly the program.
But this procedure seem that doesn't work if the resource is a dynamic linked library.
The reason of this, I think, is because the dll are particular resources that don't follow the same management
    of the resources of java.
I don't think (and I also hope) that is not my duty (as programmer) to manage the call to the the dll: this duty
is made in the package (library) of Asprise Jtwan... and my supposition is also confirmed, because the program
works fine when the dll is put in the directory C:\Windows\System32.
I think it need to understand better how the JVM uses the work of the Windows XP Operating System.
    Thank you
