I am trying to find the faces config dtd. I am confused as the file does not appear to be at the following address http://java.sun.com/dtd/web-facesconfig_1_0.dtd
Where is it?

you'll find the dtd in your <JWDSP1-2>/jsf/lib/ folder.
This file describes the faces-config.xml file.

I understand that Apple is not required to keep the DTD available at http://www.itunes.com/dtds/podcast-1.0.dtd according to the XML specification.
http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-xml-names/#ns-decl says: "The namespace name, to serve its intended purpose, SHOULD have the characteristics of uniqueness and persistence. It is not a goal that it be directly usable for retrieval of a schema (if any exists)."
However, the technical specification for iTunes podcasts says the document does exist, and that it exists at that location.

I am interested in making a number of podcasts available on the iTunes Music Store, but I do not have any way to programmatically generate the XML file nor can I validate the code without actually submitting the code to the iTMS. It is really nice to have an English-language explanation of some of the tags and how to use them, but that translates poorly into machine-generated code.
I don't mind that Apple doesn't have the file where they specifically say it should be (after all, the spec says it is okay for the file to not even exist) but if the file does exist, I would really like to know where it is so I can use it.

I recognize that feedvalidator.org is recommended by the spec for validation purposes and that manual subscription forces the iTunes engine to validate my RSS file, but without the DTD there is no obvious way to modify my scripts to generate iTunes-happy XML code -- I am thus limited to inserting hand-crafted tags. This seems remarkably inelegant for Apple, and I was hoping that perhaps I was just not very good at finding the DTD, because the alternatives are clumsy trial-and-effort kludges.

All iPhones from official sources in the UAE have FaceTime permanently removed. Sorry, there is no way for you to ever add FaceTime to your phone.

I can still download adf-faces-10_1_3_0_4 which contains the API documents in a /doc directory.

Anyone know where IPHOTO keeps the faces names

I used IPHOTO faces so I could print sets of photographs by person - to send out to those who did not have a copy.
These are scanned in pictures - which include people it took awhile to match up.
As you cannot print the pictures with the legend of who everyone is - wondering if anyone has figured out where the database is.
Guess it would be person, picture ID, Location on screen - and if there is a way to get to it.

You can print the photos in Contact Sheet view with a legend.
If you open each faces stack and assign a keyword with the name of the person to the faces in the stack, you then can print the keyword below each face.

When in iPhoto everything works great except when I am in the "faces" portion

I am having a hard time in Iphoto in the "faces" portion. When I click on the Iphoto faces portion I previously had about 15 people who I had recorded their face etc. Now when I go on the "faces" area there are just 15 blank square boxes. If I double click on any one of them they do say a person who I saved previously and then only a handful of faces that I saved in the past come up, along with blank boxes where the entire face library was. I I go to the "photos' toggle switch in the top right hand section all the pictures fill up every box available, but when I toggle back to 'faces' only a handful show up again. I was just wondering if anyone knows how all these iphoto faces have gone to and how can I retrieve them? Any help is appreciated!

Back up your iPhoto library, Depress and hold the option (alt) and command keys and launch iPhoto - rebuild your iPhoto thumbnails - it may take a few tries

I have 2 profiles , the one profile i did a search for " fingerprint scanner" and I tapped the the button that said fingerprint scanner under search. A dos window opened and the a Gui which helped me store my finger print and associate it with my ID. I went to the other profile and tried the same, the dos window comes up...no GUI. Where is the actual app ?

Where did you get the old one? If it came from the Middle East, FaceTime was removed from those due to government regulations. It can NOT be added back to them.

Where is the 'other' tab in Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles?
It was there before Apple revamped the portal and yes i'm enrolled with the enterprise account.
I need it to generate MDM vendor certificate. I've emailed Apple and no response for the past 3 days. So frustrating.

I check this in Portal308, deleting user from login server is not equal to delete from portal. In PORTAL30.WWSEC_PERSON$ table still remain personal details of deleted user.
Is it bug or right functionality?
For me it is some kind of bug. When you re-create user in sso server it tooks over all pers. data from old user.

Where are my faces/events in aperture

hi ijust bought aperature and when i opend it my faces are missing and my 40 or so events has now being placed into 2 only projects
I had all my extended family put in to places it took ages i need you r help when iwent bact to iphoto there gone from faces and events there as well

I assume, you opened your iPhoto library in Aperture? And then Aperture upgraded the library? What are your versions of iPhoto and Aperture?
Are photos missing, or just all photos dumped into only two projects?
Check, if you have any filters set, that exclude faces and places from being shown.
The search field in the Library Inspector panel will filter projects and albums. Clear this, so it will show "All items".
The search field in the browser will filter the currently selected projects and albums, it should be showing "Show all".
Places and Faces are behaving differently,depending on where you select them. The "Faces/Places" views in the Library Inspector panel should be showing all faces and places, the corresponding buttons in the Tooolbar will only show a subset for the currently selected library item and may appear to be empty.

Are you sure, you opened the correct iPhoto library? Open your iPhoto Library directly in iPhoto by double-clicking it. Is it the correct library, and does it still look like items were missing?
If your Faces/Places are really missing, try if repairing the library will bring back the Faces.
Launch Aperture while holding down the key combination⌥⌘ (option-command), until you are seeing the Library First Aid panel. Select "Repair Database". Are the Faces now back?
If not, restore your iPhoto library from your backup and run the repair in iPhoto, before you open the library in Aperture.

where is the auto blend layers in elements 13? why don't i have a tool bar on the elements page?

That function doesn't exist in Elements, only Photoshop; however, some people have written plug-ins that will allow it so if you're seeing a tutorial maybe that's the situation.
Elements 13 does have several layer blending functions, so will any of those work for what you want to do?

I just updated to iTunes 12 and I don't seem to be able to find where he Airplay feature vanished to in iTunes 12 ?
I have a Wireless Zepplin and Rotel Hi-Fi (controlled by Airport Express and Arcam IR DAC) and I don't seem to be able to bounce my iTunes music onto my system as I was able to do so simply before on iTunes 11.
I know it's probably somewhere staring me in the face... but any help would be much appreciated.

All sorted.... I restarted my new iTunes 12 and the Airplay icon appeared alongside the volume feature.
All sorted. Panic over, balance in the universe has been restored again once more...

What belongs in the faces-config.xml file? Just bean and navigation info?

I am looking for detailed information on the faces-config.xml file.
I've used examples up to this point and I was wondering where the documentation for this configuration file was at.
At this point, I know that bean management and navigation information is in this file, but are there other settings?

This is a user to user Forum, so you are not really addressing Adobe here, even though some Adobe employees thankfully have been dropping by.

Concluding something does not work because you fail at using it is not necessarily always justified.
The Quick Selection Tool certainly has limitations, but your post seems to be more about venting than trouble-shooting – otherwise you might have posted an image where you failed to get an expected result.

The delete key or backspace key is all that there is on a MacBook. It functions as a backward delete. If you want to use a forward delete, you need to hold down the fn (function) key in the bottom left of your keyboard and hit the delete or backspace key. For a more functional or normal approach for heavy writing, I might suggest an external keyboard with the forward delete key in place. -GDF
