Where is the Lion OS download link?

Just bought iMac.  It came with Snow Leopard.  It is supposed to let me download Lion for free.  But I cannot find a link on the website.  Not the $29.99 link button since I am not supposed to pay.  I can find downloads for many add ins, but not for Lion O/S

For the sake of completeness and in the spirit of giving back (thanks to those who posted help above):
problem solved.  They really do need your credit card information and it has to match up to your iTunes account card before you can download Lion.  Also, they will generate a very long code and then you have to enter that code into another window. Pretty cumbersome.  And now I am waiting for the Lion download to finish.  I see comments from others that this is taking a very long time for them and it is for me.  I understand that this is a new method for Apple to deliver downloads of its software.  Looks like Apple servers are not able to support this approach at this time.
At one point in the process they will ask you the place of purchase and right under that the city.  The place of purchase is who sold it to you and if it was the Apple Online Store you should enter Apple.com.  The example they show is XYZ company.  That is not supposed to be the company you work for, but the location of the seller. The next line down is the City.  You might think from the context that this is the City of the seller, but IT IS NOT. It is the city where you live.  Apple should clarify that.  A feedback to Apple for what its worth:
Seems redundant to ask for the seller name and the buyer city since they also already have your credit card, the serial number of your device, your apple account ID, your name, your email address, Etc.  Sure does not convey that Apple is sensitive to privacy issues.

If you haven't run the installer yet, it is sitting in your /Applications folder. If you have run it, I'm afraid its already gone. When you run the installer, it self deletes.
To avoid this, you have to make a copy of the installer.app BEFORE you install (in other words, after the download completes and the installer app automatically starts, quit it, then go to /Applications and copy 'Install Mountain Lion.app').

Spent some time trying to find a Safari download site with no success.  I found lots of Safari sites but no Safari download site.  Where is the iMac Safari download site?

(The following does not apply to users of Lion OS 10.7 or later)
If your Safari keeps crashing, or if you are updating Safari (or just have) and it is misbehaving:
N.B. Never delete Safari, never run it under Rosetta, don't use proxy settings, and don't change the application's name or move it from the top level of the Applications Folder to a sub-folder.
(If you prefer to download updates via Software Update in the Apple menu (which would ensure that the correct version for your Mac was being downloaded), it is not recommended to allow SU to install major (or even minor) updates automatically. Set Software Update to just download the updater without immediately installing it. There is always the possibility that the combined download and install (which can be a lengthy process) might be interrupted by a power outage or your cat walking across the keyboard, and an interrupted install will almost certainly cause havoc. Once it is downloaded, you can install at a time that suits you. You should make a backup copy of the updater on a CD in case you ever need a reinstall. Alternatively you can download Safari directly:
Safari 4.1.3 for Tiger can be downloaded here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1069
Safari 5.0.6 for Leopard can be downloaded from here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1422
Safari 5.1 for Snow Leopard can be downloaded from here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1070
Make sure you download the correct version for your system.
Also, observe the recommended procedure for installing software: repair permissions and close all applications, install, then repair permissions again.)
Input Managers and other plug-ins from third parties can do as much harm as good. They use a security loophole to reach right into your applications' code and change that code as the application starts up.  If Safari is crashing, the very first thing to do is clear out your InputManagers folders (both in your own Library and in the top-level Library), log out and log back in, and try again.
So, disable all third party add-ons before updating Safari, as they may not have been updated yet for the new version. Add them back one by one. If something goes awry, remove it again and check on the software manufacturer's website for news of an update to match your version of Safari. Remember: Tiger up to 10.4.10 used Safari 2.0.4, Tiger 10.4.11 uses Safari 4.1.3, Leopard uses Safari 5.0.6,  and Snow Leopard uses Safari 5.1.x. If these latest versions of Safari are not the fastest browser you have ever used, then something is wrong!
(Trying to revert to a previous version of Safari  can have repercussions, as previous versions of Safari used a completely different webkit on which other applications like iChat, Mail, Dashboard Widgets etc also rely, but if you really want to do this post back for instructions on the safe way to do so.)
Most errors reported here after an update are due to an unrepaired or undetected inherent fault in the system, and/or a third party ad-on. Add-ons that have been frequently mentioned here, among others, for causing such problems are Piclens, Saft, AcidSearch and Pithhelmet, and the dreaded CT Toolbar. If you have them, trash them, and go the developer's sites to see if new versions are available for the latest version of Safari on your current operating system.
You must also ensure that you have downloaded and installed all the correct version for your Mac of Security Updates. These require a restart and a permission repair.
To reiterate, Input Managers reach right into an application and alter its code. This puts the behavior of the affected application outside the control and responsibility of its developers: a recipe for  problems. That's not to say that issues absolutely will ensue as a result of Input Managers, but you, as a user, must decide. If the functionality of a specific Input Manager or set thereof is really important to you, you may well choose to assume the associated risk.
Again, the advice is to remove all Input Managers from the following directories:
    Hard Disk/Library/InputManagers
    Home/Library/InputManagers
especially prior to system updates and updates to Safari (they can always be added back one-by-one later).
Lastly, the Safari updates require a restart of your Mac, and sometimes even a double restart is required.

You can download the trial from the Adobe site https://www.adobe.com/products/cs6.html and activate it with your serial number.
Alternatively you can download it directly (without any download manager) from http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cs6-direct-download-links.html - make sure you follow the Very Important Instructions before proceeding to the download.

    On your Computer...
    Open iTunes...
If you're using iTunes 11 click on the box icon in the top-left corner to see the " Show Menu Bar "
and from the Menu Bar select Store...
From the Store menu, choose Authorize This Computer.
(In earlier versions of iTunes, access this option from the Advanced menu).
When prompted, enter your Apple ID and password, then click Authorize.

At the AppStore - you should see it on the "Updates" pane of the App Store, if you own a previous version of iPhoto 9.x.x. and are signed in with your AppleID.
If you do not own an iPhoto 9.x.x version, buy iPhoto 9.6 from the "Featured" page of the App Store.

  • Where is the Lion download stored?

Just finished downloading and installing Lion on my iMac. I'd now like to install it on my MBP, but really don't want to download another 3.7 gigs of data. Where is the download stored? Is it saved after installation?

I have read that it is placed here, though I've not been able to confirm this yet:
    /Applications/Install Mac OS X Lion

  • Where can I find the Lion OS Download

I have a Macbook from 2007 that I can't update to Mountain Lion on.  I just updated to Snow Leopard and now I want to update to the most current OS I can on my computer.  My first question is, Will Lion work on my computer?  The second question is where can I find the Lion OS to download?

    1. Choose About this Mac from the Apple menu and check that the computer has a Core 2 Duo(not Core Duo) or better CPU and at least 2GB of RAM; these are required for using 10.7.
    2. Phone the online Apple Store and order a download code for it.

  • Where is the lion download

I am looking for the Lion dmg file or whatever the downloaded image file name is for Lion.  I sometimes use the install dvd to "clean up" things like privlages and such by booting from the install dvd and re-setting the password.  This in the past has really speeded up boot time.  So i now have Lion and in general it perfroms pretty well. So, where is the downloaded file? I want very much to create a DVD for my own use on my laptop but cant find it anywhere. Anybody got any ideas?
    Thanks
    Bob G

When you download the upgrade to Lion it is in your Application folder but is deleted after install.
To do what you used to do from a DVD you now do from the Recovery Partition: OS X Lion: About Lion Recovery.
The nearest thing to a separate DVD is the Lion Recovery Disk Assistant.

    Colin R.

  • Where is the Lion OS X Download????!!!

I am looking for the Lion (not mountain Lion) OS download in the App Store as my MacBook doesn't support Mountain Lion. I have not been able to find it. I have tried searching "Lion", "Lion OS X", "OS X Lion", "10.7 OS X", etc... anyone????!!!!!

If you need to purchase Lion call 1-800-692-7753 or 1-800-676-2775. Ask for a Sales Representative. They will check your Apple ID, and email you a code and instructions.  The cost is $29.99 (as it was before) plus tax.  It's a download.

  • Where is the "check for purchases" link in the store menu?

I purchased music, and it shows up in my purchase history, but it didn't download. iTunes support told me to click the "check for purchases" link in the store menu, but for some reason (maybe I'm blind), I can't find it anywhere--can someone please tell me exactly where to look on the page? Thanks!

I opened my eyes, and lo and behold, there it was, on the top of the screen the store MENU, not the iTunes store page. Duh.
