Where is the Ringtones folder for iTunes?

I've created some ringtones and now I need to place them in the correct folder so that iTunes will load them.
Can anyone point me to where the folder should be?
Thanks,
David

I don't think the problem lies in the iTunes programme. Try turning off the iPhone then turn it back on and plug it in the computer. If it doesn't work try resetting it. Go to Settings>General>Reset. Choose the option to keep your data and reset it. Plug your iPhone in the computer.

  • Where is the ringtones folder on iTunes?

I have followed all the steps to make a new ringtone on my macbook pro to then transfer to my iPhone, but I cannot find my ringtones folder in iTunes.

it's a folder called 'tones', if it's not showing on your main page, go to itunes, preferences.

  • Where is the ringtones folder in Itunes to put an .m4r in?

i have an .m4r file i wish to use as a ringtone but for the life of me I can't find a "ringtones" folder in my iTunes (version 10) to drop it in!
I have been told it is on the left hand side, but it just isn't there.
How do I find this folder?
    Thanks

Did any of that make sense?
    I think so.
A possible cause for splitting up the album is an extra "space" character at the end of the title, which you would not see, or between two words and you just can't notice it. The cure for this is to copy the Album Title from one track and paste it into all the other tracks. Then you know that every track has the same information.
Another cause is guest artists. If the album's artist is Fred X (for example) and therefore each track is listed as "Fred X", but one song has a guest artists and the artist field says "Fred X and his mate", then that track would be separated out from the others. The usual work round for this problem is to put the guest artist at the end of the song title and delete him (and the space after X) from the artist's field.

  • Where is the ringtone file in iTunes?

Where is the ringtone file in iTunes?  I am trying to download some ringtones in there.  The website says to save the sound file to the ringtone file in itunes so when I sync I can transfer it over to my iphone

iTunes>Preferences>General>Show>Tones...make sure Tones is checked. If you can't see the sidebar: iTunes>View>Show Sidebar.
If the ringtone has the proper extension: m4r, simply dropping it on the iTunes app logo will put it in the proper location.

  • Where is the "accept" button for iTunes Store Terms and Conditions on the iPad?

Where is the "accept" button for iTunes Store Terms and Conditions?  Can't use iTunes on my iPad without accepting conditions.

Which tab in the iTunes app are you in ? If you are in the Downloads tab then the Ts & Cs link shows if you don't have any outstanding downloads - your download and synced films and TV shows should be in the Videos app and your music, audiobooks and audio podcasts in the Music app

  • I do not see the ringtone folder in itunes library

the ringtone folder is not in the itunes library. I've read other posts on how to find it and still don't see it. I see one for tones.  I tried to move a ringtone to the music file for it to automatically populate the folder and that didnt work either.

Tones is the new name for Ringtones. If the entry is missing in the left-hand column of iTunes then enable it from Edit > Preferences > General tab.
If your existing tones are not syncing properly to your iOS device then uncheck the option to Sync Tones from the Tones tab when the device is connected, sync the device, check the option and sync again.
A properly constituted .m4r file (<30secs AAC at 128k) thrown into the Automatically add to iTunes folder should end up getting added to the correct section of the library.

  • Where is the extension folder for Adobe Bridge? (Mac)

I am trying to install the output module on Adobe Bridge. I am totally new to Creative Suite and photoshop. I can't find any information on bridge extensions at all. Here's the page I found on installing the output module- http://helpx.adobe.com/bridge/kb/install-output-module-bridge-cc.html
I downloaded it but after that is says to copy it into the extension folder. Where is the extension folder? Is it is Bridge? Is it in Finder? Any information on extensions is much appreciated! What exactly are extensions? What is the difference between the extension folder and extension manager?
    Thank you!

At first sight I can' see anything wrong about the correct locations you used.
There was no need to delete all workspaces but that also should do no harm I would think.
You once pointed at the bridge6.plist file but it is not clear to me what you did with it. Personally I would quit Bridge and delete this plist file manually and then restart with again holding down option and use reset preferences.
And you did also use the reset to standard workspaces instead of the reset workspace to only reset the selected workspace. I don't know for sure this will make a difference but it is worth a try.
And while you are in the user library to delete the plist file for Bridge also look in the folder caches in this library.
User / library/caches/adobe/Bridge CC and inhere find and delete both the plug in and cache folder, then restart Bridge.
Finally it might be also worth a try to download CS6, it should not be needed to do so but it was one of the earlier solutions that worked. In your ACC menu click on any app that shows blue and this brings you to the CC website. Choose download center and find PS. Click on the icon and this gives you the detailed download page. Inhere you can change CC to CS6.
Download PS6 it and install it (this also installs the CS6 version of Bridge which was not a separate download in CS6). Then try first start CS6 and start the AOM which is installed by default in this version.
Then when having used this once quit CS6 and try CC (or even combine with restarting your Mac).
Hope this helps, because I'm running out of options

  • Where is the photo library for itunes 11 on a 64-bit windows 7 computer?

I am trying to find the photo library in itunes 11 but it doesnt show up - only TV shows, movies, music, etc.  I go to Edit --> Preferences --> General tab and under sources there is no photo option - where did it go?

There is no Photo Library in iTunes and there never has been.
When you connect your iPod to your iTunes Library, select the iPod icon on the top right of the window (don't eject it):
    and then ...
and next, choose the folder that you want to use to Sync with your iPod...
... which in my case is named "Touch Pictures".

  • Where is the Shared folder for the Themes?

While I know that the official position is that the calendar themes can not be changed, I see a reference to Shared/Backgrounds/Solid/aged-paper-cover.jpg in the vintage theme.
Where can I find this and other images to edit? I tried looking for it in the contents of iPhoto to no avail.
I know I'm doing this at my own risk. I know to make backups first. I just want to know where the theme template images reside.
    Thanks.

I've not been able to find any editable files that are associated with a calendar in either the Application Support/iPhoto folder or the application itself. What version of iPhoto was the reference referring to? Can you provide the link to the reference?
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier versions) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. There are versions that are compatible with iPhoto 5, 6, 7 and 8 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. Just put the application in the Dock and click on it whenever you want to backup the dB file. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
NOTE: The new rebuild option in iPhoto 09 (v. 8.0.2), Rebuild the iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup" makes this tip obsolete.

  • Where is the 'Goodies' Folder for CS6?

Doing a fresh install of CS6 Extended on a new computer (Windows 7).  In an earlier version of PS there was a folder called Goodies and it contained the HSB/HSL filter.  When I upgraded from those previous versions the plugins and filters migrated automatically or I simply copied from the Plugins>Filters folder of the old version to the new.  Looking at the extracted files for CS6, I'm not seeing the 'Goodies' folder.  Further, when I look in c>Program Files>Adobe>CS6>Plugins, there's no Filters folder, just a Panels folder.
    Assistance appreciated.  Thanks.

    Hi,
You can find information regarding the optional Ps CS6 content here:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/plug-ins-photoshop-cs61.html
We no longer distribute or include a 'Goodies' folder on disk. For the HSB/HSL filter, you'll want to grab the 'OptionalMultiPlugin' plug-in, which bundles of a couple plug-ins. Also the shipping plug-ins have been moved from the directory you might expect to find them. Any additional 3rd party plug-in or optional plug-in can still be installed to these path without needing to add /Filters:
Windows 7 and Vista (32 bit): Program Files (x86)/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CS6/Plug-ins folder
    Windows 7 and Vista (64 bit): Program Files/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CS6 (64 bit)/Plug-ins folder
    Hopefully this answers your questions.
    regards,
    steve

  • Where is the root folder for pictures on OSX? I need to transfer to an external harddrive.

I have an older Pro and want to transfer the pictures to an external hard drive. I cannot find the root folder. I know they say it is hidden, but can't find it! Help!
PS My DVD drive is broke, or I would just burn a DVD.

Pictures is the folder within each User's Home directory.
    /Users/YourUsername/Pictures
It is not hidden in Mac OS 10.6. (as shown in your profile)
In Finder click on the User's home folder with the house icon, to see it.
There is the possibility that you can't find it because it no longer exists. It could have been accidentally deleted.
EDIT: If you are referring to the photos in iPhoto, these are contained in the iPhoto Library folder, which is located in the Picutres folder.
Copying the entire iPhoto Library folder, to an external will make a backup of your photos.
