Where on my MAC are "PAGES" Templates Stored

This question has been asked before - but there was NEVER a good answer.
I created a new "Template" using PAGES. I want to find this "Template" that was supposedly stored in "My Templates" - which cannot be found using "FINDER". I need to capture a copy of this template to share with another Mac user.
Can anyone tell me how to find this "Template" and email it to my friend ... and then how to capture it on his Mac and install it in his PAGES TEMPLATES?

I reread the answers given to one of the other questions and I have to admit that I'm not ready to use 'Finder' to find the Templates in the way it was described. And, I'm also not ready to try to import it back into my friend's Mac.
I'll do what the other fellow suggested and save the Template as a Pages document and then share that with my friend and import it to his 'Templates' on his version of Pages because he may not have the same version that I do.
I'm humbled by your answer.

  • Were are iweb templates stored?

Were are iweb templates stored? And how editable are they?

The iWeb templates are stored in XML files which can be edited, but it's definitely not for the faint of heart. Thankfully, starting with iWeb 1.1, Apple at the very least started including "blank" templates, which probably satisfied a lot of people wishing for the ultimate in flexibility. Suzanne Boben's work is very good, though...you should take a look.
One poor man's way of making a template page is to start with a blank template, customize it to your specifications, and then save it as a custom template in your site organizer window. By that, I mean keep it as a "page" in your site organizer, but don't display it in your navigation menu by unchecking the box "Include in navigation menu" in the Inspector Page tab. Keep this "template" clean. Whenever you want to make a real page out of this template, just select it and Control-click, then select "Duplicate" from the menu. THen you can add unique information to this copy and still keep the "template" clean and safe. See how this is the poor man's custom template?

  • Where are Word templates stored?

I cannot locate the Templates directory to store a new Word template. A search of the Mac shows the templates themselves, BUT does not indicate where they are located.

While this is very helpful because it does indicate where the templates should be stored, this was not my problem. I am very familiar with Word & other Office templates, creating them, using templates provided by others, and storing them. I have worked with Office on a Mac for about 5 years.
The templates are stored under /Users/username/Library/App... The problem turned out to be upgrading to Mavericks. During the upgrade, the ability to see "Library" directories was removed. Once I found that and how to turn it back on, I was able to easily store the template.
So thanks baltwo....I just wish Apple didn't arbitrarily turn things off with out supplying a long list of Installation Notes that explained how the things they changed affect other apps, etc.  Or just leave well enough alone. Sigh...

  • Where are My Templates stored?

Had to do a clean install and want to copy forward my Numbers and Pages templates from a Time Machine back-up.

Thanks for the reply. I need to clarify that I was running Yosemite prior to performing the clean install. I followed the file hierarchy you describe but there is no Library folder within my User folder, as I navigate through my Time Machine back-up. There is a Library folder inside the icon for my internal hard drive that contains an Application Support folder. Inside that folder, I have iWork '08 and iWork '09 sub-folders but no subfolder within for Numbers (and hence no Templates folder).
Could it be that these folders are hidden or in some other location or possibly the file hierarchy in Time Machine is different than in an active directory?

  • Where to add mac filter without template on Prime 2.0?

    Hi,
Can someone point me to where I should go to add mac filter under security>AAA in Prime 2.0 directly to controller without using templates? Check the screenshot attached. there is no option to add filter. It only give option to edit. Going to Classic view I see the add option is available. Puzzled. Any help is appreciated.
    Cheers,
    Fadi

I am unabl eto find any way to configure mac-address filter without template. To configure with template you can go through the following steps-
Step 1 Choose Configure > Controller Template Launch Pad.
Step 2 Click MAC Filtering or choose Security > MAC Filtering from the left sidebar menu. The Security > MAC Filtering page appears.
Step 3 If you want to add a new template, choose Add Template from the Select a command drop-down list, and click Go. To modify an existing template, click the template name. The MAC Filtering template page appears.
Step 4 If you keep Import From File enabled, you must enter a file path or click Browse to navigate to the file path. The import file must be a CSV file with MAC address, profile name, interface, and description (such as 00:11:22:33:44:55, Profile1, management, test filter). If you unselect the Import from File check box, continue to Step 5. Otherwise, skip to Step 8.
    The client MAC address appears.
Step 5 Choose the profile name to which this MAC filter is applied or choose the any Profile option.
Step 6 Use the drop-down list to choose from the available interface names.
Step 7 Enter a user-defined description of this interface. Skip to Step 9.
Step 8 If you want to override the existing template, select the Override existing templates check box.
    Step 9 Click Save.

  • Where is the code for html template stored on the server

I would like to make changes to the html template source code, mainly to update the hard coded server name in it.
Instead of doing one by one in portal builder, I would like to search for all on the server.
Can someone tell me where are they stored?
    Thanks.

    wow!
well, if you wish to do it programmatically, you will have something generic to search and replace (like the hardcoded servername as you said). that will not be sitting in any variable to go and edit. in other words, you wanna edit an uncategorized content value so it will be a job to search and find it in a general text attribute/field value. it will be a pain.
one method could be to write a script (shell, nt, csh, sh, or simply sed) to make all of those generic changes in any template content. now copy and paste all items out in a temp file, run the script, and paste back the output to the template.
however, if you're determined to modify uncategorized content using APIs, you might wanna try this:
Look into wwsbr_api.set_attribute and look for wwsbr_api.ATTRIBUTE_ITEM_TEMPLATE to focus on the template you have. It might work out. more on it is here.
    hope that helps!

  • Where (in the filesystem) are network settings stored?

    Hello,
i did a clean install of mavericks, and want to import the network settings from an older backup i did (have both: 10.8 full backup and 10.9 library folder backup) into the new system; unfortunately i don't know where they are stored, and can't seem to find any information on this issue!
I searched all of the preferences and application support folders, but no success.
does anyone know more about this?
    thanks & kind regards

ah, thanks! i read about "SystemConfiguration" before, but didn't find it - i searched in the user's library folder, but it's the "global" library folder. only have the user library backup with me now, but will check later when i get home. thanks!

  • WHERE ARE TEMPLATES STORED ON MAC

Where are Captivate templates stored on Macs?  I have an ongoing issue that still isn't resolved i.e. I can't access captivate after installing it and I'm wondering if this may be connected.  I cannot find any templates on my Mac for captivate, when I try and open a new project 'From Template' it simply opens the my documents folder and even though I've looked for a '.cptl' I cannot find any.
Am I being simple or should there be some file in this format somewhere on my hard drive if Captivate has installed properly
Any help on this and of course my original posting would be greatly appreciated
    Kind regards
    Martyn

I have not found any .cptl files installed on my Mac. I did create one that I had someone helping me use. Unfortunately, she keep saving it as a template and in doing such, create a bigger mess down the road.
The issues I had with using them created such 'challenges' i have steered away from using them. The potential for goodness was there, but it made more work for me in the long run.
The template made 'ghost' slides in our projects and were a pain to find to remove. I basically looked for images or video in the library that had duplicates and then it deleted it from the library. In doing such, it showed the template slide. I was then able to hit the delete key to remove it. And then 50 or so others. Doing this, it dropped the Captivate file down to a third of the size since I was able to finally get rid of all the hidden stuff.

  • Where templates stored for Pages 5.0?

Where are my Templates stored in Pages 5.0?  Previous versions of Pages stored Templates in Application Support/iWork/pages.   Not so for version 5!!   NBut where?
    Thanks.

Do not double click.. right click and then choose view package content
from my post in a similar thread
In ~/Library/Containers/ you will find a file called com.apple.Iwork.Pages
It's a container. If your right click and choose view package you will find a folder structure. Follow that structure to Data->Library/Application Support/User Templates and "voilá" there are your templates."

  • Where are the objects of the templates stored?

Virtually all hte themes in iweb 08 have little png files here and there. I know I can cpy form one them and past to another but I would really like to know where these files are kept! Their titles are generally given in the metrics ispector (such as star.png, for instance from the travel theme).
I do a spotlight search for star.png expecting a folder where template graphics are stored and find nothing! I would like to know where all these objects are so perhaps, as I create my own templates, I have one place to view what is available rather than opening each page within each theme individually just to see what kind of little stock graphics are included with iweb 08. I suppose i don't HAVE to know where these are but it's killing me that all these objects with file names cannot be searched and found anywhere on my mac! Any ideas? Thanks!

Spotlight doesn't seem to index items within .app packages, therefore it is quite useless to search anything inside a .app package (an application).
You need to get into Unix to get around this limitation, there are a few Unix CLIs to accomplish this... my favorite is locate (this also needs indexing)... a quick locate gave me these:
    /Applications/iWeb.app/Contents/Resources/English.lproj/Templates/About Me/Road Trip About Me.webtemplate/star.png
    /Applications/iWeb.app/Contents/Resources/English.lproj/Templates/Movie/Road Trip Movie.webtemplate/star.png
    /Applications/iWeb.app/Contents/Resources/Themes/Road Trip.webtheme/Shared/star.png
There you go, star.png is in Road Trip theme/template, there is no need for another app

  • Where are the .joboptions stored on a Mac for InDesign CC?

Where are the .joboptions stored on a Mac for InDesign CC?
I put them in the usual directory:      /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe PDF/Settings   .  .  . but they are not seen by InDesign CC.
. . . Photoshop, Illustrator, Distiller and Acrobat are seeing my custom profiles and any default profiles I removed are not there for those apps.
Even older versions of all these apps and InDesign 6 and 5 see my custom profiles.
But InDesign CC only shows the ones shown in the screen shot below:  (High Quality, the PDF/X versions[3], Press and Smallest size)
I know I can probably do a "Load" profile, but that's not the point and I need to remove the default profiles.
I'm in a multiple user environment and need to lock down the use of profiles to our companies select few.
Did a thorough search of the entire Mac and PDF/X- does not even show up.   Any suggestions?     Anyone?    I'm scratchin'  my head at this point.

      This was the correct answer:
Laubender     Jun 2, 2014 12:18 AM  (in response to Maurice Castelbuono)
@Maurizio – the standard settings, the joboption files with the brackets like [PDF/X-1a:2001] are stored inside the inDesign app for InDesign CC 9.2.1.
The path for these would be:
    /Applications/Adobe InDesign CC.app/Contents/MacOS/Resources/Adobe PDF/settings/mul
or with a Japanese version of InDesign:
    /Applications/Adobe InDesign CC.app/Contents/MacOS/Resources/Adobe PDF/settings/japan
If you do a right-click on the InDesign app you can show them with "Show Package Contents" options.
All other PDF joboptions that you are creating are relative to your current User Library. They are stored in:
    ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe PDF/Settings
Where the tilde sign at the beginning indicates the home of the currently used user.
You can access ~/Library, if you press the alt key when accessing the "Go To" menu in the Finder. Otherwise it's invisible.

  • Where are image files stored for tiled backgrounds in the templates?

I am working with a template, but wanted to change the image that is set to tile in the background of one of the text boxes. I wanted to use another image that is set to tile in a different box, but I cannot locate this image. When changing the image on the Image Fill, after I click Choose, I need to point to an image file - anyone know where these images that are in the templates are stored?

The files are located in the theme package that's located in the iWeb application: iWeb/Contents/Resources/Themes folder. From there you find the theme, open the package and drill down till you find the image files. You will have to use Quickview to locate the one you want.
    What theme are you using?

  • Where are the page lists stored?

Ok I did search, but frankly I think the search on this site is horrible. If its already been answered 50 times, yell at me.
I want to build a tree menu on my homepage that is a navigation throughout the site. Sort of like the example from OTN http://www.oracle.com/technology/oramag/oracle/06-may/o36apex.html. But I want to make it much less complex.
My intention is to build a really simple form where the Admin select a page number, parent page number, and chooses a title. Behind the scenes the URL gets built using the page number. So when you query from my navigation table, everything will fall in line.
So my question is this - I know the page numbers are stored somewhere because Apex has LOV's up the wazoo with this functionality already. Can someone either give me the query used, or provide me with a table where I can find this? I tried to login to Vikas's workspace today, but it seems all but 2 of his applications are gone now, so I can't look at the Apex Builder Application =(
    Thanks!
EDIT - I realize you are all going to say this is just re-building the functionality of a List - and it is to some degree. I just want to challenge myself to build it in my own app for my own knowledge.

Welp after much digging I found it - WWV_FLOW_STEPS but since its not granted to users on the Oracle site, I will skip this idea. I may try it on my own box to see how it will come out.
