Where to download Oracle 11G lib32 for Linux x86-64

Hi,
can you tell me where to download 11G 32bit client for Linux 86-64? I need the 32 bit lib.
Thanks

Hello,
You should install the Client which match your platform.
If you have a Linux *32 bit* platform you should choose this Client:
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/enterprise-edition/downloads/112010-linuxsoft-085393.html
If you have a Linux *64 bit* platform then, you should use the link I sent you on my previous post:
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/enterprise-edition/downloads/112010-linx8664soft-100572.html
I'm not sure about Linux, but I know that on Unix, Oracle for 64 bit platform has 2 directories for the Library:
$ORACLE_HOME/lib      --> 64 bit
$ORACLE_HOME/lib32    --> 32 bitI guess you may have the same components on Linux.
Hope this help.
Best regards,
Jean-Valentin

    hi,
I have installed VM WARE on my laptop now want to download linux ISO and Oracle ISO. Red Hat, Centos and Oracle Enterprise Linux are almost identical. The major differences are:
    - Red Hat and Oracle Enterprise Linux are officially supported by Oracle to be used under Oracle products;
    - CentOS is NOT officially supported
    - the newer Oracle Enterprise Linux (OEL) includes an 'oracle-validate' rpm to reduce configuration guessing
Each Distro has it's purpose. I use SUSE and OpenSUSE for my office. And for general servers I use RedHat (when I need commercial support) and CentOS. I fully support CentOS and the CentOS community effort.
However, for the past year I have ONLY used Oracle Enteprise Linux under Oracle product. It is free, it is officially supported, if I need commercial support I can get it, and it has the Oracle Validated RPM to minimize my config effort. http://edelivery.oracle.com
So, as compared to the other respondent - I encourage using OEL and NOT CentOS.

Can someone please investigate this issue.

    - log out of OTN completely
    - clear all cookies and cached files in your browser
    - log back in again

Yes there is. The Oracle documentation site can be found at:

Go to that link, and select your version (11g Release 1 or Release 2), and then select the "Installation" link.
From there you should find everything you need :)

  • Unable to download Oracle 11g tools for VS2008

I checked the checkbox to agree to the terms, clicked on the button below it and got the page with the 200MB zip file (size is an estimate because I can't see the page right now). I click on that zip file to download and the page just gives me errors (the typical deer in headlights look when something's missing). I have tried this on two different machines using IE7.
I want to download the VS2008 11g tools so I can get started with this exciting technology.
    Thanks!

I'm not even getting that far... It just fails after trying for about 30 seconds.
Update: My colleague here at the office just downloaded it and it is zero length... Completely useless.
I know it is free, but can't a company the size of Oracle please take care of this as soon as possible? We are in budget decision mode and they always want solid answers for technical direction. We need to do some testing against our 11g database with VS2008 and we can't do something as simple as download the tools!!! It's absurd, quite frankly! Hey Oracle!!! Get it fixed please! Heellllpppp!

  • Oracle 9i Database for Linux

    Hello,
I need to be able to test some software changes against an Oracle 9i database running under Linux as this is an environment used by one of my customers.
I have tried downloading the zip files found at http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/oracle9i/htdocs/linuxsoft.html but if I try to open or download any of these files I receive an Error 404 Page Cannot Be Loaded.
This happens when using IE6 or when using GetRight.
Are the links to these files still valid? If not, where can I download Oracle 9i Database for Linux?

I don't find any problems with these files and they are still available.
