  • BOM Where used list

    Hi All,
Is there any report of BOM which will suffice the requirement like if am putting any level of component like where used list the system will display the highest level of material.
    e.g
    'A' having component X , Y AND Z
    'X' having compnent P Q and R
    P having component L, M and N.
if am putting component to search what is the highest level of assembly material, for my requirement i required it should give display of materail 'A'.
I had gone through where used list report CS15 but which is giving only header of the selected component and my requirement it give top material of the assembly.
    Plz suggest its urgent.
    Regards,
    Rajesh

    Hi,
Probably it is not possible to have this in Standard SAP.
You need to consider Custom report for this.
In your case you wanted the diplay of Header Material.
Say, your BOM is having 10 level structure and you wanted to have the 8/9th Level Material as input in your report and you wanted the Header Material (Lowest Level) as output.
You need to conider the Low Level Code of the Input Material.
One more thing is this same component may be part of some other Materials as well.
Hope this helps in decision making and some sort of Logic to build the regport..

    Siva

  • About the Where-used list in BOM

    Hi,
can anybody tell how to use the function moudle 'CS_WHERE_USED_MAT' to get the list of materials for each BOM component. Here I have to take inputs from the tables MAST, STKO, STPO
Thanks a lot for your valuable time,
    Regards,
    Bhaskar

    Hi,
The significance of Where used list is that, one can know about an item, where all it being used.
For eg.. If an item 'A' is used in assemblies X,Y,Z(BOM). If you use CS15 and enter item A and Qty., the result shows that, item A is required in X,Y,Z BOMs.
One need not remember about, where the item being used. Just you can use this transaction and know

  • Function module to replicate CA81 (Resource where used list)

    Hi,
Is there a FM or BAPI to replicate CA81 (Resource where used list)?
    Regards
    Gary B

    Dear Sankaran,
These are the Functional Modules which you can use,
CS_WHERE_USED_MAT            Bills of material; where-used list
CS_WHERE_USED_MAT_ANY    Bills of material; where-used list as material or class item
MASS_WHERE_USED                where used list for mass maintenance screens
CSEP_MAT_BOM_SELECT_WHERE_USED API Bills of Material: Select BOM(s)
But Multi-level is not possible as far I knew.
You can use either the 1st or the 4th Functional Module for preparing the report.
No other way of getting a report simliar to CS15.

  • Component where used list

    Dear PP Gurus,
My client requires a where used list report for material part number.
When i give the part number, it should display the Semi FG/FG part number in whose BOM that part number is component.
Is there any standard report in system?
If no , through which tables i can create such report using SQVI or do i need ABAP help?
    Thanks & Regards
    Shalini

    Dear Shalini,
If you want to display the where used list for a single material you can use T code CS15.
If it's more muliple material, then You have to develop a small report in order to meet your client's
    requirement.
For this you can use the FM's CSEP_MAT_BOM_SELECT_WHERE_USED or else
CS_WHERE_USED_MAT. Prepare the functional Spec's and prepare a customized report.

  • Where-Used List for Assemblies

    Hi PM Experts,
Can you tell me hw to see the Where-Used List for assemblies.I m using CS15 T-Code for the same, but the problem is that i can see only for one assembly not for multiple assemblies.what is t-code for multiple.
    Regards,
    Raju chauhan

If I understand the question correctly, you want to search for multi-level assembiles (materials) with a BOM which is linked to and equipment or functional location e.g.
    Floc
    -> BOM
    --> Assembly 1
    ---> Assembly A
    ---> Assembly B
    > Assembly B1
If so, then I don't theing there is a standard report to search for equip/floc by sub-assemblies

CS_WHERE_USE_MAT has details of a material. but i need to dig where use list for all materials of that component.  CS15 does not give compleate details(only few fields are there)

  • How to find out where used list of Table or T-code

    Dear ABAP gurus
I know many of you have done this several times.
wish to find out which Transaction code INSERTs the data into the table IHPA.
I did the where  used list - SE11 ( for specific key work called INSERT ).
Used the Table called D010TAB which has some information.
Vise versa if I know a T-CODE , how to know which tables it read  & Modify...
any better procedure than spending hours in research...
I found similar custom program to find USER EXITS ...here..., looking soething similar...

    thank you for your help

    Hi Anvesh,
Maybe the data INSERTION is happening by BAPI,
So just try to look for the concerned BAPIS.

  • Short dump with Where-used list

    Hi All,
I'm making some research on specific InfoObjects, and in some cases I want to know where are they being used, but when I try to use the icon for "Where-used list using Data Warehouse" I end up with an error, a short dump.
    Message class is: RSQBW
    Trigger Location of Runtime Error:
    Program: CL_RSQ_ISET_SERVICE===========CP
    Include: CL_RSQ_ISET_SERVICE===========CM016
    Row: 136
    Module Type: (METHOD)
    Module Name: EXTEND_FIELD_BUFFER
Does any one can help me to understand why is this going on and how to solve this?
    Thank you!!
    Miriam

    Hi Miriam
In the short dump you should also see the name of the infoset in question.
You probably have to adjust the infoset in transaction RSISET and they try to run the where used list again.
    Best Regards,
    Vincent

  • Where used list doesn't work for global data

    Hi,
When i try to do where used list on a constant in an include, it doesn't give the results for classes.
The class contains the include in a method that uses the constant, and the where used list for that constant doesn't find the appearance of the constant in the class.
I tried to look for oss note that solves the problem but i couldn't find any.

I tried to update the navigation index but it still doesn't work. from my debuging i found out that it just doesn't look in classes, all classes. I mean even in the where used itself there is not an option for used in classes. I checked it and it's a generic problem of the where used list for global data.

  • Where used listing for Query Variables

Can someone tell me how to get this list from the metadata repository or from the transport connector?
I have read this thread "where used" list for BEx variables but this isn't working for us.
Is there some config that is required which we have missing?
We are running BI7 SP19 if this helps.
    Thanks
    Craig

    Arun,
Yeah I figured as much, but this is why I am thinking we have something missing, config or otherwise.
Cause all I get when I do this is a new window with just the Variable details and nothing else, no where used list at all i.e.
    Page Creation Date: 17.03.2009 15:12:03

Is there something I need to get our Basis Team to do ?

    1) Create Segment ( WE31)
    2) Create Idoc Type ( WE30)
    3) Create Message Type ( WE81)
    4) Assign Idoc Type to Message Type ( WE82)
