Which print in acrobat professional 9 in  windows 8.1 x64?

Which print in acrobat professional 9 in  windows 8.1 x64?

To print from Acrobat 9 Pro the click-path is "file - print".
As to using an Acrobat 9.x product in Windows 8.1 that's a no go.
The Acrobat 9.x product family is not compatible in Windows 8 or 8.1.
Note: The Acrobat 9.x product family passed into "End of Support" mid-year of 2013.
If in Windows 8.1 one must install (and update) Acrobat XI.
Be well...

  • Downloading Acrobat Professional X for Windows

    Hi all,
My company bought me the Acrobat Professional X for Windows around 2 years ago. Now I have relocated to another country (and uninstalled the Acrobat Professional on old computer) and brought the licence key. When I wish to download the product so I can install on the new company, I noted that Acrobat already changed version to XI. What should I do in order to install the Acrobat Pro X on the new company? Thanks.

  • How to install acrobat professional 7 on windows 8

I just purchased a new computer that runs windows 8.  I have acrobat professional 7 installed on my old computer, unfortunately I downloaded it directly from Adobe and didn't get a CD, I only have my product registration receipt with a serial number.  How can I reinstall on my new computer?
    Thanks!

    reset your preferences:
Restore the Acrobat Preferences folder (Windows)
Restore the Acrobat Preferences folder to eliminate problems that damaged preferences cause. Most preference problems are caused by these file-based preferences, although most Acrobat preferences are stored within the registry.
Note:  This solution removes custom settings for Collaboration, JavaScripts, Security, Stamps, Color Management, Auto Fill, Web Capture, and Updater.
    Quit Acrobat.
In Windows Explorer, go to the Preferences folder:
    (Windows 7/Vista) C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Acrobat\[version]
    (XP) C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\Adobe\Acrobat\[version]
Move the Preferences folder to another location (for example, C:\Temp).
    Restart Acrobat.
If the problem recurs after you restore the Acrobat Preferences folder, then the problem isn’t related to the Preferences folder. To restore custom settings, drag the folder you moved in step 2 back to its original location. Then click Yes To All to replace the new Preferences folder.
Restore the Acrobat preferences files (Mac OS)
Restore the Acrobat preferences files to eliminate problems caused by a damaged preferences file.
Note:  Re-creating the Acrobat preferences files restores settings to their defaults.
    Quit Acrobat.
Drag the following files from the Users/[Username]/Library/Preferences folder to the Desktop:
    Acrobat WebCapture Cookies
    com.adobe.Acrobat.Pro.plist or com.adobe.Acrobat.Pro_x86_9.0.plist
Acrobat Distiller Prefs and com.adobe.Acrobat.Pro.plist (if you are troubleshooting an issue with Distiller)
The Acrobat folder, which contains preferences for forms (MRUFormsList), collaboration (OfflineDocs), and color settings (AcrobatColor Settings.csf)
    Restart Acrobat
If the problem recurs after you restore the Acrobat preferences files, then the problem isn’t related to preferences files. To restore custom settings, drag the files you moved in step 2 back to their original location. Then click OK to the alert “A newer item named ‘[filename]’ already exists in this location. Do you want to replace it with the older one you're moving?”
if that fails, uninstall, clean and then reinstall, Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs

  • Can't Print from Acrobat 9 Pro on windows 7 64bit....

I have a windows 7 64-bit computer that can't print to any printer from Acrobat 9 Pro.  When you try to print I get the following error:
"print driver host for 32 bit application has stopped working"
Any thoughts, it's driving me crazy....

I'm having the identical problem and the only way I can get it to work is by not trying to change the title suggested by Acrobat for the PDF.
If I try printing from Firefox and pasting in a new PDF title, it crashes Firefox.

  • Acrobat Professional 6 on Windows 7, no install disk

I have Adobe Acrobat Professional 6 but cannot find my installation CD and am running windows 7 but the program will not load and asks me for my disk. before it will finish loading. Has anyone had this issue? Is there another place to download it from?

Due to the likelihood that Acrobat 6 is too old to be supported, you should see the following:

  • Can't Print a PDF (either in Preview nor Acrobat Professional)

I can print word docs, emails and other things, but not a pdf file. This is really strange and just started to happen recently. I have a (2) HP Printers, a Color Laser and an All-In-One and each stops the printing queue. I've looked over a bunch of posts, but no luck on finding a solution. I have tried both Bonjour as well as direct IP to the printer.

    hallo to everybody.
I would like to add my problems into the chain of questions.
since update to 10.4.11 (and maybe the installation of vmware fusion ??)
i cannot print simple text-pdfs on my new hp laserjet p2015n anymore. the prints are either empty or off-center. i have tried everything from reinstallation of the drivers, changing the usb port, advice from the hp website, caalling hp who told me the printer was allright, printing from acrobat professional, acrobat reader, preview, converting to a pdfx-3 document and even printing as a bitmap without any result.
who can help me? thank you very much!!

  • Windows 7 and windows8.1 Azure VM which supports visual studio professional

I tried to find azure vm which supports Visual Studio professional.
without Windows Server 2012, there is no visual studio professional for windows 7 or windows 8.1.
if we want it, we should install it manually?

Dave - Thanks for the prompt response.  I've built this application using MFC in Static Library, x86 configuration.
OK, that would eliminate the run-time DLLs.
I've not heard of Depends.exe but found and downloaded it.  Ran it on both Win 7 and 8.1 with similar results shown some missing dlls (e.g.: API-MS-WIN-CORE-PRIVATEPROFILE-L1-1-1.DLL).  I've never heard of these.
If they're the same on both, I wouldn't worry about them, it's
    differences that would be relevant.
On the face of things, there's nothing immediately apparent that would
prevent your program from running, so is there any error reported
(message box, or event viewer) when you try to run your application on
    Win8.1?
Have you tried debugging it on 8.1?

  • Acrobat Professional 11 Installation

Looking for information on how to install Acrobat Professional 11 on a Windows 2008 R2 Terminal server which already has Acrobat Professional 8.1 and Acrobat Reader 9.1.2 installed ???

So you want to install multiple versions of Acrobat on Windows.  You want to deal in software installation VooDoo, and the installation "Dark Arts"!  Be warned doing something like this can backfire on you in terrible ways.
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/AdminGuide/properties.html?highlight=rem ove_previous
    Installation
    10.0 & later
    REMOVE_PREVIOUS
Specifies whether to removes an already installed product. The property can only uninstall a previous version of the product when that same product is being installed. For example, REMOVE_PREVIOUS=YES during an Acrobat install will only uninstall previous Acrobat versions. It will not affect any version of Reader that is present.  This property can be used during both Acrobat and Reader installs. The default is YES.

  • Acrobat Pro X in Windows 7 TIFF File Association

I have installed Acrobat Professional 10 in Windows 7.  I am attempting to create a file association in Windows 7 to select Acrobat to open a TIFF or TIF file with Acrobat.  Windows 7 does not recognize Acrobat Pro as a program that will open these files.  Even though I select the program, it just defaults back to Windows Photo Viewer.  Windows 7 just doesn't seem to recognize Acrobat Pro X.

  • Acrobat Professional XI; I don't want to purchase a subscription.

I want to purchase a full version of Acrobat Professional XI for Windows but I am not given this option online.  Or, in my attempts to purchase directly from Adobe, the purchase comes back as 'failed' and I am asked to try again.
I want to do the right thing and purchase a proper copy of the software but Adobe are not making this task easy.
Where can I purchase a full, non-subscription version?  I do not 'rent' as I have the ability (but not the facility) to buy.

Ned, page loading is not the issue.  The issue is that Adobe (or the company that handles the fee) are not accepting my payment and keep informing me to try purchasing a subscription, instead.
If I had the time, I would go to a 'bricks and mortar' store and buy it off the shelf.  However, that is not an option and I have been seeking a reseller but to no avail.
Another issue is that the Adobe site keeps directing me to a local supplier but won't let me change the country for billing purposes, i.e., I am in Singapore and my card is issued in Australia.  The option to change my address is available but it won't let me change the country.
I have even tried Amazon.com but they won't sell software to a non-US address card holder.
We are supposed to be living in a global community but it seems that the site and page developers do not allow for that fact in their software.
Again, I am jumping through a lot of hoops to try and purchase a legitimate copy of Acrobat.

  • Acrobat Professional versus LiveCycle Designer

I am looking into some training for LiveCycle Designer to be able to create a form that will be accesible for my volunteers via email or a webpage. When they fill out this form I want to be able to transfer the data into an Excel spreadsheet and filter to my reporting need. There is an institute offering a bundle which includes Adobe Acrobat Professional level 1 and 2 and LiveCycle Designer. I can also just take LiveCycle Designer but I don't know if knowing Adobe Acrobat Professional will be beneficial to know to what I want to do. Can some one please explain the major difference between each? And would you recommend me taking both trainings for Acrobat and LiveCycle Designer?
    Thank you,
    D.leon

Personally I would say that this sounds like the right "bundle". Creating forms in Designer for publication (respecting the EULA) will require use of Acrobat to "extend" those forms and then capture the data back into a local table (pdf, excel, acrobat.com, etc.).
If you were just creating forms to be pushed into an enterprise distribution system like LiveCycle, then just Designer would be fine. In your scenario it sounds like Acrobat would be the distribution and data capture mechanism so both courses are a good idea.

  • Can't connect to shared printer on Windows 7 Pro x64

I have a print server on Windows 2008 Standard and I have drivers installed for both x86 and x64 archs. The ricoh printer seems to work fine on windows 7 pro x64 but the hp printer will not work correctly. It seems to download/install the drivers but when actually connecting to the printer it errors out.
It says cannot connect to printer.
I can add the printer manually if I use tcp/ip printing instead of connecting to the shared printer. I can't figure out why its not working. Has anyone else seen an error like this? I'm not really sure what is causing this issue.
    Thanks!

    Hi,
    Thanks for the post.
Please also let us know the exact model of this HP printer.
If possible, please reproduce this issue on the Windows7 client and collect the relevant information for further research.
    Step 1: Download Process Monitor
    ======================
    1. Please download the Process Monitor at http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896645.aspx
    2. Extract the zip file to Desktop.
    Step 2: Clean Boot
    =============
Let's disable all startup items and third party services when booting. This method will help us determine if this issue is caused by a loading program or service. Please perform the following steps:
    1. Click "Start", go to "Run", and type "msconfig" (without the quotation marks) in the open box to start the System Configuration Utility.
    2. Click the "Services" tab, check the "Hide All Microsoft Services" box and click "Disable All" (if it is not gray).
    3. Click the "Startup" tab, click "Disable All" and click "OK".
    4. Click "OK" to restart your computer to Selective Startup environment.
    5. When the "System Configuration Utility" window appears, please check the "Don't show this message or launch the System Configuration Utility when Windows starts" box and click OK.
    6. Check whether or not the issue still appears in this environment.
Note: Temporarily disabling the Startup Group only prevents the startup programs from loading at startup. This shouldn't affect the system or other programs. We may still manually run these programs later.
    Step 3: Collect the Information
    =====================
    1. Open Procmon.exe (Process Monitor).
    2. Reproduce this issue.
    3. After that, please click Capture in the tool bar (or directly press Ctrl+E) in Process Monitor.
    4. Click Save, in the prompt window, selects “All Events”.
    5. Click Browser Button (The button is right to “Path”), in the prompt window, click Desktop, type “test” (without the quotation marks) in the File Name box and press Enter.
    6. Find the file, right-click on this file, click "Send To", and click "Compressed (zipped) Folder".
For your convenience, I have created a workspace for you.  You can upload the information files to the following link.  (Please choose "Send Files to Microsoft")

  • Acrobat Professional 8: How to create a PDF which will print most pages in A4, but some in A3?

I am very new to Acrobat Professional 8 - Can anyone tell me how to create a basic PDF document to print most pages in A4, but some in A3?
Currently my document is set up as a binder, do I need to set it up as a PDF package?
    thanks.

Leonard Rosenthol or anybody that can help, sorry to insist.
I will explain better my problem:
I have an ASP.NET WebPAge (C# - 2.0). In this page, the user make a request. The request should generate a PDF document with the informations of the request and with a field to add a digital signature. The document created will be send to a approver that will confirm the approval applying his digital signature (I need to do too, a webpage where the approver open the page, choose the pdf document, and sign, just selecting his own certificate and clicking in the button SIGN... but this is another problem).
That's the reason that I have to create a PDF document. If I create a WORD or HTML document, and then convert to PDF, how can I add a field to digital signature in this pdf document?
Is there any solution using Acrobat SDK?
    Thank you very much!

  • PDFs look different in Adobe reader and Acrobat professional compared to the built in PDF viewer on windows 8

    Hi there,
I have been trying to narrow down an issue we have been having for some time in printing PDF files and finding that they look different on paper compared to screen.  Up until today our big KIP plotter got the blame, but as I have been collecting notes on a little windows 8 tablet I noted that PDFs opened in the windows PDF viewer have the same visual defects as the printouts.  My example today is that on a CAD drawing there is a small box/frame with a number in their, I tried printing and the frame was completely blacked out.  As a test I tried saving the PDF as a TIFF file from Adobe Acrobat professional and this file had the same fault as the printed copy.  When I open it in the windows 8 pdf viewer I can see that there is a shading within this box that does not show on Adobe Reader (latest version 11.0.10.32), the adobe reader and acrobat pro version both show a white background to the box.  We have been having lots of issues with sections being missing from drawings and overly feint lines.
I am not sure where to start trying to narrow down why we are getting different results in different PDF readers.  Is there anyone who maybe able to point me in the right direction?  It almost feels like the shading or colour density is not being consistent when PDFs are being opened in different packages.
    Thanks in advance
    Andy

Some PDF viewers comply with the PDF ISO Standard (ISO 32000) "just enough" while others (such as Adobe's) fully comply.
As with anything there's a cost to using anything that comes from a "just enough" approach.
    Be well...
