Which type of Antenna connectors does the WAP4410N have?

Hi.
I recently purchased a Linksys WAP4410N. While I was surprised how much reach I get out of this thing, I now consider maybe upgrading it with a few better antennas.
I basically just need to know if the antenna connectors are RP TNC or some other standard (like N-type), as I've read through data sheets, googled, and just couldn't find it out.
Thanks.
Regards
Markus

Hi Markus... so glad you started this thread, otherwise I would not have known the HGA7S-EU is no longer available! My present plan calls for an ethernet cable to be run in under the floor to eliminate my present WAP4410N to WET200-G5 link, and while I am doing this to run in a second cable to a new 3rd WAP4410N to improve wireless coverage into the garden. The intention was to transfer the 2xHGA7S-EU aerials from the Bridge to the new AP (both are R-SMA connectors) and buy a third (new) HGA7S-EU to complete the set.
Despite some considerable time spent on eBay and all the main UK supplier websites tonight, I cannot find any of these available for sale now. I have posted a Want It Now on eBay to see what turns up. Glad you got a solution to your situation, and many thanks for highlighting this issue for me.
Best regards
Norrie

  • How much info about the cache-cluster does the client have and What would you recommend about putting the cluster behind virtual ip

    Hi,
I will appreciate if someone can point me to some documentation as to how app-fabric client library accesses the app-fabric cluster.
What I have found so far is that the list of hosts provided in the client configuration are used as an entry point into the Cache-Cluster. By connecting to one of hosts, the client will download information about all the hosts constituting the cluster.
Since a named cache is distributed across the entire cluster, and the data can be stored on any node. How does the client decide which node it should connect to, to get the data from. Does the client have enough information to know which host has the data
or the client will connect to one of the nodes, if the node has data, it will serve it otherwise redirect the client to the node that has the data.
I also would like to know what do you say about the idea that we would like to put our cache-cluster behind a virtual ip, so that if needed, we can take down nodes or add more nodes. In fact the virtual ip will that of a load balancer, but we don't plan to
use it for load balancing purposes but the idea is that the client will have the virtual ip address and we can repoint this IP address, if we need to take out a node for maintenance reason.

I'm not sure about the reason for putting the cache servers in a VIP, but one of the reasons why the cache servers should be made known to the servers is because of auto load balancing and throughput
Imagine i have 10 cache servers running on 1G ethernet links, theoretically i have 10G usable bandwidth and the clients will be able to manage and load balance if any of the cache server fails or have performance issues
Now if all these were parked behind a VIP
    1. The LB now does the load balancing, which may not be optimal
    2. The LB may not have 10G upstream and 10G downstream, even if it has, this is quite a waste of resource\

  • Does the PlayBook have a magnetic case activated "holster" mode like the smartphones?

Title pretty much says it all.  While I'm waiting for my PlayBook, I'm wondering about accessories.  In particular the slip case from RIM.
    Under features are listed:
    •    Precision-fit protection
    •    Rigid panels and flexible sides with easy access to charging or media ports
However, notably absent from that feature list is:
    •    RIM patented technology to sleep device while in case (from a Torch 9800 case feature description)
So does the PlayBook have a "holster-mode" at all?  If so, which cases support/activate it?  It's a very cool feature of the smartphones and would be conspicuous by it's absence.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

A few users in the IRC said that they could find no magnets in the device, and a teardown by iFixit revealed the same thing

  • Connecting a powerbook G3 to the internet via ethernet and a DSL modem. Does the G3 have the ability to do this?

I am trying to connect an older powerbook G3 (M4753) to the internet via ethernet and a DSL modem. Does the G3 have the ability to do this? I'm having alot of trouble. G3 Dialog box states the DHCP server will populate IP address, etc. It does not. The G3 also insists I enter the DHCP client ID.

Great hearing for you all! I thought I was all alone this past weekend. I did learn a lot this weekend. I really like the InDesign product.(half-the-battle) But to be helped by the prestigious “Sandee Cohen” was an honor indeed.”  I ordered the InDesign CC today.  Peter, I appreciate all the feedback on Lynda too. They are loaded with lots of good videos. Derek too honed in on one of the most important aspects!  Since I have been working with Word for most of the first portion of the book this will be a big help. I looked at the comments big help ! • Does the iMac have an AUDIO IN besides from the built-in mic?

Does the iMac have an AUDIO IN aside from the built-in mic?
Also, are any special cables needed?
    Thanks,
    John

    Hi
You should be able to check by going to about this mac from the Apple menu. Then click the more info button and then the system report button. Next, click on audio tab to the left. If you don't have an entry for built in input then you probably don't have line-in in your mac. As already mentioned though you should be able to defiantly find out with the model and year.
    Hope this helps

    Hello 23435,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand that your iPhone was knocked out of your hand and now it displays blue and black colors on the display. It does sound like this iPhone may need to be evaluated for service. If you would like more information about this process, please refer to the attached web link below.

  • Does the MBA have an optical audio out (toslink)?

Does the MBA have an optical audio out (toslink)?

The MacBook Pro and iMacs have digital audio out routed through the headphone jack.  A physical converter (costing a few cents) must be used to connect a regular TOSLINK cable.
The MacBook Air apparently does not have this feature.
As to true Thunderbolt 'adaptors' I have yet to see any hit the market.  I would suggest not holding your breath while waiting for useful Thunderbolt technology to appear--one day perhaps, but not now. I would love to be proven wrong about this--I could really use the Thunderbolt<->FW800 adapter

  • I AM STRUGGLINT TO ACCESS MY IPHOTO'S AND HAVE TO GO THROUGH APPLICATIONS TO ACCESS MY PHOTOS. HOW CAN I CORRECT THIS PLEASE. DOES THE MAC HAVE A DEFRAG?  TX

I am having problems viewing my iPhoto from the dock and have to go through my applications to view. What do I have to do to correct this please? Also does the Mac have a defrag function? I have also been advised by the sales person that the Mac does not need an antivirus programme, is this true?

I'm sorry but your post make no sense
first off All Caps is not necessary and makes things hard to read and is consider shouting - it is rude
Second you do not have "an iPhoto" - iPhoto is an application that manages photos - the photos are stored (by default) in the iPhoto library in a SQL lite database and you use the iPhoto program to manage them
I am having problems viewing my iPhoto from the dock and have to go through my applications to view.
can you please explain this in some detail. When you launch iPhoto by clicking on the iPhoto icon in the Dock what happens?
As to your other OS questions this is certainly not hte best place to address them - we are iPhoto users just like yourself here  ---  basically as I understand it (and I have had had Macs for 30+ years) there is no "defrag and you do not need one - and antivirus is your choice - most people feel it is a waste of money on a Mac but some like to have it

To get the iPod in recovery mode and DFU mode you first have to turn the iPod off.
Just what is the problem you are tying to resolve?
Sometimes you have to let the battery fully drain if you can't turn the iPod off. After charging for at least hour try again.
