Which version of Weblogic on Solaris is compatible with Oracle 8.1.7 - Unicode?

Hi folks,
We want upgrade WLS 4.5.1 to one of the last version of WLS, but also we are
planing upgrade Oracle to 8.1.7 version and migrate the character set of the
database to UTF8 (Unicode),
so we need to know which versions of WLS are compatible with Oracle 8.1.7
and Unicode as Character Set.

The latest version of weblogic server is 6.1 with service pack 1. This version
supports oracle 8.1.7 on major unix platforms viz., solaris(2.6,2.7,2.8),
hp-unix(11.0,11.0i), linux7.1, Aix4.3.3 and on windows platforms viz.,
NTwithsp5, 2000.
BEA jdrivers are having Multibyte character set support (UTF8).
Note : Weblogic server 5.1 with SP10 also supports oracle 8.1.7.

One of my customer has an issue with installation of Essbase version 11.1.1.1.
In the install doc for 11.1.1.1, it says shared services required web logic server patch CR283953 for all platforms. It says you can get this patch at the BEA website. I went through bea website and found that CR283953 is fixed in Weblogic 10.0
Customer would like to know whether Version 11.1.1.1 is compatible with Weblogic 10.0 or not.
Please advise.

I'm sorry to say that Weblogic 10 is not one of them, which I also tried 10.3 thinking it was the "supposed" Oracle AS 10gR3, which does not seem to exist.
Currently, I'm trying a Oracle 11g Database with the Embedded Java container but the Configurator fails when registering the Shared Services.

Not sure which SNMP agent you're running, but I'll take a guess that you're using Net-SNMP 5.x .
You can determine this by:
(Solaris 10) /usr/sfw/bin/snmpd -v
or possibly:
/usr/local/bin/snmpd -v
Net-SNMP 5.x agents are capable of answering queries from SNMP verions 1, 2c, and 3. Keep in mind, an EngineID and SNMPv3 user must be configured before SNMP 3 wil work. Firefox was working, today did not start with error message the the version of this file is not compatible with the version of windows you're running.

Computer has Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. Firefox has run fine for over a year on this computer. Nothing was changed or updated except Windows update shows that it installed updates on Aug 19. I had computer off for week before because out of town, came back and started on Aug 18, but Firefox worked on that day. Did not use FF again till today. Today on Aug 22nd, firefox will not start, shortcut icon has changed to program not there. Exe in folder when clicked brings up error message say the version of this file is not compatible with version of Windows I am running. Firefox exe shows created Aug 20. I suspect update, either Windows or FF but lean towards windows, happened that broke things. I notice IE 10 updates, .NET framework updates and malicious software removal tool updates were installed. I have tried restarting computer, did not fix. Tried to run as admin, didn't work. I do not want to uninstall FF unless have to because of all the stuff I have in there, bookmarks, last pass passwords, etc.

Is it possible?Is it recommonded?

Hi,
I was trying WL 8.1 SP4 and was trying to run some classe within a encyption security jar that requires jre1.6. So for this can I mapped it in server prop the higher version and referred it in sever config files but still I am having the same problem. Help! After this morning's update installed, an error message appeared that read: "XUL Runner. Platform version '6.0.2 is not compatible with miniVersion =6.0.1 maxVersion =6.0.1" Now Firefox won't open or respond at all. What's the fix?
