White background in iTunes 9

Wish we were given a choice I hate the white it's way to harsh so I left feedback asking nicely for my dark background back please do the same if you feel as I do,and lets hope some one's looking

They changed the icons on the side a bit. Not too bad, they look good. They made the menu bar a little shinier. Not bad, but a little odd since it doesn't match any of the other iLife programs, or the finder, or the look of anything else in Apples interface.
*I love all things apple. But really a white background without anyway to change it?* Just to make iTunes 9 look different from 8? They should take a page from their own play book. Snow Leopard minor visual changes, major changes under the hood. *It doesn't have to look different to tell us that it is different.*
iTunes and iPhoto had a similar appearance. I like the way they went together. Like a good belt and shoes. *But why couldn't they or why doesn't apple give us an Appearance option in preferences like they do in iPhoto?* I can have a black background or a white background or anything in between. I mean they have the code already written for iPhoto, just cut and paste. (ok I know it's not that simple, but I know they can do it.)
*So Apple please do it. Soon.*

My iphone 4 is stuck on the hello screen...with a white background after i tried to update it. How do i correct this? I have already gone to itunes and backed it up. But after i back it up it always return to the hello screen in different languages ?

My iphone 4 is stuck in the setup phase with a white background. It tells me hello in several diffrent languages and tells me to slide to set up. I have already backed it up on itunes several times but it always returns to the hello screen with the white back ground. Can anyone please help me with this? All of this happened after i updated it for the 1st time. Help pLease?

Any way to get rid of the awful white background in grid view?

The old dark background was infinitely easier on the eyes, and more attractive. When I look at stuff in grid view now it gives me a headache. Any chance of changing this back via terminal or something?

I would also like to know how to get rid of ugly *** white background. It ****** me off every time I have to look at it. There is nothing that I see here as being an improvement over the last itunes.

I-beam (text) cursor doesn't show on white backgrounds

The I-beam cursor (for text editing) doesn't invert on white backgrounds, which are common in all apps. Hence, it is invisible. This occurs in the following apps:
*MS Office 2004 (Word)*
FINDER (when you edit the name of a file or folder)
iTunes 7 (in any field you edit)
Runtime Révolution 2.9 (an IDE dev app)

The problem occured already under 10.5 Leopard, and is still a nuisance (read: not fixed) under 10.6 Snow Leopard
Anybody have a solution of how to let this cursor invert again as should be? Or hack some system file to make is permanently black?

i have tried this new charset combination specifically for iphone and i m waiting for response from sweden alliance.....i hope this works fine as iso works great for 8-bit characters.
would like to have your thoughts though.

Dark background in iTunes 11

Is there a way to give iTunes its dark background back. I've been searching in all the settings but no more dark grit view setting. Everything is white now and the cleanniness is freaking me out. I would love to have the dark grey background back that was in 10.7. PLEASE????!!!!!!!

Grid view white background - ugh!

Just upgraded (?) to iTunes 9 - apart from hating the new vertical column browser (which I've worked out how to put back to the original "on top" style) - the grid view now has this disgusting white background! What was wrong with the old black one? Does anyone know if there is a way to change the background colour, like you would, say, in Finder or iPhoto>

White background and no artwork size slider: what a bad descision. Bring it back, Apple!

Apple, iTunes used to be intuitive, unique and beautiful. Why can I not change the size of my artworks anymore, to see all of my covers if I want to? And how can you offer artwork on white background? So awful. It makes the user stop feeling like using iTunes! Please bring these easy and obvious options back.

Best way to edit out a white background and make a transparent gif

I have an image I purchased but need to make it into a gif. It already has a white background but when I use the magic wand it chops little bits of the edge of the images up.
Is there an easier way of editing the white out of this background and making a transparent gif?
I am using Adobe Photoshop CS2

Leliforever, cheek you list of installed add-ons, the Ask toolbar can be installed without the users knowledge.

When talking about a specific image posting the image may be useful.
One can use a Layer Mask and add a white Layer underneath.

How Do I: Remove White Background From a Non-Standard Sized PDF?

Hello. Been a little while since I was last here.
My issue is pretty simple. I am creating a PDF in Acrobat Pro X from MS-Word 2007. My document is landscaped half-page sized (US), so dimensions are: 8.5" wide, 5.5" high.
When I attempt to print to PDF, the dimensions come out correctly, but there is a white background which is the size of a landscaped 8.5" x 11" sheet. Against this background, the 8.5" x 5.5" area is situated (nearly) centered vertically, but "right-justified" horizontally (see image). I need to find out how to fix this.
Here's what I know:
In MS Word:
For "Page Setup" (under Page Layout tab):
- under Margins tab, orientation is landscape;
- under Paper tab, "Paper size" is "Custom size", with Width 8.5", Height 5.5" ;
- No changes under Layout tab.
For "Preferences" (under Acrobat tab)
- under Settings tab, "Conversion Settings" are a custom setting ("Advanced Settings"), with "Default Settings" of Width 8.5 inches and Height 5.5 inches.
When I Print > Adobe PDF:
For "Properties" in Print window:
- Under Layout tab, "Orientation" is "Landscape" ;
- Under Paper/Quality tab, "Paper Source" is custom with Width 8.5" and Height 5.5".
- Under Adobe PDF Settings tab, "Default Settings" is "High Quality Print (Custom)" with (Custom) being the settings I set under Acrobat > Preferences.
- Also under Adobe PDF Settings tab, "Adobe PDF Page Size" is custom with Width 8.5" and Height 5.5".
The result is pictured above.
The last thing I did before posting this was run Help > Repair Acrobat Installation in Adobe X. Any suggestions? You can't do worse than I have.

As a Professional Photographer, I chose to buy an IPad 4 for only one reason and that was the amazing color and clarity of the Photo Gallery as a mobile Portfolio.
Originally the background color of the IPad 4 Gallery was BLACK and this facilitated the photos greatly, photos look better and stand out better on a BLACK background. White backgrounds cause a glare eminating from the edges of the photo and cause iris in our eyes to close down, degrading the quality of the photo being viewed.
I updated to ios 7 and now my IPad 4 has a WHITE background, which is unacceptable for viewing photos.
HOW DO I CHANGE the WHITE background on the Photo/Gallery/COLLECTIONS to BLACK?
Apple should ALWAYS give USERS/OWNERS of their products control of such details. IT'S JUST GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Now if I can just get the White Background to STAY BLACK, this might not be as painful as I feared.
My IP4 does lag slightly, but not enough to set fire to it yet.
The gallery/COLLECTIONS/ALBUMS are the most important thing to me.

ID 5.5 Interact. PDF, cannot remove white background for Multi-States and buttons.

I am working on an Interactive PDF Portfolio document. The problem I have is with Multi-State object feature with several buttons going to states that need to be exported as a SWF and imported back into InDesign 5.5. See, the background of my entire doc. is GREY, but when I import the SWF (as directed in Lynda.com videos correctly) and export the entire doc as Interactive PDF and view it in Adobe Acrobat Pro (version 10.1.1) is when all the trouble starts.
When I try to get rid of the WHITE background around the Multi-State objects and the buttons for them (using Select Object Tool and then control+click on it to change the Properties to Transparent Background Appearance) it does not change, even when I go forward and backward to the page.
Does the option of removing white background and making it transparent work only for Animation, but not Multi-State feature with buttons?
Can anyone suggest any other tecnique to create a nice slide show that works in Interactive PDF in ID CS5.5? Please..

I have 8 Multi-State objects in one stack on the left and the 8 buttons for each state in the stack on the right. The background of my document is dark grey. There is space inbetween Multi-State objects and the buttons that show the grey background. But after exporting as SWF the Multi-States together with the buttons and placing the SWF back in the PDF file, the space inbetween Multi-States and buttons that is supposed to show the grey background appears white. The problem is that I cannot even change this white background to transparent in Acrobat Pro, as well. I used to do that to animations and it worked, but not in this case.
