White line when open notification

when i open notification from app that is not in home screen, i see the white line in top left screen. i find this bug since i upgrade my iPhone to iOS 7.1

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new).  Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

  • Why does my photoshop keep giving black and white lines when I use my lasso tool?

why does my photoshop keep giving black and white lines when I use my lasso tool? It has never done this before last night. It filles the Whole lasso seleted box with (what it almost looks like) black and white caution lines. then when I go to zoom out, my zoom option starts to mess up where you cant click and move your mouse to zoom in/out with ease but where you have to click to zoom out (many times).
    Can ANYONE help me?

I am using CS5, WIndows 7, I am not sure how to tell if my drivers are up to, and I am more than happy to screen shot it.

  • White screen with vertical lines when opening.

My laptop has recently started showing a white screen with different colored vertical lines across it when opening the lid. It doesn't happen all the time but often enough to be concerning. If you close the lid and open again 95% of the time everything is good - with another try or two we can always get it back. There aren't any flickers or anything like that while using it. It sounds to me like a potential connection or short in the wiring. Am I on the right track? Thanks Donny

well i went to the apple store and went to the genius bar, they didn't tell me what caused my problem or what happened but they replaced my iphone! hopefully this doesn't happen again

  • Screen with bizarre white lines when PB heats up: Has it been fixed ?

Some time ago (actually 2 years or so) there have been many complaints about Powerbook monitors running bizarre with white lines all over, especially when the PB is getting warm. There has been evidence that the problem is due to difficulties with the plug connecting the screen to the mainboard (some faulty insulation).
I wanted to ask if meanwhile there has been found a permanent solution. I have this problem for 3 or more years now. It gets better when I fix the plug from time to time but it keeps on coming and is really disturbing (though it doesn´t affect any other monitor connected to the PB (it´s only the internal screen).
    Thanks for your help
    Wolfgang

I know, this thread is horrible and consists of many different problems but there IS definitely a problem with faulty screens which has nothing to do with ranting.
I do own my PB since 6 years now and still love it like most of my Apple products within the last 20 years (besides my G5 who decided to give up with a motherboard failure 3 years after purchase).
The problem is, that Apple (unfortunately) kept ignoring the problem so that a lot of false presumptions, ideas and ranting occured.
I can only speak for me and MY PB.
Since year 2 after purchase always when the PB got warm (i.e. the fans chimed in) the built in screen showed irregular lines which made it unreadable. When closing the screen for a while and then opening it again, the problem disappeared for some minutes only to reoccur after a while.
The interesting thing is that if you connect an external monitor or beamer they don´t show any problem at the same time when the internal screen gets unreadable (this saved me many presentations) so the problem is most likely to be somewhere between the motherboard and the INTERNAL screen (which makes the connector the most likely cause. Insulating the connector with insulating tape made the problem to disappear for a while but it didn´t help in a long term.
That´s why I was asking if the problem has been solved meanwhile as I have been resignating more or less (have oredered a MacBook Pro anyway as a substitute for my passed away G5 anyway leaving the PB to my wife ).
    Anyone can comment on this?
    Best regards
    Wolfgang

  • Photomerge produces white lines when using RAW (PEF) but not TIFF

I just started using PS CC (Mac, v14.1.2) and tried out Photomerge with a set of 40 (4 rows, 10 cols) raw images (Pentax PEF format), resulting in a 0.3 gigapixel image.
When I have them stitched by Photomerge, I see fine white lines at the merge points.
I had enabled all 3 options (blend images together, vignette removal, geometric distortion correction), using cylindrical layout.
When I first convert the PEFs to TIFFs and use Photomerge with the same options, there are no such white lines.
An example of the bad output:
These unwanted lines are, of course, at the edges where the images are getting joined.
Also, when using only a few images (2x2 or 3x3, or even 4x5), I do not get this effect.
I noticed that when using less images, the blend masks' edges are not straight - but they are when I see this issue. This suggests that at some point the merge operation gets overwhelmed and switches to a simpler algorithm, which in turn has this "bug" with RAW images, apparently.
Is this a known issue, and is there a way to get this working right with this many RAW/PEF images?

Sigh. How can Adobe charge so much money for their products and not even afford a team of people to look into bugs that users might want to report. Big companies suck.
Although you were probably looking for a standard developer-type bug report form, you still might want to take a closer look at that site. You'll see numbers next to the topics; those are user votes to help get something fixed sooner. While it's one thing to submit a bug report (and from this thread it seems they might already have it), Adobe uses that site to help prioritize which bugs to fix first, based on the user discussion and votes. Because Adobe has to decide not only whether a bug needs to be fixed sooner than other bugs, but sooner or later than certain feature requests. The user discussions and user votes on that site help them decide, although I'm sure there are other internal considerations.
In addition to votes, you'll see that posts on that site can be marked "Acknowledged" or "In Progress" by Adobe. The user votes and status reports are what make that site a little more quantifiable than this forum. Also, it isn't unusual to see Adobe developers and employees in the threads looking for more info or explaining things. So while it might not look like a traditional bug database, it's along those lines but in a way that makes it a little easier for non-technical users to participate in the process.

  • Flash of short white line when screen is black

    Hi,
I have a 15-inch MBP, late 2008. Lately I've noticed that when the left side of the screen is (almost) entirely black, flashes of short white lines will flicker on the screen.
To demonstrate what I mean, please go here:
    http://www.sfu.ca/~jca49/screenProblem.html
That above webpage has no content, except the background is completely black. When I view it in Safari and maximize the window to full screen, as in, the left edge of the page is touching the left edge of the screen, I get flashes of white lines.
This happens in other instances where the left part of the screen is displaying something completely black as well (ie: if I have a complete black image opened in photoshop and I am in fullscreen view mode).
I hope I was clear on explaining the problem. Has anyone else had a similar experience? I'm a first time mac owner. What are the steps to go through to get this repaired? (If it needs to be repaired, I mean). I live in Vancouver, Canada, but I bought my MBP through Apple.ca. Does anyone know how long it might take if I need to get it repaired?
    Thank you.

I had that on my first unibody MBP (bought in october). Machine was replaced with another that had the BSOD issue. 3rd machine runs perfectly so far.
Basically, return it until you get a perfectly functioning machine. Call apple care and describe the problem to them. I did that with my online order and had no problems. Good Luck.

  • PDF white lines when placing in Illustrator

I have some PDF graphics created using MapInfo software.
When I attempt to place the PDF map as a layer in Illustrator, the map appears with numerous white lines as though each polygon area of the original map has been broken up into individual squares.
Is there some setting in Distiller to overcome this problem?
Should I be creating an EPS map file and then using that as a layer in Illustrator?

How was the PDF created? Printed, Exported? Some other method?
If nothing else helps, you could do the following: it looks like the problems are only in drop shadows and text. You could delete both from the Power Point file, export, save or print the PDF. Then import into Illustrator and recreate shadows and text there.
I don't think you could transfer the complete graohic from PP to Illy as vector anyway. So rather get away with as much as you can and then complete it.

  • Macbook display shows black and white lines when fullscreen

If i leave my Macbook on for a while without shutting down and then I view a photo or movie (in player or safari) fullscreen the screen shows just black and white lines. Sort of like bad tv reception. It has happened a few times and a reboot has fixed it but it comes back. Any ideas anyone?
    Thanks

I have a similar problem. Not sure you're on here (since the post is really old) but did you manage to work it out? How?
    My thread:
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/19007548#19007548
My Imac froze earlier today as I was dragging an image from safari into indesig and when it froze the weirdest pattern overlaid the screen. It looked just like the opacity pattern from photoshop with grey and white squares. I turned the computer off using the power button and unplugged everything.
Now when I try to start it these weird lines appear on my start up screen (see link)...
    http://meijerladdaruppgrejer.wordpress.com/2012/07/24/oops/
as you can see the apple and the wheel appears as normal...
... then it moves to a normal looking white screen (perhaps a bit greener than usual) and around 30 seconds later freezes at the blue screen.
    I've tried the cmd + alt + p + r several times but it won't help.
If i press alt during start up I can see and choose my hard drive but just end up at the blue screen again.
Can I try starting it up in safe mode or something?

  • InDesign CS3- Appearing white lines when uploading

Hi Everyone... I've created a brochure, standard 8.5x11 trifold, in InDesign. Everything comes out great, up until I upload the PDF I created in InDesign on a printer's website and view the proof. For some reason, when I view the proof, there are white lines that seem to be some how associated with some of my text. Various places throughout my document, I can see thin white lines above, below, and beside certain text. I've tried changing the version of the PDF to an older version. Didn't work. I tried saving it as a JPEG, instead of a PDF... That looks even worse(blurry border around text... trust me... even worse). I have no idea what's going on. I tried changing the Transparency Flattener Preset... No difference. Please help. Very frustrated and need to have this brochure ordered like... yesterday. I appreciate any input I can get. Thanks for yoru help.

I tried to export it to Acrobat 5, but the issue still exists. The white lines do not form a perfect box. They are lines that appear randomly throughout my brochure. Some of them horizonal, some vertical. Some lines are are the length of words, some are the size of single characters. I'm not sure if this is associated with the stitching issue described above, but just wanted to be specific.
How do you turn off the smooth line art and smooth images option in Acrobat? I didn't find that option in the menu.
    Thanks again for your help.

  • Two clips that are overlaid creates white line when rendered

In Final Cut Pro 7, I have copied a clip on top of itself in the timeline.
    - The clip on top was then moved to the right so that the clip below would be seen slightly ( I needed a way to scoot the subject over while preserving the background on the left side. It is a black and white image over a flush gray background).
    - When the clips are renderd, a white vertical line appears between the two clips
    - The white line remains when exporting, and remains when it is uploaded to vimeo
    - I need it to be gone! It is not there before rendering the timeline, but appears afterward!!!

What happens if you crop the right image a bit more? Does the line show up?

  • 4.0 flashes or sustains a glaring white screen when opening a new tab 0r a new url-can this be corrected to show a dark transition screen instead?

We have a special color theme which we use for all your previous versions of Firefox so as to eliminate all white screen glare which has been successful until we installed 4.0. When opening a new tab the screen now flashes a stark white eye-strain glaring white light, and much worse when opening a url site this condition does not flash but lingers as long as it takes (sometimes very long) to load a new url. Since this never happened with previous versions, how can this be corrected without having to return to Firefox 3.6?

You can cause a new tab to display the site of your choice by installing the following Add-on:
*after installing, set the options by going to Add-ons > Extensions >New TabURL > Options
    Also see --> https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/new-tab-homepage/
*If you have multiple home pages, the first one is automatically chosen by this Add-on
Future versions of Firefox will/may have this option without an Add-on.

  • Help Please - Pdf shows/ reads some white pages when opened by some  people

I have made a pdf book of my artworks ( on a mac) and have a major problem. When I send it out, some people are able to read everything but others get a couple of white blank pages when they view the pdf online or download it or sometimes only either one. It seems to always be the pages that are just black and white...
However when i try to open the same file i sent them but on my computer at home( MAC) or at work(PC), it works fine.
But on my Iphone, i get the same problem as these people with the same pages turning blank...
All Pages of the book were made in photoshop. I saved them as pdf individually before combining everything to a pdf book and i had this problem. Then I tries to save all in jpg and then convert and combine them to a pdf book, still get the same problem.... Some people get white pages....
    Help much appreciated.
    Thank you in advance.

  • When open notification attachment page not found

    Hi,
When I open the notification attachment to logon to oracle to view my notification the page is not found. Does anyone know why? Do i have a setting wrong somewhere. On the wf administration page it says HTML mail with attachments. Any help would be appreciated!

The attachment "Notification Detail.html" is meant to show the notification details page upon login. If the page is not showing up, check the following.
    1. WF_WEB_AGENT in WF_RESOURCES table points to the apache host and port appropriately.
    2. The notification is still available in WF_NOTIFICATION table.
Also the Web agent value is stored in different locations based on installation and release. In Apps 11.5.10, it is taken from APPS_FRAMEWORK_AGENT profile, in standalone it is read from WF_WEB_AGENT token.
