hello , i read an artical in hp website that hp give free upgrade to windows 7 the problem is the link givin in the artical to do that not working eny more , HP Offers Customers Free Upgrade to Microsoft Windows 7 and i see this offer for the first time , so who can i get a free upgrade from vista to windows 7 i just need the new free windows 7 serial i can download the windows 7 iso file. and thank you.

That offer has long ago expired. You will either have to buy Windows 7 or newer and then be eligible for Windows 10 free upgrade, starting July 29th, 2015. It says that free upgrade to Windows 10 is available for a year.

So your iTunes library is now empty after the upgrade?
Simply drag the one folder (containing all of your music) into your new empty iTunes library or choose File -> Add to Library in iTunes.
Otherwise, if they aren't all in one folder, you'll have to drag each seperate one into iTunes.

I own a hp dv9720us laptop. I upgraded from vista to windows 7, and have lost all sound. I've tried about everything , but nothing worked. hp 's site say they no longer support driver updates , since 2010. Can anyone help me , Please ?

How to upgrade from Vista to Windows 7?

I recently bought the upgrade version of Windows 7 utimate for my laptop, my laptop is new and Windows Vista pre-installed. I would like to know if I upgrade Windows 7 from this "Fresh", pre-installed vista, would this Windows 7 operate as good as the clean installed Windows 7?
I am not very clear how Vista upgrades to Windows 7, do Windows 7 upgrades based on the old Vista system? Or it will install a clean and new Windows 7 then only copy all the settings and programmes from old Vista?

Can you please tell us what Toshiba notebook you have exactly and what Vista version you have exactly (Home, Business, etc. and 32bit/64bit)?
Theoretically you can upgrade from Vista to Windows 7 but it must be same version. That means its only possible to upgrade from 32bit to 32bit and 64bit to 64bit.
If you want to upgrade you have to insert this disc and follow the screen instructions, thats all.

This process leaves the library database files back in the original location of <User's Music>\iTunes. Often people assume that all they need is now on the external drive and wipe the internal drive, or discard their old computer, before backing up the all important iTunes folder. If you have a backup of your user's profile folder from before the upgrade the iTunes library folder should be in there somewhere. Restore it to <User's Music> and your original library should pop back into existence. The external drive would need to have the same drive letter that it had previously.
A more effective way to relocate the library is to move the entire iTunes folder to the external drive, then hold down shift when starting iTunes and keep holding until asked to choose or create a library. You would then choose the file iTunes Library.itl in the iTunes folder on the external drive. If this is the way you moved the library before then that is how you should now reconnect to it. Changing the media folder in preferences doesn't change which .itl database file is opened, nor does double-clicking on an .itl file directly.
If you no longer have the original .itl file then you will have to build a new library and import the media to it. If you need to do this I would recommend you create a new library at F:\iTunes, then move your existing media folders inside F:\iTunes\iTunes Media before importing. This will avoid the creation of duplicates and make sure the library is in the correct shape going forwards.
If you have an iPod or iOS device my scripts ImportDevicePlaylists and SyncStats may well let you recover ratings, play counts & playlists from the device.
When you've fixed up your libray you should consider getting a second external drive to backup to.

Now my songs won't play on the Dell and my iPod is not "recognized" as a device by my computer. Can't print from my Satellite since I upgraded from Vista to Windows 7

I recently upgraded my wife's Satellite Model A205 from Vista to windows 7. I have spent days trying to figure this out with out sucess. We have a Verizon wirless net work and my other laptop, running Windows 7, works just find. I have reloaded Windows 2 times with out any luck. Any ideas out there??

As far as I know this P200 model belongs to the PSPB6 series.
Therefore it seems that all drivers available for Windows 7 32bit.
Generally about Vista and Windows 7 I can say that new OS runs much faster and never had a problem as yet. I can recommend it! :)

Ok, I tried this and it said I needed to download and install Nvidia graphics driver version 309.08, I downloaded and installed this version just fine. I done option 2 again and now it says download and install version 353.30. I download this version but got an error when I tried to install it that says THIS GRAPHICS DRIVER COULD NOT FIND COMPATIBLE GRAPHICS HARDWARE. Do you know what I should do now to fix this?

The best method is to use Windows Easy Transfer first to backup all your data, and do custom clean install. And install all your apps and drivers afterwards.
Yes it should work. Make sure you are ready, and have all the latest drivers and applications ahead of time.
There are some "gottchas" with the upgrade from Vista.

Upgraded from vista to windows 7 not seeing music list

I upgraded from vista to windows 7. When I sync my iPhone 4 I am not seeing my music listed nor my apps in the list. I had backed up my entire computer to my external hard drive and copied everything over to iTunes. But not showing up in any lists when I connect my phone???? Any ideas?

I'm am used to working on Mac's but u don't think my advice will hurt.
iTunes reads your hard drive for songs and compiles a song list for them.
It then stores this data as your ituneslibrary.plist file.
In the file drop down menu you should have an option to select library.
Try reelecting your iTunes library icon and then it should reload your iTunes with playlists and play counts etc

If you buy a machine preloaded with Windows Vista after July 1st 2009, you will be eligible for a free upgrade to Windows 7 once it's released. There are a number of restrictions, though; you are not allowed to upgrade from one language to another. In addition, the only upgrade paths allowed within the program are from Vista Home Premium to Windows 7 Home Premium, Business to Professional, and Ultimate to Ultimate. All other paths are not allowed; people who buy Vista Starter or Vista Home Basic are not eligible for upgrades, for instance.

HP not honoring free upgrade from Vista to Windows 7

When I purchased my machine in February 09 with Vista home edition I was promised on the web site and by the sales clerk that I would receive a free upgrade to Windows 7. Now I am told that only machines purchased after June 09 will qualify. I am furious and will not settle for this. Does anyone else have this issue.

Look you might have understood them wrong or you're saying something that they didn't say. They might have told you that there is going to be a free upgrade program for Windows 7 closer to when Windows 7 launches and thought you could get it when you bought it or you just want to accuse HP that they said that you would have the W7 Upgrade for free so you can get the upgrade. Microsoft did this with xp to vista when vista came out and it was around the same months as vista to W7, so you should have also looked for past free upgrade. According to the App Store upgrading Aperture from V3.4.5 to V3.5 is going to cost £54.99.
I thought from all that I had read on other Mac websites that this was a free upgrade?

Right, that brings up Mac App Store app but I have no such option to upgrade from there after relogin and reload.
I'm not sure if any correlation between MAS and my location copy.
I would think MAS simply just couldn't find my purchase history.
If you bought Aperture from the MAS, it should show on the "Purchased" page. And also appear on the "Updates" page. It may take a while.
Are you signed in with the AppleID that you used to buy Aperture?
And is Aperture still installed in your Applications folder? You did not move it to a subfolder or rename it?

The website that you mean is not available anymore because there was an upgrade offer for certain notebooks but this offer isnt available anymore.
So if you want to upgrade to Windows 7 you have to purchase a Microsoft Windows 7 disk, then you can start with Windows 7 upgrade.
