Why Airport Utility not pick up AirPort Extreme?

Suddenly AirPort Utility on MacPro not picking up AirPort Extreme for wireless. Other Macs in house connecting just fine.

Restart the AE and try again.

Why Airport Extreme 802.11ac on 2.4Ghz does not support 802.11ac?

On my Airport Extreme 802.11a/c, using Wifi Scanner, I can see that:
2.4ghz has PHY Mode: 802.11b/g/n
and
5ghz has PHY Mode: 802.11ac
On APPLE website:
"AirPort Extreme features simultaneous dual-band 802.11ac Wi‑Fi. That means it transmits at both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies at the same time"
My question is why is the 2.4ghz not showing PHY Mode that includes "ac"?
Is my Airport router faulty? if so, I will need to return it.

The "ac" setting only runs on the 5 GHz channel(s) on any router. 2.4 GHz could never support "ac" speeds.

Why airport extreme no more powerful than frontier modem?

set up new extreme as new wifi network, thought it would reach out farther than the Frontier router/modem

You can expand a network by use of secondary wi-fi base stations, such as AirPort Express.
Older models of AirPort Extreme had antenna ports so external antenna could be used, too.
Not sure if any reason exists for that in most instances. There are other reasons for the signal
to be limited, due to location, building materials in walls such as metal &/or concrete, or other.
One of my older AirPort Extreme base stations with an antenna port was able to extend past
some structural issue to expand signal to outdoors, and still provide a good indoor signal.

Hopefully you can resolve the area coverage issue by use of additional hardware,
or by placement of the wireless units where they are best able to serve an area.

Why the file not picked by PI

Hi mates:
       I tried to implement a XML-to-XML senario by XI, it is like picking the file from one folder to another . and I have created and configurated everything for senario in ID and IR. and activated everything. but the file won't be picked up by XI,
      I used two computers for the senario, one for Xi, one for the business system.
      Could you please tell me why the file can't be picked up by XI. do I have to installed any FTP server
on the business system?

              There is some reasons are happended for the file is not picking.
1) If use FTP , Check your FTP Connection working or not
2)If not pick the file to XI , Check data from source end, if it wrong its shows the error in RWB->Communication Channel Monitoring--> File adapter..
3)Check the sender Communication channel configured properly or not.

Why wsgen does not pick up the changed interface in wsdl.jsp?

Hi,
After I changed the type of return value in a method in a stateless EJB. The wsdl.jsp
generated by wsgen does not pick up the changed interface (it still has the old interface).
The installed ejb works well with new type of return value. But the web service (wsdl.jsp)
and client.jar does not work. At begining I thought it might be cached. So I cleaned
the cache in the browser and temporal directory inside wls domain. I also deleted
all old version of ejbs on my local disks. But there is no effect. I am confused.
Please help. Where does the wsgen looking for when generating wsdl.jsp?

Airport Admin Utility Not Picking up my Network

I am connected to my Airport, and using the Internet. However, neither Airport Admin Utility or Airport Setup Assistant picks up my network (when I scan for it).
Can someone provide me with some step-by-step instructions on how to solve this?

it seems the original poster's OS is: 10.3.9. I think I have the same issue.
-> with my 1.67GHz powerbook G4, 10.3.9 - after upgrading the internal airport software to 4.2, I can no longer connect to old access points. This Apple help page worked with 4.1 - holding down the Control key while selecting the network. Now with 4.2 it does not work anymore.

Guys, please check your Apps->Utilities->Console output. Are you getting this too?:

I'm also haveing the same problem with my iBook G4. Is there anyway to downgrade it? Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

Expansion Slot Utility not detecting DeckLink HD Extreme Card

I just installed a DeckLink HD Extreme card in my Mac Pro today including all of the software and drivers. When I went into the Expansion Slot Utility it showed up but said the card was running below the maximum supported speed. So I picked a configuration that would work best for the cards that are in the machine. After restarting and opening the Expansion Slot Utility the card was no longer being detected. I even tried going back to the old configuration uninstalling and reinstalling the software and still it was not detected. Any help would be much appreciated.

Leopard and 2008 don't need or support the utility. The slots are fixed to begin with. Only the 1st gen Mac Pro needed it.

When using Adobe Colour in Photoshop, Why can I not pick out colours from an image open and first up in Photoshop?

Am I doing something wrong? Seems like it should be a no brainer, click for the color dropper and pick up a color.. seems I'm the one with the no brain thought because for the life of me it will not work. Then I would always go to colour Lovers and just upload my image and take the readings and put my theme together there.

Why is Mail not picking up some Virgin/Blueyonder messages?

I use the Mail app (6.6) on my desktop Mini (10.8.5) to collect emails from six accounts, all POP.
Three of those are Virgin Media accounts with @blueyonder.co.uk addresses: two mine and one my wife’s.
The other day, we noticed that an incoming message sent to my wife’s address and one of mine (both in the To line - not Cc’d or Bcc’d) had only arrived at my wife’s account in Mail. I checked, and both were there in each of the relevant Virgin webmail inboxes, but only my wife’s had been picked up by Mail.
I sent a test mail from a gmail account with the same arrangement: wife’s address first in the To line, mine second; same result. Tried another with it the other way around: my address first in the To line, my wife’s second; and the same result: my wife’s picked up by Mail, mine not.
I can see no differences in how the accounts are set up in Mail. I’m mystified. Can anyone help?

OK, let me put it another way. Does anyone know of any problems that might arise if a Blueyonder-addressed email incoming to Virgin Media (UK) has been addressed to more than one recipient in the To line? Specifically, a problem that might stop Mail app from picking up that email?

Comcast Gateway - Switch - Airport Extreme?

Hi, thank you in advance for taking the time to read and respond!
I've a few things crammed in my structured media panel (metal cabinet in a pantry) to run Ethernet and Coax cables throughout the house. I am planning to add Airport Extreme to the network, and figured it's best to keep it outside of the media panel (in an open view) to get the most out of it. I need some guidance to make sure what I am planning would even work.

Here are some questions that are bothering/confusing me (in no particular order):
Biggest concern: does it make sense to connect Airport Extreme to a wall plate, or should it be connected to the gateway itself to really take advantage of all it has to offer?
Is it necessary for the Airport Extreme to be placed before the switch?
If it's okay to connect Airport Extreme to the wall plate, can I bridge additional Airport Express or Apple TV to Airport Extreme?
If it's okay to connect Airport Extreme to the wall plate, would keeping the Linksys there affect performance? Should I remove it altogether, and configure my Wi-Fi and DHCP on the gateway itself? I have no complaints about that router being there, it's working very well as is though it's a G router.
If it's not okay to connect Airport Extreme to the wall plate, is my only option to place Airport Extreme between the gateway and the switch?
If it's not okay to connect Airport Extreme to the wall plate, should I even consider placing it inside a closed media panel (metal enclosure, about 4" deep, assuming it fits)?

I am assuming that you are running at least CAT5e cabling, and preferably CAT6....and....that the Trendnet switch is Gigabit Ethernet capable. Ethernet can be run up to 330 feet or 100 meters with virtually no loss, so things will be fine as long as your wiring and terminations are correct.
That being said, it is always better to keep things as simple as possible, with as few connections as possible.
I'm running Cat5e. Trendnet switch is Gigabit capable. Wiring and termination appears to be correct as they all lead to working connections in wall plates.

I so wanted to use Airport Extreme as my primary router by simply replacing the Linksys, but the location isn't ideal so I was a little disappointed even though I like the media panel so much in general.

I specifically mentioned bridging Airport Express to Airport Extreme assuming better compatibility, thus better reliability and performance. I was also thinking connecting to Airport Extreme wirelessly. But you got me curious. If I connect to another wall plate through an Ethernet cable in another room, I would be able to truly extend the range of the Wi-Fi signal as opposed to just strengthening the signal. Is that right?
The Linksys likely has 10/100 Ethernet ports, while the AirPort Extreme will have 10/100/1000 ports. The Ethernet signal will slow down by a factor of ten when it reaches the Linksys router. Not what you want if performance is your goal.
Ah, that makes sense. And I've been trying to find something wrong with the switch as to why I am not picking up Gigabit signal! It's the 10/100 router that downstreams everything at lower rate.
Never put a wireless router inside of anything, much less a metal thing.
Acknowledged. Surprisingly it's been running fine thus far, but I do intend to correct that when I get my hands on the Airport Extreme.

Airport Extreme for Windows (Vista) and Mac

Have PC with Windows Vista and Belkin N1 Router. Want to replace Belkin with Airport Extreme to use with both PC and MacBook Pro. Also want to use printer with both. Any suggestions will help. Do I need to download special software for Windows or is this included on disk that comes with the Airport? Do I have to install software on both computers? PC is for separate business use and don't want to mess things up with it. Printer is HP Photosmart C6380 all-in-one ane purports to work wirelessly...so far wired to PC and unable to link to PC wirelessly. That's why Airport Extreme with USB for printer makes sense to me.

Have PC with Windows Vista and Belkin N1 Router. Want to replace Belkin with Airport Extreme to use with both PC and MacBook Pro.
Unless you have additional networking requirements or are having issues with your Belkin router, there is no reason to have to replace it with an 802.11n AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBSn) just to support both Macs and PCs. Your MacBook Pro shouldn't have any difficulties connecting to routers provided by manufacturers other than Apple.

Software (AirPort Utility) to administer the AEBSn from either a Mac or a PC is included with the installation disc that comes with the base station. The necessary software is already installed on the Mac, but if you intend to administer the AEBSn from the PC, you would need to install it on the PC from the disc or download it directly from Apple's Support site. The other software that comes on the disc is Bonjour for Windows. This allows for easier access to a printer attached to the AEBSn from PCs, but is not mandatory in order to print.
Printer is HP Photosmart C6380 all-in-one ane purports to work wirelessly...so far wired to PC and unable to link to PC wirelessly. That's why Airport Extreme with USB for printer makes sense to me.
Unfortunately, there is one caveat. The USB port on the AEBSn does not fully support the non-printing features (fax, copy, scan) of all-in-one printers ... just the print function. If these features are important to you, then you may want to look for wireless print server provided by another manufacturer that does support these additional features. I believe Linksys/Cisco still provide these.

Anyone know if there is a way to (easily) add "Client ID" names in XP? I went though my Macs and added names to help ID them in the router, but can't see where to add names in XP?

COUPLE HOURS LATER......
Just tried turning off the HP 4050 and unplugging it from the wall. Then plugging it (power) back in and turning it on, trying to get it to renew its IP address with the AirPort Extreme router.....nothing. Still does not show up in my list of DHCP Clients.
Tried Restarting the router.....now I see no clients at all in my list of DHCP Client list..... grrrrrr
Can anyone tell me why AirPort Extreme is not seeing the HP 4050 as a DHCP client?

Any Benefit to Airport Extreme vs. Other Routers When Connecting to Apple TV?

I have Time Warner Cable and currently I have a Motorola SURFboard SB6141 modem going to an old Airport Extreme wifi router to get to my Apple TV.
I am considering the following options:
Upgrade to a Motorola SURFboard SBG6580 modem with Wifi
Stay with my current modem and Airport Extreme
Is there any reason why Airport Extreme wifi would be better at connecting to an Apple TV, than a Motorola modem with built-in wifi?

Personally I would stick with what you have.
For iTunes store purchases, movies max out at requiring 8 Mbps for 1080p so provided the current wifi provides that I doubt an upgrade would help. Does the extreme provide 802.11n?
If wifi is problematic in your house due to interference, thick walls, multiple floors etc a new router may or may not help, but the solution I adopted several years ago which I think is pretty great is using mains powerline network adapters which basically convert electrical sockets into ethernet sockets. You stick one into a socket near your router and connect a short ethernet cable then the others (1 or many) go in sockets near the devices which will use an ethernet connection and again connect via ethernet cables. Provided you don't have awful wiring or very complex wiring this usually works well.
I use Devolo (200 and 500) adapters, but Belkin,Netgear and many others make them too.

In F110 , when ever you run Payment Proposal , it picks the invoices which are due for the Payment Run date. It also depends on the Next Run Date , Based on the Discount periods of the Payment terms.
In both MTR1 & MTR2 , check your Next Run date.

Check the base line date for this IV - I dont think the document is overdue in MRT1 that is the reason it is not picked up (in frist payment run). It is overdue in the payment run (in January you run).
Check the invoice date for document getting picked up ( i hope it is with in the date), check the base line date for payment for payment proposal (I hope on 30th it is not overdue).
