Why all the sudden are my bookmarks missing and all my addons disabled?

The other day my son told me firefox crashed now when I open it all my bookmarks are missing and all of my addons are disabled. Not sure if he did something or if FF updated causing the issue. Looks like current version using is 9.0.1 Yahoo edition which i don't think is version I've been using. Can I see if this is a recent update & if I can go back to previous version which contains all my bookmarks and addons I had set up? Don't know what to do.

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

It is possible that there is a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.
Delete the files extensions.* (e.g. extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini, extensions.cache) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.

New files will be created when required.

If you see disabled, not compatible, extensions in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions" then click the Tools button at the left side of the Search Bar (or click the "Find Updates" button in older Firefox versions) to do a compatibility check or see if there is a compatibility update available.

Recently we have upgraded to OBIEE 11G and we have created new users and assigned groups in the new 11G.
Generally users sholud be able to see all the dashboards and subject areas with the default BI Author and BI Consumer roles.
But in our 11G system users cannot see all the subject areas with the above groups, only if we give the BI Administrator role the they can see all the subject areas and dashboards.
We cannot give BI Administrator role to all the users....Please advise.

Why all of a sudden are my images missing and have question marks

Hi Guys,
Really irritating thing has started to happen when I use pages. I start my document as usual, drag and drop images into it then save. When I try to resave it complains of not being able to save the document. I then save as another file name, try to reopen and all my images are now boxes with question marks on them. I havent moved any folders or anything. Its only recently started doing this. I'm on Pages 4.1.
Can anyone help me please?

1 in 7 people here bother thanking us for helping them, so the points don't really reflect how much work we put into answering their problems.
Some even provide basic information to help resolve their own issues. Some are like the Korean lady who asked me to set up a Korean DTP system for her years ago. It was obvious that she wasn't giving me all the disks necessary for the Korean installion, grudgingly I dragged them out of her one by one.
I remember looking her in the eyes and wondering exactly what was going on in her mind, I knew one of us wanted to get the job done and go home. Still a mystery to me to this day. But then she is not alone in this world.

All the toolbars are 'grey' bookmarks disabled, no back button, no history etc. No address bar, no links from the dashboard? What has happened?

the OTHER thing is that all my information seems to still be saved. i am still logged in to some mostly used sites that i need a login. i'm assuming that's due to firefox saving my info. why is everything else gone? i essentially can't use the browser at all this way...... i can but not for long. i can't make new bookmarks and i can't go forward or backward.

That means you need to plug it into your computer running iTunes. Have you tried that?

You might have Zoom on. To turn it off go to Settings>General>Accessibility>Zoom, set to Off. Double-tap with three fingers to zoom out and drag with three fingers to move the screen with zoom on.

Why are some web sites that i have been using for years now all the sudden changing themselves from Standards compliance mode to Quirks mode? How do I change them back to Standards compliance mode?

Like I will be checking on an account { page is fine} go to a different screen then go back.... This is the fun part. Usually effects packages are AU plugins that would have no effect on track selection. Interfaces should have no control over what kind of track you can select. I really think something else is going on her maybe something you overlooked.
Did you choose the input channel in the track info pane. Try both channel 1 mono or channel 2 mono. Make sure the track is record enabled.

All the songs are missing in Library

We hooked up this morning to charge an ipod and when iTunes opened, we noticed the Library was empty. This was on my son's account. I checked my account, same, Daughter's account, the same.
All Librarys showed no songs. We looked at "My computer" and found the music folders and all the songs are still in the folders. Just nothing when iTunes is opened. This is the first this has ever happened.
Is this a glich that happened in iTUnes from iTunes? Or, is it possible something happened on the PC?
How do we get the songs back in the respective libraries?

Unfortunatley this is a common propbelm and no one has come up with a complete explanation of why it happens.
If you are lucky, you can rebuild your libraries using the method in this Apple article.

If that doesn't work, you can get your music back into your library by adding the iTunes Music folder to iTunes. But then you loose all your ratings, play counts and playlists.
It is a good idea to make a backup of your library files in case this happens again.
The library files are in:
My Documents\My Music\iTunes
Close iTunes and wait about 30 seconds.
Copy iTunes Library.itl and iTunes Music Library.xml somewhere else e.g. into the Previous iTunes Libraries folder.
To restore, with iTunes closed drag the current itl and xml file from the iTunes folder to the desktop, then copy the backup iTunes Library.itl into the iTunes folder. The xml file isn’t necessary but can come in handy if the library needs to be recreated and the itl file is causing problems.

They don't go into the Trash. Unless you have a backup prior to the deletion time it's gone.
