Why are white blocks appearing in my animation?

When my animations loads (by clicking the packaging icon), a white block appears in the middle and I would like to know if there
is a way that I could change it so it is either transparent or not have the white appear?
I made use of a EdgeDocks extention (http://www.edgedocks.com/edgecommons) called Composition Loader to animate the
centre.

Why are white lines appearing in images in PDF files but not the original InDesign files?

Hi folks!
Let me just start out by saying that I'm not a graphic designer and have basically no experience with graphic design programs, aside from the little futzing around I've tried to do with InDesign. My company (which publishes a monthly magazine) has decided that it would be a great idea to get the files to our magazine from the graphic design firm that actually handles the production end of things so that we may offer back articles, etc., and modify them as needed. Somehow I've gotten assigned the task of handling this. However, I've encountered some problems along the way. The graphic design firm uses Quark, we own InDesign (CS3) and use Markzware to convert the files. Most things seem to work okay in this arrangement but I'm having problems with the images in the file when I create PDFs. Although the images look fine in the InDesign files (and are of print quality), when I create PDFs of some files, thin white lines appear over the images in the PDF document. I asked our graphic designer about this but she has no idea, and she isn't very familiar with InDesign.
So, my question is, where are these lines coming from and how do I stop them from appearing? As a reminder, I'm not a graphic designer and am fdairly ignorant in design software terminology. If you're kind enough to try to help me with this problem, I'm going to require an explanation in plain English. Basically explain it to me like you would to a 10 year old.

I think Bob was typing too fast and meant to ask if you were distilling, not to tell you distill.
Distilled PDF (you get distilled by printing to PDF rather than exporting) always flattens transparency, which is what makes those white "stitching" lines.
You can make the stitching disappear on screen by turning off smoothing in the Acrobat prefs, and it shouldn't print on a press, but it sounds like you may be doing the output on a digital machine and it's likely to show on the lower resolution output.

White blocks appearing on pages. Please HELP!

I'm developing a website but I'm having problems with Safari. So far I've tested the website as follow:
PC:
IE 6, 7, 8
FireFox
Mac:
Safari
FireFox
Where not specified the browser's version is the latest.
The website is at http://www.douglasinscotland.co.uk/
I'm experiencing this problem in Safari for Mac only. The website is within a main frame as this method is forced by the hosting provider. I don't have access to the main (containing) frame of the frameset.
The problem: when browsing quickly between different pages in the website often the page don't seem to load properly. Instead of appearing with a consistent dark background, it appears with some white blocks as if the browser failed to load properly the background colour for certain parts of the page. To experience it you need to click several times on the menu in the top right of the website.
The strange thing is that when the white blocks appear they disappear when clicking deselecting the Safari window by clicking on the desktop or by switching to a different desktop in Spaces and going back to the one containing Safari.
I've tried this from a different Mac in a friend's house and it's happening the same.
I've used CSS and some JavaScripts on the pages.
Could anybody please give me a clue where to look at to solve this annoying problem?

i don't see it today- repeated loads, new sessions, empty cache...just can't re-create it.
I do get a flash of white background before each new page loads - but I think that's just webkit's slightly clunky way, it does that with plenty of dark background sites (not yours unless in a frame), whereas firefox & others seem to handle the changes more subtly.
Anyway - it's kinda hard to test with no problem showing here - Umm, I'd get all the page code cleaned up so it passes the W3C validator, just in case safari's getting flummoxed by a mix of x/html, and maybe test the frameset thing that's forced on you, using local files?... dunno really, sorry. I guess I'd blame Virgin's frameset code, which did seem to be guilty before, and say Oi, get some real hosting for the domain.

Why are mp3 icons appearing on my desktop when closing firefox

I unsuccessfully tried to download ringtones, now when i close firefox these ringtone icon appear on my desktop.

I deleted the download.sqlite files twice, but they keep reappearing in the profile directory when i open it. just like the icons do in my desktop.]
After a whole lot of trial and errors, and other program changes that I did not understand, Last night I went to Help/troubleshooting information and reset Firefox to Default State!!!! and the icons are no longer appearing.

Why are white letters "BF" in a red square in my address field of Safari?

My address bar has the letters "BF" in white font within a red sqare at the beginning of all addresses. Why?

This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. For instructions, launch the System Preferences application, select Help from the menu bar, and enter “Set up a guest account” (without the quotes) in the search box.
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.

After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of steps 1 and 2.

Why are photos not appearing complete when in PDf/preview mode for purchasing a photobook?

Everything appears perfect in the project mode, but when I went to order I got an error message from customer support. When I check the book in Preview my photos are coming up with scratchy white marks throughout. Almost all are super hi-res so that shouldn't be the issue. This is my first time with iPhoto, I usually have used Shutterfly, so am now concerned I just wasted 100 hours!

What size book? This has been reported doing extra large books - it has been reported to go away when the book size is reduced to large

Why are iOS apps appearing in iBooks on my Mac ?

Hello,
I got a problem with iBooks application on my Mac (Mac mini mid 2011, OS X 10.9).
Recently, I noticed I had lots of icons which are not books or pdf files in my iBooks library, but apps I downloaded on my iPhone from the app store. You can see it on the attached screen shots.
They appear as 'downloading', but they never download…
I tried to quit and launch again iBooks, restart my Mac mini… but nothing changed.
Do you have an idea of how I could fix it ?
(Without reinstalling the system would be better…)

You can backup your iTunes library any number of ways. An external hard drive using Time Machine or any other backup software would be one way. You can also backup the library to DVD. Read both of these articles.

Of course you can always download the apps again at no charge as long as you use the same Apple ID that you purchased them with.

Why are my layers appearing different when previewing them?

I have put my layer in a certain spot with an image in it and when i preview it, they appear in a different place. Does anyone know why this could be?

I think you should seriously rethink using APDivs as a primary layout method. Use CSS default positioning (which is no positioning at all). Then align elements with CSS Margins, Padding and Floats.

A white block appears in the top left corner of my screen - how do I get rid of it without restarting Firefox every time?

This seems to happen after I've used Firefox for a long time, or I've had several tabs open. The block covers all windows, whatever application I choose, and can't be dragged. I have to close Firefox and reopen it to remove it.

Why are Chinese characters appearring on tabs?

I seem to be having a problem. From time to time, what appears to be Chinese characters/radicals appear on my tabs - as shown in the image. I have 'refreshed' firefox a couple of times but I can't seem to narrow down where this is coming from or why it is happening.
I'm not sure if my system or version of Firefox has been hijacked, or if it's an add-on that is allowing an intrusion. Well - really - I'm not sure what's happening.
Any ideas?

I see that it's the McAfee SiteAdvisor program that's creating the problem.
I will contact McAfee about this, and disable or uninstall SiteAdvisor.

Why are photos suddenly appearing blank in Cameral Roll?

I updated my iPhone 4S to iOS 7 about a month after it was released. All has been okay up until today. When I take a photo, then go to edit it - it's not there. Well, it is there when you look in the Cameral Roll but when you touch it to look at it, it's just a white screen.

Why are iPad Notes appearing on my Mail Archive?

I entered a sensitive item in Notes on my iPad and nowhere else. Today that item has appeared on my iMac in a Gmail Archive folder on Mail. Why on earth should there be any connection between these two functions on different machines, and how much else goes from my iPad to Google without my knowledge ? iCloud is not (to the best of my knowledge) active.
Any explanation would be appreciated please -- this is rather worrying.
